Chapter 46 My Beautiful Monkey

"Sluggishly scoot your leg!" Aaryaant softly said balancing her whole weight on himself and helping her walk.

It's been a month since her injury and as prescribed by the doctor, Aaryaant is trying to make her walk. Aadhya's condition is worsening by each passing day. Everyone is afraid of loosing her. This past month they tried to spend as much as time they could.

Vani once tried to make Vanya sit on the wheelchair but she distraught denied her saying she never want to be a burden and if she concur, someone have to be around her everywhen. Although Aaryaant is always around her but she doesn't want anyone to get disturbed because of her. She felt blue feeling to sit on the wheelchair the whole time. She doesn't want anyone to pity her and so she deadly denied.

"Woohooo!" She rejoiced as she completed ten steps walking on her feet. Walking after almost a month, she felt like flying high in the sky.

Aaryaant chuckled at her enthusiasm and relaxed her on the bed.

"When are we going to meet mumma?" She mumbled.

"Right after the lunch!" He softly answered her gazing at her. His eyes turned glossy with the fact that he may lose his mother any moment and he can't do anything. Ever since he got to know about her disease, he blamed himself for not taking care of her. He felt guilty about everything.

She stretched her arm to comfort him. He sat infront of her on the bed. She slowly scooted closer to him cupping his face.

"It's not your fault aarya!" She lovingly comforted him and a tear drop fell from his eyes.

"Not everything's in our hands!" She tried to make him understand. He nodded with tears streaming down his eyes uncontrollable.

"You did everything you can!" She embraced him. He rested his head on her chest sobbing.

"It's not that you did nothing! You did every possible thing to get her fine. But there's something we cannot deny and that is fate. We need to accept the fate and embrace the left over time with her.!" She made him understand.

"SO. STOP. BLAMING. YOURSELF!" She pressurized and he nodded looking up at her. Her every word had a great affect on him. For him, she's never wrong!

"You look like an ape when crying!" She joked in the same flow of tone kissing his nose.

"And you look like a monkey everytime!" He chimmed in her tone.

"Hey.. I'm beautiful!" She defends.

"Indeed you're beautiful....my beautiful monkey!" He teased. She hit his face with a pillow. And their banter goes on and on.

After lunch, everyone departs to their rooms to get ready as they're leaving to meet their parents. After vanya's incident, as the brothers insisted, the sisters shifted in Dandwani Mansion till she gets completely fine because in no way Aaryaant would leave her alone And true to his words, he didn't leave her for a second.

"How's you doing?" Aaryaant asked, entering aadhya's room.

"Oh my kids are here!" Aadhya weakly beamed.

"Yes mumma we're here!" Vanya chimmed with the same enthusiasm as aadhya's. Vanya was in Aaryaant's arms. She gestured him to take her to aadhya. He stood beside aadhya with her in arms and bend to her level. Vanya pecked her cheek and smiled at her.

"You know I was pacifying your dad before you guys came!" Aadhya said.

"About what Ma?" Avi asked.

"To go and live in the mountains and enjoy the Beauty of snow once I'm gone!" Aadhya chuckled.

"We always wanted to enjoy our whole life there after settling our kids! And now that our kids are well grown up and successful in their own lives, he can go and enjoy.!" She furthermore said.

"I have a call to attend!" Ariv hurriedly said and tried to leave but stumbled as if he couldn't bear the heaviness of the situation.

Aaryaant caught him before he could touch the ground. He made him stand and Ariv left without glancing at his elder brother. As he knows, if he will look into his eyes, it will take him no time to understand his turmoil. But Aaryaant being the elder brother, caught his emotions in a span of seconds. Before he could say anything, Ariv left the room.

Vartika blinked her eyes at concerned Aaryaant before going behind Ariv. She went outside and saw him standing at rally rubbing his chest as he couldn't breathe. She turned him and tightly embraced him rubbing his back trying to calm him. It took him no seconds to tightly hug her back. Snuggling in her neck, he took deep and slow breathes.

"I'm here...I'm here" she chanted in his ears caressing his hair. He nodded trying to calm himself.

"Let's go!" He uttered after a while and they went to aadhya's room.

"After a month dad will shift to Shimla and it's final!" Aaryaant declared while others nodded.

"Fine my stubborn woman!" Kairav accepted fake glaring at aadhya. She toothy smiled at him. Melting his heart in seconds. He knows it's going to be difficult as any other thing in the world for him to live without her.

"Okay it's going to be late till we reach the mansion, so I think we should leave!" Avi said calculating the time on his wrist watch. Others nodded and they left biding them goodbyes.

They reached home on dinner time and directly head towards their room to freshen up. After half an hour everyone was present on the dining table except vartika.

Ariv was about to go check upon her but she emerged from the kitchen with trays in her hand. He straight away took the trays from her hand placing them on the table and gestured her to sit beside him.

"What were you doing in the kitchen?" Ariv coldly asked her.

"Was preparing dinner!" She answered.

"You didn't have to do that.... there're five capable chefs for that!" He said as he thought she might be tired. From nine in the morning to four in the evening, she was continuously working in her office. He directly came to pick her up from the office for their parents house. And now after they came she prepared the dinner.

"I'm not at all tired....so relax and tell me how the food taste?" She assured him and asked.

He opened the lid and looked at her trying to understand how she got to know that he wanted to eat simple indian food. She smiled at him and shrugged giving him a 'I know everything' look. She made his all time favourite food, daal rice with broccoli soup and fried potatoes.

She waited for him to praise her skills but he just smiled without looking at her as a memory flooded over him. And she knew what made him smile which brought a content smile on her lips.

After dinner, everyone decided for a bonfire. They sat around the bonfire on the mattress with the blankets on them. Vanya sat between Aaryaant's legs. Her back resting on his front while he was carelessly playing with her hair. Avi laid his head in vani's lap as she started moving her fingers slowly in his hairs relaxing him. Vartika and Ariv were sitting together but at a safe distance as they're still shy to accept each other infront of their families. Varnika was resting her legs on Aaryan's and his head resting on her shoulder in a friendly manner.

"When are you guys going to get married?" Vani and avi asked in unison.

"Why?" Aaryaant and Vanya back questioned in unison.

"Because they want to get married" Ariv and vartika simultaneously teased them.

"Well we won't deny it but it's high time..you guys should marry!" Vani and avi shrugged.

"Guys I'm sleepy!" Vanya uttered.

"Aarya take me to bed!" She requested him and he without wasting a second, picked her up and left from there wishing them.

"Even I'm knackered! So, I'm leaving too!" Vartika said standing up. She saw Ariv following her to her room.

"We aren't going to disturb the couple!" Saying varnika and Aryan left giving some much needed privacy to vani and avi.

Vartika's room

Vartika lying on her stomach on the soft mattress of her bed trying to design an outfit. Ariv entered and saw her again focused on sketching the designs. He sighed and laid closely beside her with his left hand on her waist and head supported by his right elbow. She glanced at him with a smallest smile on her lips.

"What are you designing?" He asked.

"An outfit for your heroine!" She answered.

"Co-actress!" He corrected.

"Huh?" She pretended to be confused.

"She's my nothing let alone heroine!" He stated.

"Hmm....then who's your heroine?" She played along.

"Don't you know?" He furthermore teased.

"No" she stretched.

"Let me tell you!" He said.

"Hmm!" She concur.

"I met a girl in London two years ago! And the moment my eyes captured her, I knew she was my heroine!" He sincerely expressed it for the first time.

"And what's her name?" She excitedly asked.

"Her name is......" He trailed.

"I forgot!" He yawned said.

"I'm soo sleepy!" He uttered and closed his eyes pretending to sleep resting his forehead on her shoulder.

"How can you forget my name?" She angrily sulked. He ignored her and continued to pretend.

She smiled watching him pretend to sleep and made him comfortable on the bed before switching off the lights and lamps. As she slipped beside him, he caught her waist pulling her to himself caging her in his arms. Snuggling into her neck and collarbone, he slept peacefully in her arms.

Before slipping into his deep sleep, he pecked her lips softly with closed eyes mumbling,
