Hope for the future
Violet POV
I woke up alone in my bed the next morning, not that I actually went to sleep with anyone.
Over this couple of months I got so used to seeing Cierra as soon as I woke up but today she wasn't here, I got up and got ready, I pack my bags and pulled on a cute outfit. I had to get back to the agency today...it was too risky leaving both criminals here.
I got dressed into something cute, I wanted to feel pretty in front of Xander today...
I tucked in a simple white top into some beige high waisted shorts before locking my door and heading towards the breakfast area.
When I entered I couldn't recognize anyone so I took my own tea and pancakes to a table by the window.
Looking out at the same ocean I always used look at as a child.
"Frost?"
I looked up at Cierra who was holding a fruit bowl and now has taken a seating in front of me.
"You didn't come home least night." I winked send a blush to cover her cheeks.
"Yea, I was with Cameron, we..."
She tilted her head back to her hair fell of her shoulder and a perfect Beta mark sat gently on her shoulders. A perfect crescent moon with Cameron's and her initials designers carefully underneath it.
I squealed
"Oh my gosh Blizzard you marked! Does that mean you are moving?"
I couldn't help my tone from becoming slightly more dejected.
" Jace, made a deal with my sister and her mate, they going to move down here also. I just have to request a transfer...I am so sorry Vio."
I shook my head, " no blizzard don't be sorry! I am so happy for you and Cam, I know he will treat you right and that's all I want is for my friends to be treated right."
She leaned over the table and gave me a hug before we started to discuss plans about leaving. We said we will leave at about 12 hear. We were going to borrow Alpha Stephan's jet and take it home then bring it back.
Why alpha S has a jet? He claims it is his mate. Leave the poor man.
Soon thereafter everyone started piling into the breakfast room. All the Wolves able to smell Cierra's scent change, I couldn't, I could turn my eyes yellow at times when my emotions are heightened but that's just it.
The group joined the table seating around and eating when Xander stepped up and sat diagonally opposite me.
"Violet? Are you okay?" I turned and look towards my sister, " you seem a bit happier, and your glowing."
"Yas she looks like she just had se-" Brie slapped a hand across her mates mouth.
"There are children here."
"So Violet, who did you do the dirty with." Alana asked wiggling her eyebrows. Using more appropriate language in front of her child.
Ian growled.
"I didn't do anything , my gosh guys." I blushed . Avoiding all eye contact with Xander who was staring at me so intently with a slight smirk on his lips.
"Well I wonder what I saw last night."
I looked up at Reese who was still looking down at his breakfast, his hand tightly holding his coffee cup.
"Reese.." I whispered almost warning him.
"Spill then Beta Beta" Dylan suggested.
"He doesn't have to say anything." Xander stayed softly making no eye contact with anyone but me.
"Well he is my alpha, I am telling him to say something." Ian fought back.
"Reese?"
"Alpha."
"What did you see."
"Alpha.."
"What the hell did you see Beta."
Ian growled.
I held my fork tightly, stupid Reese needed to open his mouth.
"I saw Xander and Violet kiss....more then once."
Ian growled standing up and flipping the table over causing all our food to fly everywhere. Immediately Reese Dave and Dylan got up to control their alpha but his eyes we set on me.
"Your my mate." He growled.
"I'm not anymore, I have made my choice ."
"Your wolf comes out when you kiss me." He said very demanding.
I shook my head gently avoiding the eyes of the other people, my wolf come out when my emotions are heightened, the first night they came out because I finally got rid of the burden- of the secret I have kept for four years.
...it came out again last night after...
" I took in a deep breath. " after I kissed Alpha Xander. "
"Why would you do that to me to your mate.?" Ian's voice stayed strong, his voice not breaking not showing any hint of emotion, but his eyes, those grey orbs told me everything.
They lightly glazed over, hurt and rejection swimming around them.
I gulped, he looked so hurt. His eyes looked like mine back then. He is practically going through everything I went through and I never want anyone to feel that way , not even the man that made me feel it.
"I'm sorry Ian, you put me through much but...but I forgive you for it, what I am sorry for is that I can't be the mate you want now." I took a deep breathe. " my heart belongs to another and I can't betray myself by with with you now. I'm sorry."
I turned and quickly left the room . I could hear my heart as well as his breaking.
But I'm not a wolf.
I'm a human.
I don't have a mate.
I have a choice.
I can find my own love.

Several hours later , Cierra joined me up in our room.
Well she barged I to the room leaving the door wide open.
"So I made a plan, and we might not have to go to Europe."
I raised my eyebrow and started up her tall frame.
" what you you mean we have to go back to the EA to deliver Philip and Zain and you know we live there.."
She sat down on the bed and took my hand in hers. " I decided to stay here and transfer to the agency here, you can do it too...but anyway I called up a friend and he is patching us through to James and Teresa .." she looked at her watch. " now."
Soon the laptop in front of us flashed brightly and the incoming call came through that Cierra answered.
"Blizzard , Frostbite Thank gosh you both are fine, we lost all connection with you the other day." James stated, he was an elderly man, maybe in his forties but looked good for his age, he was leaning on the desk next to Teresa and another much older man.
"Girls this is Samuel, he is one of those in charge of the European agencies."
We greeted the new man before turning our attention back to James.
"There has been a situation, one not so easy to explain over the phone. But we seemed to have caught Zain Carver instead of Just watching him. It had something to do with Phillip and Nick, but .." I didn't know what to say without indulging in the world of supernatural.
"Phillip?" James interrupted , " that's where he went. Tell me Frostbite, did he want something quite..unusual."
I froze , so did Cierra.
"Yes sir...unusual."
James looked in the screen and flashed his eyes. Bright red for a second. Just a second, that I could doubt actually seeing it.
I let out a loud gasp, James was a werewolf.
Unconsciously my eyes glowed yellow in response to the alpha.
Soon after Teresa and Samuels eyes glowed back yellow in return.
"Wait , you all are wolves?"
James nodded.
" Phillip knew to, but he was Mortal .
Back when we were training together several years ago he found out after I broke a bone but healed quickly , from then he wanted to change.
Hence he took up an interest in Zain Carver, he knew he was a wolf because of the supernatural department of the agency gave him access to the books. I'm sorry girls if he caused you harm."
I shook my head and proceeded to tell them everything that has occurred from Zain to adam to the fact that Phillip and Nick were held in another pack jail.
"I agree with blizzard, we will call some men up to pick up Phillip and Nick and from there they will handle it. You to may come home." Samuel stated before walking off Camara.
"That's what I needed to talk to you about Teresa , I am switching to this agency, I met my mate here and I strongly feel the need to stay."
"Very well Blizzard. I will email you the paper work... Frostbite would you be returning to fill out formalities and I'm guessing return to blizzard?"
I shook my head.
"I will be returning for the formalities but I do feel I will stay at the EA, I have nothing keeping me back here."
Just at the end of the sentence a small growl filled the room.
I looked up wide eyes at the door Cierra left open, Xander stood there with a bouquet of dahlias in his hands.
"Nothing to stay for hey."
He turned and walked out the room.
I quickly got up shouting for him to wait , but when I got to the hallway he was already gone.
