Chapter Thirty-Five
Wraith
Something cold hits my face in small droplets.
Frowning I open my eyes to the bright blue sky and a shadow over me.
Quickly I swing my arm out, lock it behind their knees and trip them.
A familiar yelp hits my ears and my vision adjusts.
Fritzi lays next to me with a now spilled bucket of what looks to be water.
A laugh catches my attention, so I turn to see Frani standing above us.
“Dumbass, I told you not to wake him up like that.” She shakes her head.
She looks at me and tosses me something. I look at it and see it’s a banana flavored muffin.
“Breakfast.” She says, walking off.
“I think my spleen is bleeding.” Fritzi groans dramatically.
“Sorry.” I grumble.
“Lesson learned.” He salutes.
I look back at the muffin then at Fritzi.
“No one’s cooking breakfast?” I ask.
He shakes his head. “Nope, we gotta grab n’ go so we can get on the road.”
“What time is it?” I ask.
“Almost eight thirty.”
Standing up I help him up and we walk inside the cabin. The front door is open and Halah exits it, putting on her biker gloves. Dad reenters the cabin and sees me.
“Ah, good you’re up.” He says.
“Yeah, after I almost died!” Fritzi exclaims.
“Like I said you shouldn’t’ve woken him up like that.” Frani says, exiting the cabin.
“How did you—wh—” Dad stutters. “Never mind.”
He turns his attention to me.
“Get ready so we can end this bullshit once and for all.”
You don’t have to tell me twice. I head down the hall to get ready.
When I’m out of my loungewear and in my biker gear, strapped with a few weapons I grab my helmet.
I look in the mirror to check myself while also doing a mental checklist to see if I got everything.
A few seconds later I exit the room and head outside. It’s time for Jamie to fucking die!
