Chapter 9
Chloe has proven to be very efficient at her job. Despite her age, she's very responsible. I still don't know anything about her personal life—whenever she talks, it's always about work.
I invited her to tonight's dinner with the client.
I'll start bringing her along because it's important for her to get this experience, so if I ever need her to, she'll know how to handle things on her own.
I called the store where I usually buy gifts for my girls.
I may be a player, but I always like to please whoever I'm with.
I gave them her measurements and hope I got them right, since I only eyeballed it. She may be small and petite, but she has a gorgeous body. She's not too thin—everything's in the right place and perfectly proportioned.
I catch myself imagining my hands sliding over her perfect curves, exploring every inch of that body.
Her breasts look firm, her ass nice and round...
What's happening to you, Alex? I shake these thoughts from my head.
She's too young and probably inexperienced.
And honestly, I don't have the patience to teach.
I prefer women who know exactly what to do in bed, without needing guidance on where to put their hands or mouth.
Especially when it comes to a good blowjob—something I love and appreciate more than anything.
I need to get laid. These dirty thoughts about my bratty little secretary aren't normal. It's been a few days since I spent a night with a woman, and it's messing with my head. I'll make up for lost time tonight, after dinner.
I hear a knock at the door, and since I already know it's Chloe, I get up from my chair and walk over, swinging it open. She jumps, startled, and I flash her that cocky smile of mine, as always. I know she loves it... They all do!
“Sorry for startling you. I figured it was you. Has the client arrived?”
“Yes, sir. I came to let you know.”
She's still breathing heavily from the scare. Still smiling, I head to the meeting room and find Mr. Otávio already settled in with his coffee.
Due to the country's currency adjustment, we had to adjust the percentages as well. Since then, we've been renewing client contracts. Since these are long-standing clients who renew every year, it's a quick, straightforward meeting.
When we finish, I say goodbye to Mr. Otávio and leave the room. I leave Chloe to get the signature and deliver the copy of the contract. I walk into my office and find a large bag sitting on my desk. I look inside and see two boxes.
I leave the door open so I can see my assistant return to her desk. When I spot her, I call her over, and she comes right away.
“Yes, sir?”
“How did the rest of the process go?”
“Everything went smoothly. I'll file the contract now. He also requested a new one for next month because his investments are going to increase.”
“That's great! Did he give you the amount?”
“Yes. We worked out all the details. It'll actually be a new investment.”
“Did you talk to him about our new proposals?”
A few days ago, Chloe gave me the idea to launch a new type of investment—something a bit different from our current real estate credits. I'd never thought of that. After talking to her, I scheduled a meeting with an engineer friend, and he explained how it all works.
“He thought it was great because real estate holds its value well, whether it's a finished property or a renovation project. I also mentioned the options—sale or rental.”
“Perfect! My friend who agreed to work with me already has some ideas for renovations and construction. So we can schedule a meeting before the contract signing.”
“Yes, that's what I told Mr. Otávio. That way he'll know what's best for him.”
“You've proven to be excellent at your job, Chloe. Of all my assistants, you're the best one I've had since I took over as president.”
“Thank you, sir! I'm just doing my job.”
“And you do it very well. That's why I'll start taking you to dinners with clients, so you can learn the ropes and handle things when I'm not around. Anyway, this bag is yours. I hope it fits!”
“You can deduct it from my salary...”
“It's a gift from me,” I cut her off, “after all, you deserve it for being so dedicated. Besides, I'm also going to give you a bonus for your performance.”
“Wow! I don't even know what to say... Thank you so much, sir!”
“You don't need to thank me. You deserve it! I'll send a car to pick you up at your place. Give me your address, please!”
“You don't need to, sir, I can...”
“No arguments! It'll pick you up at eight. Send me the address, or I can ask HR.”
“Okay, I'll text it to you. Thank you!!”
She leaves my office with the bag, and we get back to work. I start reviewing the contract we're presenting at tonight's dinner. Impeccable, as always. We made some necessary changes, and now it's perfect—providing clients with more detailed information.
Even though Chloe hasn't been here long as my personal secretary, she's already pointed out some flaws I'd let slip by without realizing it.
Small details, but they made a big difference once we changed them.
Take the contracts, for example. Together with my lawyers, we decided to add some clauses that gave clients a real advantage.
Nothing that'll affect the company negatively, but yes, we'll have a lot of new clients. And according to our analysts' studies, this will increase our cash flow within twelve months. The idea was brilliant!
Finally, our workday comes to an end. Chloe lets me know she's heading out and that she'll be ready at eight sharp. She sends me her address, and I see it's a bit far from my place, so I decide to have the driver pick her up while I meet her at the restaurant.
My driver lets me know he's pulling up, so I decide to wait for them at the entrance. The car finally parks, and I open the door for Chloe to get out. As soon as I see her, I'm completely frozen in place.
