He Wanted Coffee, She Wanted Sweet Revenge

It's 9:30 pm..The front door of the mansion is already opened..

Everyone sitting at the dining table instinctively turned toward the entrance.

And there stood Meera. Her Holi colors had dried hours ago, but they were still visible everywhere.

Even her hair still carried traces of the festival.

For a moment, complete silence filled the dining hall. She about to went her room.

Then suddenly..

"Oh my God!What happened to her!!" Riddhita gasped dramatically, her eyes widening .

Everyone immediately looked at her.

"What happened, Riddhu? What are you talking about.." Vishwanath asked, looking confused by his daughter's reaction.

Riddhita pointed straight at Meera.

"She looks like a walking rainbow , dad!" she declared with absolute seriousness before bursting into laughter.

The entire table immediately laughed.

Even Janvi struggled to hide her smile.

Meera looked offended.

"Hey Meera!! What happened to you!!" she asked in surprise, putting down her spoon and looking at the colorful girl standing near the entrance.

Meera immediately stopped her place.

"Meera, what did you do to yourself? And where were you this late? Don't you know it's not safe walking alone on the road? " she asked softly, carefully looking at the colorful stains covering the girl from head to toe.

Meera's expression softened immediately. For a brief second, she glanced toward Aarav.

He sat comfortably in his chair.

Eating peacefully. Not even looking at her. As if she wasn't standing there.

That immediately annoyed her.

Still, she forced herself to stay calm.

" I was not alone . I was with my friends , Ma'am." she replied politely, though exhaustion was visible in her voice.

A small smile appeared on her face as memories of the day returned.

"We played Holi together. Then we went to Krishna Temple. After that we walked around for a while and talked."she said.

Janvi listened carefully. Then her face softened.

"Oh . Then it's okay.." she murmured quietly.

A warm smile appeared on her lips.

"Did you enjoy yourself with them?" she asked gently, genuinely wanting to know the answer.

Meera nodded immediately.

"Very much, Ma'am. I really enjoyed it. It was the first time in a long time that I felt relaxed."she admitted honestly, her eyes brightening slightly.

Janvi's heart instantly softened.

"Good. It's nice to hear ." she said warmly.

"Thank you, Ma'am. " she whispered sincerely.

Vishwanath smiled from his chair.

"You should go out more often, Meera. I know it's hard for you as you don't have your parents now. But at this age you also should enjoy it." he said kindly, noticing how happy she looked after spending time with her friends.

Meera looked surprised.

"Thank you, Sir .. for your kind words." she said.

"You're young. Study, work, and enjoy life. Don't become serious like my son Aarav. Who always just has a career and career!!" Vishwanath replied with a laugh.

Immediately everyone's eyes moved toward Aarav. Aarav slowly raised one eyebrow.

"What did I do now, dad!! I am just making your business more successful..and should your son do then?" he asked dryly, sounding genuinely offended.

Riddhita pointed dramatically at him.

"No you exist.. not enjoying like me.." she replied without hesitation.

The entire table burst into laughter.

Janvi laughed.Vishwanath laughed.

Even Meera couldn't stop herself from smiling.

Aarav looked completely unimpressed.

"I regret sitting at this table, guys.." he muttered, shaking his head.

"No, you don't," Janvi replied immediately, still smiling.

" And you stupid girl .. don't give my knowledge which you don't have ..just do your study properly..if not then believe me even your dad can't protect you this time from me , Riddhu!!" Aarav argued.

More laughter filled the dinner room. But Riddhita got annoyed hearing it.

For a brief moment...Everything felt normal.

Then Janvi looked back at Meera.

"Go take a shower and get some rest and. You don't need to work anymore today. You already worked hard enough this morning. " she said gently, noticing how exhausted the girl looked.

Relief immediately appeared on Meera's face. The thought of a warm shower sounded heavenly.

"Okay, Ma'am. Thank you for that." Meera replied gratefully, her shoulders visibly relaxing.

She turned toward the staircase.

Ready to finally rest.

But..her destiny didn't want it..

"Hey, Meera, stop. Sorry but you have to do work for me.."

The familiar voice stopped her immediately.

Meera froze.Her eyes slowly closed.

Slowly she turned around.

Aarav was looking at her now.

His expression calm. The dangerous kind of calm.

"After my dinner, bring my coffee to my room. " he said casually, as if making the most normal request in the world.

The dining hall immediately became silent.Meera stared at him.

Seriously? Why always her??

Aarav continued.

"And I hope you don't make mistakes like last time. " he added smoothly, clearly trying to annoy her.

Meera immediately became irritated.

Janvi frowned.

"Aarav.. what is this.." she warned.

He looked at her.

"Yes, mom?" he asked innocently.

"Another maid can bring your coffee. Just let her go now..she needs rest.." Janvi said.

"No, mom. If anyone brings coffee for me it's her only."Aarav shook his head.

"Why?"Janvi became irritated by this..

"Because I asked Meera.. and she will do what i will say. And don't she be here for that.." he replied simply, refusing to look away.

"So she will bring it after my dinner.."Aarav calmly took another bite of food.

The entire dining table fell silent again.Even the servants standing nearby exchanged nervous glances.

Riddhita's eyes widened.Vishwanath slowly lowered his spoon.Janvi stared at her son in disbelief.

"Aarav, you need to understand..she looks exhausted. And she is also human like us.." Janvi said firmly, her brows knitting together as she glanced at Meera's tired face.

Aarav didn't even look toward Meera.

"I know.. and it doesn't change anything for me, mom" he replied simply, taking another bite of food as if the conversation meant nothing to him.

Janvi's frustration immediately grew.

"Then leave her alone. Take her rest beta. Another maid will bring it for you." she said.

Aarav finally looked up.His eyes met his mother's.

"I said what I wanted. And you know me very well . If i want i will take it any way." he replied coldly, refusing to back down.

The room instantly became uncomfortable.Even Riddhita shifted nervously in her chair.

Then Aarav added..

"And she will bring it later. That's finished. It's not like i give her time to clean herself."His tone left no room for discussion.

Janvi looked completely shocked.

Vishwanath frowned deeply.

"It's okay, Bhai. I'll make it for you. Then another doesn't need to do for you." she offered with a hopeful smile, trying to ease the growing tension.

Aarav turned toward her.His expression hardened immediately.

"No. You don't need to do that."

The single word was enough to make Riddhita blink.

"Bhai... But why? It's not another maid..i will make it for you..you sister.." she tried again softly.

"No."

This time his voice was firmer.

Sharper.

Riddhita's smile disappeared. She looked genuinely confused.

"I was just helping you" she said quietly.

Aarav slowly put down his fork.

The metallic sound echoed through the silent dining room.Everyone immediately looked at him.

"Listen, Riddhu.Just do your studies. Don't interfere in my matters."

His voice became noticeably colder.

Riddhita immediately became quiet.

Her eyes dropped toward her plate.

For a moment neither parent recognized the son sitting in front of them.

"What happened, beta? Why are you behaving like this?" Vishwanath finally asked, his voice calm .

Aarav didn't answer.

For a few seconds.. Nobody spoke.

Aarav remained silent. As if even he didn't know how to explain himself.

Before things could become worse..

Meera stepped forward.

"It's okay, Sir.I'll bring it. It's just coffee. It's not that big of a deal for me." Her voice was gentle but firm.

Immediately everyone's attention shifted toward her.

A small smile appeared on her face.

Though it looked forced.

She tried to make the situation sound simple. Janvi looked at her sadly.

Meera then turned toward Aarav.

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"Sir, if you don't have any problem, I'll take a shower first and then make your coffee. It's just that I need to clean myself as you are seeing me .. you understand that well."she said.

Aarav stared at her for a second.

"Fine."Then nodded once.

"And make sure I actually like it. And make it that way i like in the past..."Then he added deliberately.

Meera's eyebrow twitched.

Aarav wasn't finished.

"And don't do anything stupid like last time..."he said.

A sweet smile appeared on Meera's face. The kind of smile that always meant trouble.

"Of course, Sir. You don't need to worry about that." she replied politely.

Meera turned around and started walking toward the staircase.

The moment she disappeared a few steps upward-

Meanwhile Aarav continued eating.

Pretending not to care. Pretending not to watch her leave.

But the moment Meera disappeared from sight..His eyes unconsciously followed the empty staircase.

Meera's Room : ??????

________________________

Meera finally reached her room.

The moment she stepped inside, she let out a long exhausted sigh.

Today's events felt like they had lasted an entire week.

The Holi celebration. The temple visit.

The met with Veer and Ruchika.

The argument at dinner.

And of course...

Her stupid Aarav.

Just thinking about him irritated her again.

"That impossible man..." she muttered under her breath angrily, throwing her dupatta onto the chair.

"The whole world was telling him to let me rest, but no. The Great Mr. Aarav Oberoi always gets what he wants."She mimicked his voice dramatically.

"Bring my coffee, Meera.Make sure I like it, Meera."

Meera rolled her eyes. She folded her arms.

"Don't do anything stupid, Meera."

Then she pointed at her own reflection in the mirror.

A second later she shook her head.

"No. Then Janvi Ma'am will be disappointed. And i like too much Janvi to hurt her stupid and idiot son!!"

She sighed dramatically.

"Unfortunately, I have morals."

A few minutes later..she went to the bathroom and closed lock the door and then she removed all her clothes..and start washing her body..

She saw herself in mirror and the colour still don't go away properly..

" Stupid colour..why it's not go away..Just like aarav.. I want him away from me ..but still i get close to him.." she said beame irrigated..while washing harder on her skin..her skin became red.

After washing away most of the Holi colors, she stepped out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel around her body while drying her wet hair another towel.

The cool air immediately touched her skin. For the first time all day, she felt relaxed.

And she loved it.She sat on the edge of her bed for a moment. Still wearing a towel..

"Maybe I should pretend I forgot the coffee."She thought about it seriously.

Then immediately shook her head.

"No. That man will probably send an entire search team after me."

The image made her laugh. After dried her hair by towel. She got up and turned around. Her back was facing the door. She about to remove her towel from her body..to wear regular clothes.

Just then..

Tap.A faint sound came from outside.

Meera froze.Her smile disappeared.

She slowly looked toward the door. And wear her towel again.

"Hello?" she called cautiously,

No answer.The silence felt strange.

She waited.Nothing.After a few seconds she carefully walked toward the door..

Her heartbeat sped up slightly.

She opened it.

The hallway was empty.

"Great. After spending half of my life here now this mansion is giving me horror movie vibes."Meera frowned.

She looked left.Then right.

Still nothing. After a moment she sighed.

"I'm tired. That's why I am hearing stupid noises. "

Closing the door properly, she returned inside.

A little later, she stood in front of the mirror and examined the remaining Holi colors.

A faint yellow stain still remained on one cheek.

"No matter how much I scrub, this color refuses to leave."She smiled softly.

Immediately memories returned.

Veer running for his life.Ruchika screaming dramatically. The temple.Their promise of forever friendship.

For a moment she forgot all her worries. Then she remembered Aarav's coffee.

Her smile vanished immediately.

"Oh no. I totally forget it. " She said.

"The coffee. I need to go now..if i will be late then don't know what will that idiot do with me now."She stared at her reflection.

A look of pure suffering appeared on her face.

"Why did I remind myself? Anyway..i need to change fast now." She said.

The Meera remove her towel and wear her regular clothes..Now only silence remained.

In The Kitchen: ??????

________________________

The distant hum of the refrigerator.

And Rani arranged utensils near the counter.

The moment Meera entered the kitchen, Rani looked up.One glance at Meera's face was enough.

Rani immediately narrowed her eyes suspiciously.

"Oh no...That face means someone annoyed you again. " she said dramatically. Her expression was full of amusement.

Meera dropped her head onto the counter with a groan.

"Don't start again, Rani..iam already tired and because of this stupid man i need to come here ." she complained tiredly, sounding exhausted after the long day.

Meera immediately answered.

"Aarav. Because of that stupid donkey !!" she muttered darkly, her irritation returning instantly at the mere mention of his name.

Rani sighed.

"Of course it's Aarav. After he came back so many years and why missed a chance annoying you!!" she replied as if there was no other possible answer in the world.

Both girls looked at each other. After a moment, Rani shook her head.

"Seriously, Meera. One day you and Aarav Sir will be the reason this mansion collapses. Don't you also think that?" she asked dramatically while pointing an accusing finger at her friend.

Meera immediately straightened.

"Excuse me? What are you trying to say.." she asked with fake offense

"Yes. You heard me. And you know what i mean my dear friend.." Rani nodded firmly.

"I am innocent. I can never do something like that.." Meera argued and looked completely offended by the accusation.

Rani stared at her. Then she started laughing again.

"Innocent? And you? It's impossible!!" she repeated with disbelief written all over her face.

"YES. Iam , Rani!!" Meera replied stubbornly, refusing to back down.

Rani pointed directly at her.

" Do you remember once you told me in childhood you replaced his phone wallpaper with a donkey last month." she reminded her while trying not to laugh.

Meera immediately defended herself.

"Because he deserved it. He pranked me with those stupid fake spiders. He knows i am afraid of them..but still he did that stupid prank on me" she argued shamelessly, showing absolutely no regret.

Rani doubled over laughing.

"You are impossible." she managed to say between laughs.

"No. Aarav is impossible." Meera corrected immediately.

That only made Rani laugh harder.

Then Meera remembered dinner.

Her smile disappeared. The irritation returned.

"Oh God... I again forget!!" she groaned dramatically, rubbing her forehead.

Rani noticed instantly.

"What happened now?" she asked curiously.

Meera turned toward her.

"He wants me to make his coffee and bring his room." Meera complained, looking deeply betrayed.

Rani blinked.

"That's all?" she asked.

Meera looked offended.

"That's ALL?" she repeated loudly.

"Everyone told him to let me rest.Janvi Ma'am told him other maid will do it but no he wants it from me."

Rani nodded.Meera pointed herself angrily.

"Riddhita offered to make it herself. But that stubborn buffalo still insisted I bring it."Meera said.

Then burst into laughter.

"A buffalo?" Rani repeated.

Both girls laughed again. Then anger in Meera's heart slowly started disappearing.

Then suddenly...

Meera's eyes sparkled mischievously.

A dangerous idea appeared inside her head.

The kind of idea that never ended well. Especially for Aarav. Slowly she looked toward the spice shelf.

Rani followed her gaze.Immediately understood.

"No...Meera..you will get in trouble for that..you know him well then me.." Rani whispered, already interested.

"Yes...i will..and that little don't hurt him just annoying him" Meera whispered back.

"A very little?" Rani asked suspiciously.

"A very, very little." Rani promised dramatically.

The two girls looked at each other.

Then both started smiling.

A few seconds later...

A tiny amount of spice found its way into Aarav's coffee.

Both girls stared at the cup. Then at each other.

"I cannot believe we actually did that." Meera said while wiping tears from laughter.

Rani looked proud.

"This is called justice. You just need to accept it " she declared dramatically.

"No. It's not called justice.. It's is called revenge." Meera corrected Rani proudly.

Both girls Highfield.

Finally...

The coffee was ready.Meera picked up the tray.Rani immediately followed her to the kitchen door.

"Good luck, Meera. And take your revenge!!" she said dramatically.

Meera sighed.

"Thanks." she replied.

Then she began walking through the quiet mansion.

The hallways are almost empty now.

All the family had gone to their rooms.Only a few lights remained on.

Soon...

She stopped in front of Aarav's room.

Taking a deep breath, she knocked politely.

Knock. Knock.

"Sir... it's me. Meera. Can I come in?" she asked respectfully despite still being annoyed.

No answer.

Meera blinked.She waited. But

Nothing.

Her eyebrows twitched. She knocked again. This time louder.

"Aarav Sir... may I come in?" she called out again.Still nothing. The silence irritated her immediately.

"Unbelievable...what this stupid boy is actually doing!!" she muttered under her breath, feeling her patience slowly disappear.

She knocked harder.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

"Aarav Sir!Your coffee is here. I already bring it!!" she called loudly, now sounding visibly frustrated.

Still...No answer. But there were little talking sounds..

Meera slowly closed her eyes.Took a deep breath.

"Aarav Oberoi...If you don't answer in the next five seconds... I will come in .." she whispered dangerously, her voice becoming suspiciously sweet.

Silence. Still Nothing.

Meera opened one eye.Her patience officially died.

"Fine." she muttered angrily.

Taking one final breath...She slowly pushed the door open.

And stepped inside.Still carrying the coffee.
