Chapter 31

Watermelon Sugar – Harry Styles

Cassidy

Waking up to Gunner’s mouth between my legs as the pale morning light peaked through the drapes was the best Sunday morning I’d ever had.

My muscles ached from the night before because Gunner had been as good as his word.

He’d spent hours giving me his undivided attention until we’d fallen asleep for the final time, just before four.

“Gunner,” I gasped, gripping his hair, making sure he didn’t move his mouth from where I needed it the most. I needed him there because I needed him.

When we’d stopped fighting I’d realized he was a decent man, but now, after only a short time of dating I knew so much more.

Like this was different from any other relationship I’d had.

That he was different from any other man I’d been with.

His passion for his family, his home, his job, it made him so much more than the handsome cowboy with the incredible body.

It made him the man I knew it would be impossible to forget.

“Morning, sweetheart,” he murmured. “You feel like you’re still riding that horse?”

“Yes,” I said on a long breath. “God, yes.”

He’d fucked me hard, every position he could think of. His big body between my legs as he created magic with his incredible dick. His gorgeously smooth, heavenly big dick.

“You’re so good at this,” I told him as his tongue continued to push in and out of me. “Really good, honey.”

My grip on his hair got tighter when he hummed against my clit. The vibration waved through my body, lighting up every nerve ending and practically shooting sparks through my nipples. At least that was how it felt.

As my orgasm grew I felt like I was floating, looking down on the hottest man alive giving the most turned on woman alive the best oral she’d ever had. Gunner Miller most definitely had a silver tongue.

When I went off the edge of that cliff I went screaming, thrusting against Gunner’s face so hard that he was probably struggling to breathe.

“Amazing,” I gasped, looking down at Gunner who was still between my legs. “You are amazing.”

He grinned at me, his face shiny from my release. “It’s all in the muscle action. In fact, did you know that the tongue is a marvel of human nature.”

“Really?” I lifted onto my elbows and laughed. “In what way?”

“It’s composed of eight muscles, all with a wide range of movement. So, the fact that I’m that good with eight muscles all at the same time says something about the man that I am, don’t you think?” He wiggled his eyebrows. “And who says men can’t multi-task?”

He moved from the bed and padded naked across the bedroom, through a dancing cloud of tiny dust specs in a shaft of light, as I got a perfect view of perfect ass. It was well-defined and muscular and tanned, which gave me pause.

“How come you have a tanned ass?” I called.

“What?” Water started to run in the bathroom, and I giggled at the idea of him washing his face. After a few seconds I heard his bare feet against the tile and he appeared in the bedroom doorway, gloriously naked. “Say that again.”

“I asked how come your ass is tanned?” I licked my lips, thirsty for more of him.

With his hands on his slim hips, he strolled toward me, confident and totally unabashed that his dick was still half-mast.

“How do you think?” Kneeling on the bed he crawled toward me.

“Naked sunbathing?” I asked, my eyes wide with shock. “On the ranch?”

“We have thousands of acres, sweetheart, there are plenty of secret little spots. In fact,” he ran a finger down over my boob, circling my nipple, “remind me to show you sometime.”

“I’d like that.” My hips instinctively moved toward him, like we were magnetized.

Gunner’s eyes fluttered closed as I rubbed up against him. “Something else you’d like?” he asked, his voice low and gravelly. “Greedy girl.”

“So greedy,” I whispered as his hand moved to cup my ass.

He pushed me onto my back and dropped his mouth to my nipple, circling it with his tongue and then sucking hard.

“I was going to suggest breakfast in bed,” I told him, arching my back, desperate for more.

Gunner chuckled. “And that’s exactly what I’m going to have.”

And he did for another half hour before I had mine on my knees in the shower.

“You sure about this?” Gunner asked, holding our hands up and kissing my knuckles. “Being seen in public with me.”

We were walking down Latymer, on our way to Missy May’s Diner for breakfast, seeing as we hadn’t managed to get any back home. Well, it was more like brunch as it was almost eleven-thirty.

“Of course I’m sure.” I wrapped an arm around his bicep and leaned into him. “I’m proud to be seen with you. What about you?”

He looked down on me and frowned. “How could you think any different?” He looked genuinely concerned.

“I was joking.” I ran a finger over the two lines between his eyes. “I’m delighted to be seen with you.” I stood on my tiptoes to kiss him. “Do you know how many women will be spitting green fire of jealousy once they find out?”

“Does that mean you’re only with me for my body?” Thankfully his signature grin was back. “Because I feel objectified now.”

“Your body and your introverted nature.”

He pulled me closer, squeezing my side as he dropped a kiss to the top of my head. “And I like you for your body and your meekness.”

We both burst out laughing and continued toward our destination. As we reached the liquor store, we were almost bowled over by someone. It was Peggy, Lily’s grandma carrying a brown bag that she could barely see over.

“Woah there.” Gunner put his hands out to steady her before she and her bag fell to the floor. “On the booze already, Peggy?”

She lowered the bag and rolled her eyes. “I’m having a soiree this evening and my daughter thinks two bottles of wine is sufficient.”

“For how many?” I asked, peeking into the bag where I could see the tops of four more bottles.

“Four of us,” Peggy told me and then gave me a hard stare, daring me to agree with Ella.

“One hell of a party is planned I see.” Gunner gave her a beautiful smile resulting in a fluttering of eyelashes. It seemed he had a similar effect on the pensioners of Silver Peaks as he did the younger generation of women.

“Want to come?” she asked, patting the back of her hair.

Gunner snickered and shook his head. “I’m going to be busy with my girl, sorry, Peggy.”

Peggy’s eyes went wide as she looked down at our hands. “When did this happen? Lily didn’t mention it.”

Lily probably hadn’t because she knew her grandma would tell anyone who would listen to her. Well now the cat was out of the bag so the whole town would soon know.

“It’s quite new,” Gunner told her, doing some fancy armography so that his arm was wrapped around me while still holding my hand.

He pulled me close so that he could rest his chin on the top of my head.

“But it’s going well so far.” He tickled my side.

“A lot of horse riding, isn’t that right, sweetheart? ”

Biting my bottom lip, I nodded and gave him a sneaky elbow to the stomach. He gave a quiet ‘oof’ and held me tighter.

“I’m pleased for you both,” Peggy offered. “Down to one available Miller brother, then. Disappointing.”

I felt Gunner’s chest shake behind me as we both looked at Peggy’s disappointed face.

“Sorry about that, Peggy,” I told her.

She shrugged. “That’s life. Now I need to get home and get ready for tonight.”

“Let me help you.” Gunner let me go and reached out for Peggy’s bag of booze. “Where are you parked?”

“Just outside Missy May’s.”

“Oh great, we’re going that way.” Gunner wrapped an arm around the bag while he held his other one out for Peggy to link.

I practically swooned as the old lady looked up at him with wonder in her eyes. If that wasn’t bad enough he went and patted her hand resting on his arm and then winked at her.

I was pretty sure it wasn’t just me who was halfway in love with him.
