Chapter Twenty-Three #2
“Ok well you guys obviously have a lot to discuss and I want you at the academy as quick as possible, you’re going to love it. So we are going to take off, we need to get back anyway.” Erin grins as she stands and I give her a tight hug. “Text me when you know what’s happening?”
“Absolutely, see you soon.” I grin, “Bye guys!” I wave as they all file out of the front door.
I’m sad to see them go, which is odd because we’ve only just met, and I shouldn’t feel this sad about them leaving. I’ve sort of just concluded that there are bigger things out there that seem to have a plan for me though, so I’m just going to accept and be happy for it.
Once they’ve gone, I walk back over to the guys and plop myself between Kai and Jax.
They instantly shift closer, Kai turns and moves so his head is cushioned in my lap and my hands immediately find their way into his hair, and Jax throws his arm around me as I drop my head onto his shoulder and he rests his cheek on the top of my head.
“I should be able to get my G.E.D done within a week. I was pretty close to being able to take it anyway. I just need a couple of days to decompress then get my study on.” I chuckle.
“That’s excellent, Ladybug. I’ll call the school and make sure your dorm is prepared for you, you’ll all be sharing one; because of your Soulmate Bond it will be uncomfortable for you to be separated, but don’t worry it won’t make you stand out, most teams share a dorm.
Erin and her team do. It is unusual for an already formed team to start at the academy but not unheard of.
The rooms aren’t like traditional dorms you’ll have your own rooms and a communal living space. ”
Sounds pretty fucking awesome, I squash the butterflies in my stomach that start swarming at the thought of us sharing space that closely, I wonder if Jax and Kai are up for a repeat of the bathroom on the plane but more?
I shoot a subtle glance at them both, only to see their gazes already locked on me in a heated stare. I squirm, an ache building between my thighs from their looks alone.
Fuck, this is going to be the best kind of torture.
“Before we can register you for classes we need to know what species you’re all going to be so you’ll need to have the Soulmate ceremony but first you’ll have to get your powers unbound.
We should be able to do it all at the same time.
Although, I am slightly worried about the backlash from your powers being bound for so long, so we really need to get it done as soon as possible. ”
“We could always put a protection circle around them, just in case something goes awry that way everything will be contained to the circle?” Willow suggests worriedly.
I share a worried glance with my guys, this is pretty fucking scary.
“I’m sure it won’t, but it’s probably better to be safe than sorry, I’ll get on it, Erin and her team can bear witness to the ceremony since you are already close with them.” Thomas says.
We all just nod, at this point. I’m a mix of bubbling excitement and rolling fear. What if my powers explode out of me and destroy things or worse, people? Fuck what if it hurts the guys or Erin and her guys?
“Everything will be ok Darling, don’t worry we’ve got you.” Levi suddenly says, leaning forward making my eyes catch on his. I take a deep breath and nod, smiling gratefully.
“We’ll do it the first day you arrive, I’ll make sure the priestess is available since she’s the only person with the blessing from the goddess to do so.” Joey murmurs.
“Whoa hold up goddess?” I stutter.
“Yes, we follow the goddess, Nyx. She gave us the Soulmate bonds and our extra gifts, and she guides us in our mission to help patrol the supernaturals and keep the humans safe.”
“Huh.” I say descriptively.
For some reason, the goddesses name resonates with something inside.
It doesn’t escape my notice that when I changed my name at the fight ring from Rebel, that I changed it to Nyx, that’s just too much of a coincidence and the thought is just too damn weird for me deal with right now, so I brush it aside.
“You’ll all be in the same combat, strategy and protocol classes as you need to learn how to work properly as a team. Sage will have separate classes to train her powers, there are only ten other centres in the whole school though so the class will be small.”
“I thought they hadn’t been seen in years?” Hunter questions leaning forward.
“We train the only ones known to the world. We are a dying species, if there are any others then they have been forced into hiding and won’t be coming out any time soon.” Willow says sadly.
“It will be good to talk to someone who knows what we are going through.” I muse quietly.
“They may have Soulmate bonds like you do but their situation is different to yours.” Thomas says gently.
“In what way?” Maverick asks.
“Well, for a start, Sage is uniquely strong since she is the only child to come from a Soulmate bonded group, add in to that, that the most Bond mates a centre has traditionally is three which is rare and you have five. You also have Knot which none of them have.”
“Well that’s par for the fucking course; a freak amongst freaks.” I grumble slightly bitter.
“You are special, Sweet not a freak.” Willow says firmly, I smile softly in response, but my gut is still churning with anxiety, damn it.
“Your mom is right Sage,” Joey says softly before continuing, “the guys will also have their own separate classes to help them learn and control whatever supernatural creature they will become. The academy also trains all manner of supernatural creatures and a few humans that have not only seen the worst of the supernatural world in some way, but seem just slightly more than a simple human, although they have no identifying traits to say they are even a weak version of any particular supernatural species. Erin and her team are such humans.”
“Don’t worry, you’ll learn all about them at the academy.
You’ll have two weeks of basic training and information and then you will be sent on a mission, the first few are always surveillance only and should never end like Erin’s did.
I’m starting to think that you were meant to cross paths this way. ”
“You are all adults as is everyone at the academy and we expect you to act as such.” Thomas warns strictly.
I’m getting the vague sense that everything isn’t as sunshine and roses as he is trying to make it out to be. I guess we’re going to find out when we get there. I feel a knock on my mind and panic until I realise it must be one of the guys, I open up my mind.
“Anyone else think there’s more happening at this academy than he’s telling us?” Hunter asks in my mind and I hear a few resounding yes’s reply.
“Absolutely, we need to stay on guard when we get there. I don’t think he would send us somewhere unsafe but if he’s in denial about the situation or even just unaware of the extent of the problem, then we just need to make sure we stay vigilant.” I tell them.
“Good thinking Little Star, I’m impressed.” Jax compliments and I feel a blush rise to my cheeks and they all chuckle in my mind.
Bastards.
“So, what do you think Sage?” Thomas says.
“Yeah that’s great, we can make it work.” I reply distractedly as a wicked idea occurs to me.
Pay backs a bitch.
I start to vividly picture one of my reoccurring fantasy’s, the one where all six of us are naked.
Jax underneath me as I ride him, his hands gripping my hips, Kai thrusting into me from behind, the feel of both of them filling me.
My head turns to the side as I take Levi into my mouth, my hand gripping hold of Mav’s cock and running up and down as Hunter palms my boobs in his big hands, before we switch positions and I’m underneath them.
I send the image through our mental link.
“Holy fucking shit!” Kai chokes out suddenly from my lap, as Maverick jumps in the air and a sexy as fuck growl comes from Levi. Hunter stares at me heatedly and Jax buries his head in my neck, his breathing harsh.
“Are you alright Kai?” Willow, bless her, asks concerned.
“Erm yeah I’m fine sorry.”
“Do you want to stay for dinner?” Thomas asks.
“Yes please.” I smile innocently.
As soon as they leave the room the guys all turn to stare at me.
“What the fuck was that?” Kai asks, on a groan.
“What this?” I smirk as I send him an image of his head buried between my thighs.
He shoots up to a sitting position and takes my mouth in a searing kiss the sparks roaring to life as Jax starts kissing up my neck at the same time. Hands land on my legs and they automatically open causing several of my men to groan in need.
“Everything ok in there?” Willow calls from the kitchen.
“Fuck!” Kai curses, as he pulls back and rests his forehead on mine.
“I second that brother.” Levi groans before turning my face to meet his, in a clit throbbing kiss. Trust me that’s a thing. I moan and the guys echo the sound quietly.
“Okay I’ll be the voice of reason, as much I’d love to enact Sage’s fantasy, we can’t right now, we’re at her parents’ house and they are in the next room.” Hunter says.
“Uggh, fine.” I grumble making the guys chuckle and breaking the tension in the room. “Soon though.” I promise and their eyes heat again.
“Are you really going to be able to get your G.E.D in a week?” Hunter asks trying to change the topic back to safer subjects.
“Abso-fucking-lutely, I’m going to need snacks though. I’ve got a week to get this done and then get your supernatural sides unleashed.” I shoot a heated glance to Levi and he winks at me.
I’ve got this.
I’ve got my men and I’ve got Erin and her guys; we’ll get all our gifts unlocked and kickass at this academy whilst trying to figure out what’s really going on there, if anything.
I smile happily as I look around the room at my guys, feeling content and at peace despite the last few days. They’re my home no matter where we go or what’s happening, I know that we will always have each other’s backs.
The academy’s not going to know what hit them.
