26. "Hell will freeze over before I let you do that."

"Put your phone on silent." Came Aiden's command as he worked on playing Beauty and The Beast on his TV.

I raised an eyebrow at him almost judgementally. "Is yours on silent?"

He surprised me by throwing his phone towards me on the bed. "Turn it off."

I stared at him in astonishment for a minute before turning his phone off and then switching mine off as well. A knock sounded on the door just then, and he went to open it. When he returned to my line of view, I saw him carrying a giant bowl of popcorn.

My eyes lit up. "I'm surprised you considered getting popcorn."

He gave me a judgmental look. "Who watches a movie without popcorn?"

I giggled. "True.... I still can't believe you're agreeing to watch a Disney movie with me."

My cheeks heated up as he sat in bed next to me, putting the bowl of popcorn between us.

"It's a lot better than seeing you watch it with Andrew." He said, pressing a button on the remote to play the movie.

I gasped loudly as a realisation hit me. "Oh no, I forgot to tell him I can't do a movie night with him."

He firmly grasped my hand that reached out to grab my phone, his gaze darkening. "The movie has started. He'll take the hint."

"That's not nice." I retorted.

His grip on my hand tightened. "Forget about him for once."

I huffed. "Be honest. Are you jealous of Andrew?"

"He's quite clearly into you." He grumbled, leaving my hand.

I gaped at him in disbelief. "What? Oh my God, that is not true!"

He narrowed his eyes at me. "I'm sorry, but you have to be really dumb not to see that."

I frowned. "What makes you think he's into me?" Even saying that felt weird. I could not even imagine him being more than a friend.

He frowned as well. "The way he looks at you. The way he was feeding you when you passed out in the hospital."

I shot him a lame look. "I had an IV, and he was being a good friend. Feeding someone does not mean that you have romantic feelings for them."

"If you want to live in denial, then be my guest." He retorted.

I huffed. "He's my friend. And that's it. I can't imagine him being more than that. Stop being a drama queen about him."

He narrowed his eyes at me. "Did you just call me a drama queen?"

"Yes," I shot. "That's what you're being."

"Do you want to watch the movie or not?" His eyes darkened.

"I think I'll watch with Andrew." I declared, reaching out for my phone.

A gasp sounded from my throat as his big arm wrapped around my abdomen, pulling me to his chest, while his other hand moved the popcorn bowl away from between us. My cheeks heated up at the feeling of our clad bodies pressed together.

"Hell will freeze over before I let you do that." He muttered menacingly in my ear, his soft lips slightly touching my earlobe. I shuddered at the sound of his voice and the feeling of our proximity.

I gulped, finding myself at a loss for words. I diverted my attention to the screen, trying not to be overwhelmed by how our bodies were touching. His body heat enveloped me like a warm and comfortable hug. And so did his arm around my torso that held me in place.

"You're grumpy like the beast." I spoke after a while of silence.

He snorted. "You're a beauty like Belle." My heart fluttered, and then he added to my shyness by kissing my temple.

I cleared my throat. "You should build me a library."

"What?" He chuckled incredulously.

I shrugged. "Fill it up with both medical and romance books."

He laughed softly. "I'm not that generous, little one. That is too extravagant."

I scoffed. "Even the beast is more thoughtful than you... he's also hot."

He threw his head back laughing. I turned to watch him in amazement. He was genuinely laughing. It seemed unreal.

"You're calling that creature hot?" He asked after recovering from his laughter.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "He's a lot better than you."

He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, he's the one arranging you conferences and places to stay."

I gasped. "You're counting your favours on me?"

"Just reminding you, little one. The only person you're allowed to like is me. No Andrews and no beasts."

I bit my lip to keep myself from laughing. "You did not just say that."

"I did. And I would take it seriously if I were you." He deadpanned.

"Or what?" I challenged.

His grip on me tightened as he neared my ear. "Or I'll kill those people in cold blood if they so much as look at you the wrong way."

My eyebrows shot up. "You need to chill."

He didn't reply, instead he returned his attention to the screen. I did the same. Several minutes later, I felt his fingers on my arm, gently stroking up and down. I felt butterflies in my stomach and tingles all over.

That's when I remembered that we had totally forgotten about the popcorn.

"Aiden, the popcorn." I pointed to the bowl he had put aside earlier.

He grabbed it and to my surprise, put it between my legs.

I shot him a judgmental look. "Your hand better end up in the bowl and not somewhere else." I warned.

"Trust me, you want to wish my hand ends up somewhere else."

My cheeks burned up. "You have no shame." I uttered, grabbing some popcorn and eating it.

He only snickered.

"Here." I brought some popcorn to his lips.

He wrapped his mouth around not only the popcorn but also my fingers. I gasped, pulling my hand away and wiping it on his shirt, before shooting him a cheeky grin.

His eyes burned up with mischief. He caught me off guard by grabbing my hand and sucking two of my fingers for a few seconds. I slapped his shoulder playfully with my other hand, before straddling him without any forethought.

He watched me, amused.

I caught him by surprise by sticking my tongue out and licking his cheek.

He chuckled, the vibrations of his chest rippling through my body, making me still as a strange sensation bubbled within me.

"You can lick me all over, little one. I won't mind." He said, a smug smirk standing proud on his face.

I blushed. "You really have no shame."

"You're the one straddling me." He teased.

"You sucked my fingers. Do you like sucking things, Aiden?" I teased back.

He smirked devilishly. "Absolutely. For example, I would love to suck your nipples until you beg me to stop."

My eyes widened, cheeks reddening as those bold and inappropriate words slipped right out of his mouth. "Th-that is so—"

"Hot?" He interjected playfully. "It would feel a lot hotter, trust me."

I gasped as he teasingly started lifting my shirt upwards.

"Have some shame." I reprimanded, slapping his hands. He stopped his advances instantly, however, the playful look in his eyes never went away.

"I think we've already established that I have no shame, little one." His voice was low.

My heart was beating dangerously fast, and to make matters worse, I felt something hard and big beneath me.

He let out a low growl as I shifted on his lap.

"I-is that—" I wasn't able to finish my sentence because he lifted me up with ease and put me down beside him on the bed.

"Look at you making me hard, little one." He teased.

My cheeks turned red as a tomato.

"You should do something about that." I said, keeping my eyes glued to the screen, but I could no longer focus on the movie.

"I usually call Luna when I have these kinds of problems." He said.

My heart twisted in my chest. "Call her then."

I gasped loudly as he put his head on my lap all of a sudden and looked up at me. "Why call her when I have you?"

I fought my blush. "I can't do anything about it. Take a cold shower, I guess."

He chuckled.

"You still haven't told me what your relationship with Luna is." I found myself saying.

"She's the girl I call when I need to get laid."

I cringed at his choice of words. "So she's just someone to satisfy your sexual needs?"

"Hmm."

"So you're using her?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

He did the same. "I'm not using her. She was told that it was purely mutual pleasure and nothing else. I don't do relationships."

I sighed, looking ahead. "I can't imagine being a vessel of pleasure to be used as and when required, and then tossed away."

I stiffened as he played with my hair. "Who could use you just for pleasure and then toss you away? Only a fool."

I met his gaze. "I think you should turn the TV off, and we should focus on sleeping."

He mock gasped and I looked at him in confusion. "Sleeping? That's so inappropriate, little doctor. You're trying to get into my pants already?"

I gasped at his boldness and playfully slapped him. He chuckled as I did, sitting up and turning the TV off.

"You always sleep on the couch. I'll take it this time." I said.

He shook his head, grabbing my hand as I tried getting off the bed. "Fuck the couch."

I raised an eyebrow at him. "I do not desire inanimate objects."

He snickered. "Desire me then." He neared my face, his breath fanning my lips.

I gulped. "I don't desire scary CEO's either."

He feigned hurt, making me roll my eyes.

"I'm sleepy, Aiden. Let go."

"Sleep with me." He stated.

I stared at him wide-eyed.

He chuckled. "I mean the clean, innocent kind."

I raised an eyebrow.

He sighed. "Please. I'll stay on my side. Who knows? I might not have any nightmares with you by my side."

"That's silly."

"Please." He looked like an innocent, little boy.

"Fine." I mumbled, giving in.

I gawked at him as a smile stretched on his face.

"You should smile more often." I told him.

"You should give me a reason to." He said softly.

"I'll try." I whispered, before getting off the bed.

"Where are you going?" He asked, almost in a complaining tone.

"Bathroom." I told him.

"Oh okay then."

Soon, we were both laying in bed, and I was putting a pillow between us to create a boundary. Aiden was looking at me both judgmentally and protestingly as I did.

I shot him a warning look. "Do not cross the boundary."

He scoffed, rolling his eyes, before turning to the other side. I laid down, watching his back for a few minutes, getting a sudden and unbearable urge of throwing the pillow away and cuddling him.

Somewhere between watching his back and wishing for his arms to be around me, I fell asleep.
