Chapter 4 #3

For a moment, all I could do was stare back at him, no idea what my expression looked like, as he stared at me in open shock, his eyes wide as they darted over me.

It was the realization that there was the smallest streak of come on his cheek, that he had shot that hard, that finally broke the spell that had taken hold of me.

I muttered a hasty apology and darted back into the bathroom.

I would have preferred to leave the room, but the bathroom was the closest space I could safely retreat to.

Plus, I wasn’t wearing underwear, and my dick was still hard; it would have been obvious to waddle out quickly with that thing swinging around in my pants.

Letting out a huff of air that I hoped wasn’t loud enough to be heard, I flipped on the light and spun around to turn on the water while I heard him muttering curses.

I stared into my wide-eyed reflection, which looked as if I’d just seen either the worst or best thing I’d seen in a long time, and forced myself to take a deep breath and calm down.

That was a lot easier said than done when I had the crystal-clear image of Reggie sprawled on his back, cock in hand as he stroked himself to a messy finish that was definitely going to find its way into my fantasies when I was alone later.

Or…I could take care of two problems at once.

Oh, it was just an added tacky topping on the already creepy sundae, but while middle-aged wasn’t as hormonal as teenager, it was hormonal enough.

I reached into my pants and pulled out my dick, shimmying over to the toilet, and I began stroking myself as furiously as I could without making too much noise.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before Reggie came to the bathroom door to coax me out, or God, came in.

The last thing I needed was for him to open the door and see me jerking off after I had just spied on him doing the same.

The image of him opening the door, face flushed from his orgasm and embarrassment, flashed through my mind.

I wondered what his face would look like if he saw me jerking off in his bathroom after I’d just watched him do the same in his bed.

I wondered what he would say or do when he saw my hand wrapped around my cock, stroking as I remembered the sight of his body as his orgasm ran through him with enough force to splatter all the way up to his face, well, just a bit.

I wondered what his face would look like splattered with my cum.

That was all it took. I felt my body tighten fiercely as my hand stilled.

I had to catch myself on the wall behind the toilet as my orgasm hit, and I once again bit back the urge to make any sort of noise that would give me away.

I angled my dick down, trying to get my load into the bowl but also not so worried about it that I missed the raw feeling of pleasure pulsing through me.

“Uh…Marc?” I heard from outside the door. What I wanted was to hear the same thing, but in a voice that was breathy, maybe demanding, or just filled with pleasure we were both enjoying.

I took a breath as my hands shook slightly, and I looked down to see that I had a bit of cleaning up to do. “One second, I’ll be out soon.”

“Uh…sure,” he said, and I took another breath to steady myself completely as I felt the hum my orgasm left behind.

Cleaning up the evidence, I flushed the toilet and checked myself in the mirror.

For good measure, I splashed cold water on my face, wiping away the last of the haze the orgasm had left and hopefully making my face a little less flushed.

How the next few minutes were going to play out depended on how Reggie acted when I got out.

If he wanted to pretend it hadn’t happened, then I would play along, and if he wanted to talk about it…

well, I suppose I would go along with that too.

Taking another moment to breathe and compose myself, I turned and left the bathroom.

I was met with the smell of coffee filling the air as the coffee machine on the counter bubbled merrily.

It wasn’t one of the resort ones all the rooms had, but that wasn’t surprising.

Reggie wasn’t a big spender, but when he treated himself, he wasn’t shy about dropping money.

That machine cost several hundred dollars, from the looks of it; hell, the attachments were worth a few hundred on their own.

“Let me guess,” I began as I walked out, flipping off the light and closing the bathroom door as I caught sight of him standing near the coffeemaker, looking nervous. “That’s not the coffee we give everyone in their rooms.”

“You know me, only the best,” he said, trying for a smile and nearly succeeding, but it was a small, fragile thing.

“You say as if you weren’t the one who chose the coffee we buy in bulk,” I said with a chuckle as I dropped into one of his chairs. “You were the one who insisted on having a whole setup for coffee in this place.”

“Look, you don’t fuck with coffee,” he said, and this time the smile was real. “It was easy enough to figure out. A rotating stock of coffee from Colorado-based coffee suppliers and cafes, and the standard Folgers or Maxwell House if someone doesn’t like the current ‘special.’ Easy.”

“Yes, easy. And it was cost-prohibitive for a while there.”

“The entire place was cost-prohibitive.”

“That didn’t mean we needed to add a cost that was going to get in the way of crawling out of the red.”

“And once we figured out a better system that helped everyone, it worked out in the end,” he said, finishing an old argument with a new point.

“Cute,” I said.

“What?”

“We.”

“Huh?”

“We figured nothing out. You’re the one who got busy charming people to see if they would work out a deal so long as you kept ordering from them. It probably helped when you even went in person to some of those people,” I added wryly.

“It’s easier to convince people when they can look you in the eye,” he said with a shrug.

“I mean, that might be different once you get to the upper levels of corporations and politicians. I don’t know, that’s your wheelhouse.

But for us common folk, a little face-to-face action usually sweetens the pot. ”

“It helps when you have the personality for that sort of thing,” I said, as I’d mentioned before, but this time added something I’d always kept to myself. “And it also helps when a handsome, blue-eyed man with a big smile shows up and makes you feel special and important.”

His mouth opened and then snapped shut with a frown. “I wasn’t…expecting that.”

I shrugged. “You’re a good-looking man with a bright personality, and you like people. Put all three together and you’ve got the perfect combination for a charming, convincing salesman.”

“Huh,” he said, clicking his tongue before retrieving the first cup of coffee and sliding it over to me.

Only those who knew Reggie well would understand how much sacrifice that took.

Reggie needed his coffee when waking up, and if he didn’t get it as soon as humanly possible, he could become quite…

grumpy; one might even say demonic. Of course, part of that might come from the fact that he was a snarling beast half the time when he first woke, and the only reason I had been spared any unpleasantness was because this wake-up call had been…

unique. “I don’t recall you using charm to get deals in the past, not from what I’ve heard. ”

“Because I’m not a salesman, I’m a businessman,” I said with a chuckle.

“Deals and sales made by me or done through strategic use of information, force of personality, a little coercion or sucking up in the right places…but almost never charm; no charisma needed. You, however, don’t need to worry about all that. ”

“I’m trying to decide if I should feel insulted or complimented,” he said, sucking on his bottom lip.

“I mean, it’s nice to say I could be charming, especially when half the time people treat me like I’m annoying.

I’m not sure how I feel about the fact that part of my charm is that I might just be cute and friendly to some people. ”

I noted the use of ‘some,’ but I couldn’t find the desire to dig deeper to figure out what it meant. “You know that a vast majority of charm is looks and personality, right? And for the record, I never brought it up before because I didn’t want you to think you were just a pretty face.”

“Huh,” he grunted as if something interested him. “So…why tell me now?”

I didn’t know why it made a difference, but apparently watching him jerk off had made all the difference in saying something about that one little detail. Not that I was going to mention that; things were awkward enough as it was without bringing what I’d just seen into the mix.

“I didn’t see the point in keeping it to myself. I suppose your methods and success in brokering a deal haven’t been a subject for a while,” I said with a shrug, knowing it was a weak reason but unable to think of anything else other than the truth. Or at least, what I thought would be the truth.

He huffed, turning to fetch the next cup of steaming coffee. “It’s not like you to bring something up so late in the game. I figured if you were keeping something to yourself, you would take it to your grave; otherwise you would have brought it up a lot sooner.”

“There are some things I keep to myself,” I agreed because I wasn’t going to pretend this man didn’t have a very good measure of my character, not just because he was damn good at reading people, but because he was my closest friend and had been for years.

“But just because I kept something to myself longer than necessary doesn’t mean there’s some time limit where if I don’t say something, it gets thrown in the vault forever. ”

“Just…kinda felt out of the blue character-wise,” he said with a shrug, clearly bothered by the idea but could not figure out what was bothering him exactly, or unwilling to say it.
