The truth comes out

Author's pov-

Purv stormed into vaani's apartment, his rage barely contained. He didn't need to knock-he knew she was inside. And he wasn't in the mood for formalities.

Vaani turned at the sight of the door slamming shut, her eyes widened before narrowing. "Well, well," she mused, crossing her arms. "Took you long enough."

Purv's jaw clenched. "You planned all of this."

Vaani smirked. "And?"

His fingers curled into fists. "Why, vaani? Why the hell did you do this?"

Her smirk faded, and for the first time, real anger flushed in her eyes. "Why?" She repeated, her voice rising. "Because you destroyed my fucking like, purv!"

Purv's eyes darkened, but she didn't stop. She stepped closer, her voice shaking with fury.

"I was sent to boarding school for three goddamn years, and two years abroad, away from my family, away from my friends, away from everything I knew.

And why? Because of you." She jabbed a finger into his chest. "Because my father thought I was distraction for you.

Because he thought I was the reason you were 'losing focus' after you broke that guy's nose. "

Purv's expression remained cold, but his silence only fueled her anger.

"Do you know how it felt, purv?" She spat. "Being thrown away like I never mattered? And even after everything, I still cared about you. I still tried to look after you from a distance."

She let out a bitter laugh. "But then she came into the picture. Divya. Suddenly, you were fine. Happy, even. Laughing, joking- like nothing had ever happened. Like I never happened.

Purv exhaled sharply, his patience hanging by a thread.

"So, yeah," vaani continued, her voice dripping with venom. "I decided if my life was ruined, I'd ruin yours too. And Divya? She was just collateral damage."

Purv's control snapped.

His hand shot out, gripping her chin firmly, forcing her to meet his furious gaze. "You want to destroy me, vaani?" He growled, his voice dangerously low. "You have no idea what real destruction looks like."

She tried to yank herself free, but his grip was unrelenting.

"I'm giving you one chance," he continued, his voice laced with warning. "Pack your bags. Take rehan. And get the fuck out of dehli in the next twenty-four hours."

Vaani's eyes widened. "You can't-"

"I will," purv's voice was like ice. "And if you're still here after that?" His grip tightened just enough to make her breath hitch. "I'll make sure your whole fucking family pays for what you did."

Fear flickered in her eyes. She knew him. She knew he wasn't bluffing.

He let her go with a shove, his gaze burning into her. "This is your only warning."

Vaani stumbled back, her heart pounding. For the first time, she realised-she had pushed purv too far.

And now, she was going to pay the price.
