Chapter 12 The Elevator Proposal
When I saw Chen Yanzhou at the company, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.
A colleague beside me suppressed the excitement in her voice.
"This is our new boss. He bought our company just the day before yesterday. I heard his family is especially rich and he's still single. You tell me... tsk tsk tsk."
I was distracted the entire day.
Fortunately, Chen Yanzhou did not make any excessive moves.
Until I entered the elevator after getting off work in the evening.
The elevator doors opened, and only one person stood inside.
He was dressed in a suit, handsome and tall.
Chen Yanzhou silently looked at me.
It would have been too obvious to step back out at that point.

"Tang Ning, what exactly do you want?"
My hand froze. "...What?"

"I know I wasn't good enough to you before. In the future, I will consider your feelings. I will not contact Feng Linlin anymore, and I will keep my distance from other members of the opposite sex. I will care more about you and take care of you. I will fix all the things I did wrong—"
He suddenly pulled out a ring from his pocket and knelt on one knee.
His expression was extremely solemn.
"Tang Ning, whatever you want, I can give it to you.
We will get married."
I was truly dumbfounded this time. "Are you crazy?!"

"Why?" I did not understand.
Chen Yanzhou tried to slip the ring onto my finger.
"Tang Ning, we have been together for so long. We are very compatible with each other. It would be too much of a pity to give up this relationship so easily."
In Chen Yanzhou's gradually cooling face, I slowly pulled my hand back.
"Chen Yanzhou, when I liked you, I wanted everything.
But now I don't like you anymore. No matter what you give me, I don't want it."
The elevator doors opened.
I had never imagined that these words would come from my mouth.
"Let's part on good terms."
