Chapter 18 Lexi
EIGHTEEN
LEXI
“Shit! Dean!”
He growled as his knees perched on the edge of the couch. “Come here, sexy.”
Pain and pleasure coursed throughout my body as he fucked me so hard that the couch moved with our efforts. With my hands pinned and his knees blocking my legs from closing, all I could do was buck ravenously against him. I met him, thrust for thrust, as my body soared into the heavens.
And as that coil tightened behind my gut, I found myself chanting things I never thought I’d ever hear myself say.
“I’m yours,” I said breathlessly. “Yours forever. Oh, Dean. Don’t ever leave me again. I love you. I love you. I’ll never leave you; I swear it. I’m yours. All yours. Forever.”
“Jesus… fuck,” he hissed, “I’ll never let you down again. I’ll never leave. You have my word.”
I somehow found the strength to sit up and I crashed my lips against his.
He gathered me into his arms, laying me down on the couch as his body cloaked my own.
I wrapped my legs around his waist. He pinned my hands above my head, opening my entire body for me.
And as we rocked in tandem with one another, I saw bits and pieces of my future with him flash before my very eyes.
I saw him and Natasha having water balloon fights outside.
I saw him and I waking up to one another every morning before she dove into our bed.
I saw us having family dinners and going out to firework demonstrations every 4th of July.
I even saw myself in a white dress with Natasha escorting me down the aisle at our wedding.
And I wanted every single bit of it.
“Yes, Dean. I’m so close. Oh, fuck. Just a bit longer…”
He dipped his lips down and sucked on my lower lip. “Come for me, Lexi. Come for me and pull me over the edge with you.”
That’s when my back arched so deeply that I thought it might break. “Dean! Yes! I’m coming!”
His grunts and groans turned to guttural sounds I couldn't describe as his hips finally stilled.
His cock pulsed against my walls before he poured into me, filling me to the brim before my pussy pushed out his excess.
Our intermingled juices dripped down my ass crack.
I collapsed against the couch as he came with me, his body blanketing mine away from the rest of the world.
And as I laid there, trying to catch my breath, I felt something I hadn’t felt since Dean’s disappearance.
I felt hopeful for our future.
“Would you like to meet Natasha?” I asked.
He paused. “You mean, you introduce me to her as her father?”
I nodded. “Yeah. Would you like something like that?”
He snickered. “Like it? I’d love it. But, do you think it’s the right time?”
“I’d be lying if I said that Natty wasn’t getting to an age where she’s getting curious now. I’d have some explaining to do, since she thinks you’re dead, but--.”
He sat up and gazed into my eyes with his dick still sheathed within me. “She thinks I’m dead?”
“I thought you were dead, too, remember?”
He sighed heavily. “Yeah. Right.”
I moved so that his dick slid from between my legs, and I sat up. The two of us stood and got our clothes back into the positions they needed to be, then I pushed him back down onto the couch. He chuckled as he bounced along the cushions before I perched myself in his lap.
And as I gazed into his eyes, I tried to be as honest with him as I could.
“When Natty first started asking questions about you, it was more along the lines of why she didn’t have a father when everyone else did.
And I told her what I knew: that you were a war hero that died for your country.
That you’d always be with her, looking down upon her and cheering her on.
Supporting her. Protecting her, in your own way.
She idolizes you, but she does think you’re dead because at the time, that’s exactly that I thought. ”
“Do you think she’ll react negatively to me being introduced as her father?”
I cupped his cheek. “I think that it’ll take some time for it to sink in. But, once she wraps her head around things like I had a chance to, all she’ll want is to spend every waking moment with you until she learns everything there is to know.”
When he smiled, it lit up my entire world. “Well, as long as you think it’s all right, I’d love to meet Natty.”
“It is. I promise. It’s time she knows the truth just like I do.”
And after he pulled me in for one last kiss, his face settled into one of seriousness.
Which ripped me right back into the panicked reality I had found myself in.
“So, as far as the warehouse goes, I know it’s where you three are going to be safest. That way, I can keep an eye on you guys while you have the protection of the entire crew. That’s where I instructed West to take Chloe and Natty, so they should be there by the time we roll up.”
For the smallest of moments, I had completely forgotten about the issue at hand. About the cartel, and why we packed shit up in the first place. My muscles stiffened as I closed my eyes, but to say I was nervous was an understatement.
“And you’re sure we’ll be safe there?” I asked.
“Lexi, look at me.”
My gaze found him. “Yeah?”
He took my hands in his and threaded our fingers together. “Even with everything I know now, I still believe that you guys living in the warehouse for a spell is the safest option.”
“I don’t know what to do about Natty’s schooling. If she misses so many days, she’ll be held back.”
“Well, you said that they were trying to push her up a couple of grades, right?”
My face fell flat. “That can’t be an excuse for her to miss so much school.”
He pulled me close against him. “We’ll figure something out. Notch used to be a paramedic, so maybe we can get him to write some sort of pseudo doctor’s note that excuses her, or at least provides a reason as to why she needs to homeschool for a little while.”
I shook my head. “I don’t feel good about lying like that.”
“There won’t be anything to lie about if I can’t keep you guys safe. So, let’s focus on that and then I’ll help in whatever way I can with the fallout. Deal?”
I sighed as I nodded softly. “Deal. But, is a place full of big ol’ biker men really safe for a girl who’s almost seven?”
He chuckled. “It’s not just the guys that are there.
They’ve got all of their ladies locked up with them, too.
Some of them even have kids around her age.
There’s a little girl who’s eight, I believe—or she might be seven—named Keva.
Stone, our President? His wife, Hayley, is expecting.
She’s got to be at least seven months pregnant at this point.
I promise you; you guys will be just fine at the warehouse. ”
“So, there are other women there, too?”
He grinned. “Oh, yeah. I promise, you three won’t be the only women, nor will Natty be the only child.”
Relief started to fill my chest a bit. “Okay, that makes me feel a bit better.”
He picked me up as he stood from the couch, then placed me on my feet. “As much as I’d like to keep you here all to myself, though, we need to get going. The longer we sit around, the more of a target we become.”
“And you swear on your life we’ll be safe there?”
He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me close.
“On my life, Lexi, I swear you’ll be safe.
Just keep reminding yourself that this isn’t permanent.
This is just until I know you guys are safe going back home.
That’s it. It might take a handful of days, or a couple of weeks.
But, once I know for absolute certainty that you guys are safe going back to your apartments, you’ll be done at the warehouse. Okay?”
I shook my head. “I’m sorry, my anxiety gets the best of me sometimes.”
He smirked. “It’s a situation to be anxious about, but I’ll do everything within my power to reassure you that things are okay. All right?”
I laid my head on his chest. “Thank you so much. Seriously.”
His phone started ringing and I figured it was someone from the club asking where the hell we were.
So, I started gathering my things while Dean stepped off to the side.
I gathered up the few things that had spilled out of my dress pockets, like my Chapstick and my cell phone.
And when I turned around, I expected Dean to tell me to head to his bike.
But instead, I was met with a face that meant business.
“Uh oh. What’s wrong?” I asked.
He shoved his phone back into his pocket. “That was Stone. We’ve got serious club business to attend to, so I’ll have to get you to the warehouse and drop you off.”
“Drop me off? Where are you going?”
He held out his hand. “That’s where the flow of information stops. I can talk to you about it after the fact, but for your safety I can’t talk to you about it while it’s in the works.”
I took his hand. “Can you at least give me an overview?”
He shook his head as he guided me to the front door. “No, I can’t. I would if I could, but you’re just going to have to be okay with being filled in after everything is done. Now, come on, we’ve spent enough time here. We have to get to safety.”
“Do you think you’ll be back in time for dinner?”
He unlocked his door and ripped it open. “Possibly. Why?”
I walked outside with him. “I don’t know. I just thought that you and me and Natasha and Chloe could have, like, a family dinner or something tonight.”
He locked his front door and turned around with a cheerful light in his eyes despite the scowl on his face. “I’ll make it back as quickly as I possibly can, then.”
And as we headed toward his bike, I felt a new age dawning in my life.
Hell, in all of our lives. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d be able to give Natty the kind of whole and complete family she wanted out of her life.
Chloe knew as well as I did that, I’d never had any passion to date after what happened with Dean.
I was perfectly content living my life, raising my daughter, and hanging out with Chloe rather than going out there and dating the fuckton of guys that simply wanted to smash and run.
But, as I wrapped my arms around Dean’s waist with his bike helmet sitting on my head, only one thought crossed my mind.
We’re really going to be a family.
And I couldn't wait to tell Natty the good news that night over dinner.
