Chapter 36 #2
Almost instantly, his wing shifted and gracefully scooped her up, gently cradling her within its curved shape. Surprised, she let out a soft yelp. As her gaze swiftly met Jayce’s, she noticed him walking towards her, simultaneously drawing her closer with a tender gesture.
As they drew near, his wing gently guided her to her feet and pressed her against him. Her hands rested on his chest, and as she looked up at him, the sight of his flustered face caused her own cheeks to blush.
“You’re willing to make me risk death for you, do you know that?” His voice, silky and tempting, sent a shiver down her spine. When his thumb brushed her chin, she released the breath she’d been holding.
Burning up, she asked, “What did I do?”
“My wings are hidden at all times through a glamour,” he explained, wrapping them around the two of them. “But if you keep treating them that well, Sunshine, I may keep them out for further affection.”
Biting her lip, she raised her hand over his shoulder, gently brushing her fingers along the feathers. “Then only bring them out to play with me.”
The shock on his face quickly gave way to pure, raw lust. His hand was behind her head, fingers through her hair, gently pulling her back.
“Never in my years have they been out for someone, even another Fae.” The prospect sent shivers throughout her body, and he felt or saw them because he let out a soft, throaty laugh.
“A first for even me, that is quite the feat.”
She swallowed, feeling his lips at her throat, finding it fit to press a kiss. A low, needy moan escaped her, and she felt his smile. When he bit down, rougher than the night before, she gripped his shirt and arched her back.
“Ah—” The grumbly moan she released only enticed him more.
His opposite arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer.
His tongue flicked across her skin, igniting her entire body with euphoria.
She knew he was sucking, and her body moved without guidance.
In a feeble attempt to wrap her leg around his hip, she settled for his thigh; she cursed her short stature or his towering height.
It didn’t faze him. His hand slipped under her leg, lifting it, and inevitably, her. Taking it as an invitation, she wrapped both legs around him while his lips trailed down to her collarbone, kissing and running his tongue along her sensitive skin.
The night before, they had barely ventured beyond him touching her stomach and back, leaving small marks across her shoulders.
She had expressed her fear of going too far and ruining the moment.
Jayce, a true gentleman, assured her that she’d never ruin anything.
He promised to always watch and feel for her cues, whether through her words or her soul.
Her soul yearned for him, and she feared that it would betray her body.
He turned so he could sit her on the ledge, his hands slipping under the sides of her shirt and she put her arms up for him to remove it.
There was no hesitation, and she felt her muscles tense as his eyes, full of desire, took in her own.
The moon’s light now overtaking the sleeping sun, illuminated those beautiful iridescent colors in his feathers.
The absolute need to touch them was something she could not explain, and it was like he felt that radiating off of her and tucked them closer so she could fulfill the desire.
“Remember,” his lips were mere inches from her, “stop me if it is too much.” With a decisive nod, he placed a kiss on her lips before leaning back down, trailing the central line down her chest. Her breathing was choppy, and she curled her toes in anticipation of him finding her breasts.
One of his hands was keeping her steady, while the other was slowly moving around her waist, his fingers dangerously close to the underside of her breast.
Her hand reached around his shoulders, finding her fingertips brushing downward against the silky feathers. They quivered under her touch, and she felt the need in his lips cupping over her nipple. The rapture that overtook her body sent her head flying back and an unadulterated moan escaped.
The vibration from his own groan against her skin sent another wave of pleasure that shot straight through her stomach and made her legs tremble.
He shifted to her other, and ran his tongue around her hardened bud, before encapsulating it with his lips and sucking gently.
His hand that had been slowly moving to grasp one, took it into his hand, massaging it with gentle, yet needy, motions.
As she leaned back, instead of the sea beneath her, his smooth wings served as a cushion, supporting her, and keeping her upright.
As she gazed down at him, he met her eyes, and whatever he perceived sent tremors through her entire body.
His eyes widened, and she drew in a deep breath, suddenly aware that one of her hands was entwined in his hair, and the other rested against his wing.
“W-what...” Her voice came out breathy, and she swallowed, a mixture of confusion and anticipation lingering in the air.
In the span of a single blink, the light hazel eyes she had come to associate with him transformed into the more notable ones of the Fae.
They turned into a vibrant amethyst, more intense than any she had ever seen, glowing in the darkened night.
“I realized that I was seeing who you were, but you weren’t seeing me,” he confessed with an intoxicating smile, causing her to bite down on her lip and shift. “Only for you, though.”
He moved his attention back to his previous efforts, but instead of going to her breast, he kissed down her stomach. A world-shattering vibration rolled through her body.
“Jayce—“ She had shorts on, and undergarments, but that was her most feared place.
While her entire body healed, she never wanted to look between her legs.
The sheer terror that gripped her made her hesitant to discover whether he had caused any permanent damage.
Although it likely healed like everything else, the knowledge that that part of her was both a traitor and the focal point of his pain kept her in the shadows.
He didn’t look up at her, but lingered at her belly button, “Tell me when to stop.” He whispered against her skin, and she pressed her lips together.
Slowly, he moved down, his lips finding her hip bone, kissing, and leaving gentle bites as he did.
There was no physical sensation as he lowered her shorts and kissed the curve between her thigh and pelvis.
He looked up at her, and she was breathing heavily, burning with both desire and fear. Torn between wanting to confront her fears and the urge to make him stop, tears brimmed in her eyes.
Jayce immediately stood and wrapped his arms around her shoulders, pulling her close. “I’m sorry—I’m sorry—” She found herself apologizing, feeling she had ruined the moment. “Damn him, damn him—” Rubbing her eyes on his chest, she brushed away the fallen tears.
“Shh,” his gentle hand stroked down her hair, placing kisses along her head. “Don’t apologize. You’re making incredible progress, remember, one step at a time.” His encouraging words began to calm her turmoil, and her body ceased its trembling. “Look at me, Sunshine.”
She sniffled, leaning back and sheepishly looking up at him. “Tell me, “his caring voice was filled with understanding, “what I can help you overcome.”
Her lips parted slightly, watching as he looked from her lips back up to meet her gaze. His shining eyes, both strange and alluring, made her body vibrate with ecstasy. “I haven’t looked or touched since then… I’m afraid of so much. Did I heal? Will it feel the same? Do I even get aroused…”
He grinned, “I can answer that last one,” making her blush. “I don’t even need to touch you to know that you are…” he let out a throaty groan, making her heart flutter, “quite aroused.”
After placing a gentle, quick kiss on her lips, he continued, “Do you want to stop?”
She shook her head, and he kissed her again, lifting her from the railing. Notably, he placed one hand under her butt and gave it a playful squeeze. She smiled, appreciating that he considered her feelings while also reigniting the mood.
Before she knew it, he was tossing her onto the bed, his wings tucked behind his back, their grandeur unaffected.
“How does it ... work, the glamour?” she asked, watching him effortlessly tear his shirt off.
“Ah, it’s complicated. Magic sometimes has no limits, and let’s just say this is one of those things that defies what should and shouldn’t be possible.
” She recalled Kaed’s initial comment about Magic, causing a shiver to erupt down her spine—not out of fear, but intrigue.
“I’m one of very few who can, along with shifting my appearance. ”
He was moving to her then, his fingers lacing under her shorts, but minding to keep her underwear on.
“And your ears?” Her breathy tone barely audible.
“Pointy,” he lifted her legs to remove her shorts. He kept one of them, kissing at her ankle, “I keep those as human as possible, though. Since those are a telltale sign of being Fae.” He was moving further up towards her knee.
She was blushing, her hands cupping one another in front of her mouth as she watched him slowly crawling up her body, “Jayce…”
“Hmm?” He gazed up at her, his eyes filled with pure love.
“When I’m whole again,” she covered her face, embarrassed about what she was going to say, “I want you to take me without reservation. No holding back. I want—”
His speed propelled the bed against the wall, the headboard cracking beneath his hands.
He was over her in an instant, his wings vibrating as they had when she touched them.
The room seemed to buzz, as if gravity itself was being lifted, and the air around her became thinner and cleaner.
His Magic was unlike anything she had ever felt before, its raw strength could instill fear in everyone but not her.
“You aren’t easily broken, Sunshine, but I will not be testing your limits until I am certain you are okay,” he whispered, his warm breath caressing her skin. “But, one day,” he gently brushed his lips down her neck, “you won’t have to ask for me to go harder.”
Her soul departed her body, and the room became unbearably hot.
He must have sensed her desire because he slid beside her, took her hand, and pressed it to his lips.
Kissing her fingers before moving them down her body together, he kept his hand over the top of hers, bringing them under her panties.
She gasped, pulling back and looking up at him.
“You first,” his arm wrapped around her neck, drawing her close, and he claimed her lips with his own. While her hand trembled, she released the strength she was fighting against his advancements. He laced his fingers between her own and slipped them between her thighs.
The shock at how wet she was, translated to a soft gasp that barely escaped through their kiss. His finger pushed hers between her slit, and she took a deep breath, closing her eyes tightly and deepening the kiss.
The feeling of touching herself while he guided her was like an out of body experience.
Only after he guided her through the precipice did he refrain from going any further, allowing her to find the piece of herself she was so afraid to feel.
Everything was as it was before, a comfort she needed, yet also a source of pain.
Was my fear even valid? She thought, feeling a wound in her heart as she began to slide her hand out from her undies.
“Yes,” he broke their kiss, capturing her gaze, “it is.” Taking her hand into his, he laced their fingers together and pulled her on top of him.
She spread her legs and straddled his hips, her body molding into his, relishing their skin-to-skin connection. “Do you always hear my thoughts?” She felt a twinge of embarrassment at the prospect, wondering if anything could remain a secret.
“You… said it through your window.”
“Of course I did,” she groaned, “I’ve had a mental block for so long, it’s strange keeping it open. I should probably close it…” she eyed him, all the while he kept the cheesy grin on his face.
“You should, I enjoy coming and knocking.” He pulled her up, placing a fleeting kiss against her lips.
“Jayce, how the hell—“ She bit the corner of her lip, suddenly realizing that something was missing given their position. “How do you have so much… restraint?!” Not once had she felt his arousal against her.
“Oh, Sunshine,” his fingers laced through her hair, the other brought her hand up to his lips. He kissed her fingers, inhaling deeply through his teeth. “I can promise you it is difficult. However, I don’t want to push you, and that is what keeps me sated.”
“I know, but I haven’t even—” she began to scoot down slightly, and his hand slapped her butt so hard that she let out a cry. He hadn’t meant to slap it, caught up in the quick movement. “J-Jayce!!” she whimpered.
He let out a laugh, “I’m so sorry, but please, Azahara, why would you even test my strength like that?” His hand massaged her now stinging cheek, lifting her up off of him. “By the Mother,” he released her and brought his hands up to his face. “The things you do to me.”
She was blushing intensely, and she knew both of her cheeks were the same shade of red. “I just haven’t even felt it once, I’m innocent, I swear.” Her mock whimpering fell on deaf ears as he shook his head in consternation. “Do you glamour that too?”
His eyes went wide, “No, you didn’t just ask me that.”
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Do you want to touch it?”
“Oh, by the Mother, don’t ask me that!”
“Well, now you have to—”
“JAYCE!”
She was so, so happy.
