Chapter 10 Not Said in Centuries #6
I had a niece and nephew, Nicholas and Natalie. Oden felt super protective of the new pups, as did I. We were on high alert when we went back inside. I could practically feel Thor’s presence. Dad was murderously glaring at every single Fairy that came up to Cassie and Cayden, ready to act.
Cayden was on alert himself. The only family members who relaxed were our Fairy cousins. I spotted the Henderson’s, and noted they were on alert right beside us. I did not miss Melanie pointing out someone to Ghiza, who reacted swiftly.
Nicholas clearly liked Melanie. I couldn’t help but smile.
My mate looked natural with a pup in her arms. One day we’d have pups of our own.
Oden purred, “Yes we will.” I could tell my niece and nephew were already powerful.
Not that any of us were surprised given who their parents were.
They had their wolves, and I was certain that meant mine and Melanie’s would too. That would be good.
If we could prepare knowing from when they were little if any of our girls had a white wolf, I could plan and keep my pups safe. Oden was right there along with me making plans. I linked Gage and Phil, “I need plans in case any of my little girls are born with white wolves.”
Phil snorted, “If? Alexander it’s a certainty.” I linked, “Oden?” My wolf answered, “It is a certainty.” Gage linked, “I’ve got plans on plans forming already. Phil and I were prepared for this from the White Wolf classes we attended.” Good.
Once Cassie and Cayden portaled out we relaxed. I led Melanie to the dance floor. I could easily feel something was off. So, after several songs I led Melanie to the edge of the dance floor and went to find my big brother.
When I got to EJ I asked, “Do you feel that? Something feels off.” EJ answered, “No. What are you talking about? You feel fine in our bond.” Wait, what? Oden was oddly quiet. Gage linked, “Why does your face have that look?”
Phil groaned, “What look? Why are you two bringing down the Hackura party and vibe? I knew I should’ve come to Faerie.” Gage snorted, “I’m here and it’s his ‘something is wrong, and his mate is doing new things’ face.” That could hardly be a face they named yet.
I turned around looking for my mate. Melanie was staring at a statue on the opposite side of the room. I linked Oden, “Is that Melanie feeling like something is wrong? Is that why I do?” Oden answered, “Yes, it is.”
I grumbled, “Hey, this is where you tell your human it’s not our feeling it’s theirs.” Oden sighed, “We will get better at differentiating, but the feeling was so strong I thought it was ours too.” Great. So it would take us years to get better at this. Just great.
Gage linked, “Why are their Goblin statues?” There wouldn’t be. I yelled down the link with my family and pack that was here, “IT’S AN ATTACK!” When Melanie drew a weapon, I was already snarling. Goblins appeared.
Uncle Aiden got to the one about to attack Melanie from behind. She’d turned her back on them to save Aiylee. I popped to the Goblin my Uncle Aiden had thrown away from my wife. I growled, “How the fuck did you get here?”
The Goblin hissed, “It’s like you think no one with Fairy blood opposes you, but they do.” I frowned and popped back to my uncle. I linked EJ, “This Goblin said that a Fairy let them into Faerie. One that opposes our family.”
EJ replied, “Angela said things got blurry. There are Fairies working with the Ring and we knew that.” We did, but still. Melanie was ranting about wanting normal things. I bit my lip. She and Cassie had made this the party of the year.
The whole realm cheered for my wife as she flushed with embarrassment.
I couldn’t help but be insanely proud of her.
EJ and Elise came over to us with the rest of my family.
Angela assured us the rest of the night should be just fine.
Melanie felt apprehensive about the wording. My little sister winked at me.
I pulled Melanie against me. Dad linked, “Just be back by midnight.” I agreed, “I can make that happen.” I popped my wife and I out to my wing in the castle. I told my mate, “This dress is something.” Melanie giggled, “I really like it.”
I ran my hands up and down her gown before saying, “So do I.” I snapped it off her. I growled, “No bra or underwear?” Melanie snorted, “You’d see them. It’s a backless dress, so… I don’t think that’s surprising.” I ran my fingertips along her spine.
I told my mate, “I noticed.” I leaned my head down and kissed Melanie’s neck. I traced circles around her hip bone. My wife shivered back into me. I snapped myself naked while trailing my other hand up to her breast.
Melanie gasped when I twisted her nipple lightly, her arousal filled the air. I couldn’t help but growl. Her head rested back on my shoulder so I kept kissing her neck. I moved my hand on her hip, parting her lower lips to reach her clit.
Melanie gasped, “Xander.” I chuckled, “You’ll be screaming my name soon.” My mate muttered, “I should’ve lost my voice already from how much I’ve screamed your name the last few days.” She wasn’t wrong, which meant Freya had to heal her vocal cords.
Oden chuckled in my head, “You’re correct.” Phil linked, “HELLO?! What is the problem?!” Gage chuckled, “It sucks being out of the loop, doesn’t it?” I warned, “I’m blocking you both out.” Then had Oden close the link.
I circled my finger making Melanie moan, her breath started coming faster. I teased her, “You sound like you’ve been running.” My mate whimpered as I slid my finger slowly inside her. I kept playing with her nipples as I slowly thrust my fingers in and out.
Melanie started rocking her hips against my hand. I bit my her and whispered, “Spread your legs apart.” She did without hesitation. I withdrew my hand which had my mate mewling in protest. I stuck my fingers in my mouth.
I whispered in her ear, “Taste how delicious you are.” I lined us up and slid into her from behind. Melanie shivered, “Xander… please.” I placed her hands on the wall so she could keep her balance. I put both my hands on my wife’s hips and thrust in hard making her clench around my dick.
Melanie screamed, “God, yes!” I kept up a fast pace that had my mate’s legs shaking. I growled, “Come now, my wife.” Her body instantly reacted to the command. Melanie shouted, “XANDER!” I growled and bit her mark.
My mate screamed again as her body twitched against me. I pounded into her as fast as I could and growled, “MELANIE!” Then came inside her. I held my wife up as we were both breathing heavily. I kissed the side of her head.
I asked her teasingly, “Do you think you can stay out of trouble if I take you back downstairs?” Melanie snorted, “Hey! I didn’t let Goblins in here. Wait…. uhhh who did?” I shrugged, “I’m guessing the Ring.” Melanie frowned, “No… not to brag… but uhhh… I would’ve known that.”
I stiffened realizing, “You’re right. Fuck!” I snapped our clothes back on, grabbed her hand, and popped back downstairs. Melanie linked me, “The Ring could sell the information about how to mess with Angela’s visions… this could be… I mean it makes sense… well… to a deranged person…”
I loved that clarification, because I was certain I knew where she was going with this.
Melanie continued, “What if this is an attempt to overthrow Aiden? Which… again… is deranged. He’s the strongest Fairy to ever live.
But maybe they think without Arion around…
they can do it? I don’t know, it’s crazy… but I think that’s what it is.”
I was actually already thinking that. I spotted my parents and quickly walked over to them. I looked around then asked, “Where are Aiylee and Uncle Aiden?” Mom frowned answering, “They just stepped outside with Exsis and Lucinda.”
I linked my family and Gage, “Find Uncle Aiden and Aiylee. Elise and Buttercup get on Aunt Lucinda. Theo you and Jane get our cousins together. Gage, do what you do when shit is about to hit the fan.” Gage replied, “On that.”
EJ asked, “What’s going on?” I answered, “Melanie pointed out that the Resistance would’ve known if the Ring was going to attack.
” EJ argued, “Angela said everything was fine.” I explained, “Melanie also pointed out that the Ring could sell information on how to mess with her visions. Plus, Angela said for now.”
Angela growled in our link, “I REALLY need Melanie to give me that book so I can get around the Ring and do something awful to them.” I had no idea what my little sister was talking about, but Melanie would be going to the library before we left.
I grabbed Melanie’s hand and popped to my Uncle Aiden. He and Aiylee were in the private place for royals in the Sky territory. Aiylee asked, “Alexander, what’s going on?” Melanie immediately asked, “Wait… where’s Exsis?”
Aiylee answered, “He popped out to walk the grounds. My husband takes security ever so seriously.” Melanie said, “Oh my gosh… that makes more sense! It’s not Aiden and Aiylee…
because even crazy people acknowledge attacking the promised siblings, or their family, is suicide…
they are going after Lucinda and Exsis. We have to go. ”
Aiylee’s hands lit up in anger. My cousin demanded to know, “What are you talking about?” I linked the family and my Gamma, “We think it’s Aunt Lucinda and Exsis! We’ve got him, find our aunt.” I popped with Melanie to Exsis.
My cousin’s mate was already fighting. Melanie tackled us both to the ground as shots rang out.
I felt the burn immediately but called up my wolf and Hackura sides.
My wife linked my family, “Stay out of here! Iron bullets are being fired.” Gage linked, “Are you hit?” Exsis shouted, “You cowards! Face me in a true battle!”
Melanie answered, “Yeah, they aren’t going to do that… they can’t beat you. You are the future King.” Gage shouted, “ALEXANDER!” I replied, “It’s nothing really.” Gage shouted, “YOU GOT FUCKING SHOT?!” I replied, “Barely. It’s a graze.”
