The Beginning And End Of Everything
"I never knew Alfa would be able to get over me," she said, offering me a seat beside her bed. "You know, he's always been obsessed with me." Her words annoyed me.
"Obsessed?" I couldn't see Alfa being obsessed with anyone.
"Yes, maybe he's just using you to make me jealous." She laughed, and I felt disgusted. "Be careful not to fall for him, because he might end up ditching you."
"Alright, I've heard enough." I stood up.
"I'm sorry, I was just looking out for a fellow girl," she pulled me back. "Don't be angry," she pouted. I couldn't deny that she was beautiful.
"Alright," I sat down.
"Help me pick the best dress to wear. I'm going to a birthday party tomorrow." She opened her wardrobe, and I couldn't restrain my eyes from widening—it was jaw-dropping.
"I forgot about this dress." She pulled out a green gown. "Alfa bought it for me from Dubai." She gushed. I thought, wacko, you just lied. Alfa only likes black, red, and white gowns. So either he didn't buy it, or he bought it but had no interest in checking what it looked like on you.
"I hope you can satisfy his sexual needs," she shrugged.
"Excuse me?" I felt irritated.
"You know, every time he meets a new girl, he always comes back to me saying I'm the only one who can satisfy his sexual needs." She bragged, and I could see why any man would always come back to her—she was drop-dead gorgeous. "He loves sex," she giggled.
He loves sex. Honestly, the way he handled me that day was the work of a professional. It wasn't something you learn in a day. So what if he really is a sex addict? Would I be able to satisfy him with my mere unprofessional skills? I was never good at sex. Josh once told me that.
"You know, sex drives men. If you don't know how to satisfy them, they'll look elsewhere." She was right. Men are sex-driven, I knew that. But why am I doubting myself? Now, I feel like Alfa might be snatched away from me one day, just like Josh.
"I have to leave," I said, holding back the tears as I walked out of her room. I came out to see Alfa drinking with Mr. Donald.
"Are you alright?" Alfa asked the moment he saw me. I tried to act normal to avoid alerting our host.
"I'm fine, just a little headache," I lied.
"Let me get you some aspirin," Mr. Donald offered.
"No worries, I just need a good sleep."
"Alright, let me drive you home. Thank you, Mr. Donald, for the dinner." He thanked them, and I did the same before we left.
I stayed silent throughout the drive. He kept trying to make me talk, but I was too lost in thought to reply. How can I make him stay? I've never wanted anything—or anyone—as much as I want Alfa.
The moment we got home, I started kissing him. We were still in the car garage when I attacked him with a kiss. He was surprised at first but reciprocated. I wasn't my normal self, taking the lead. I forcibly removed his shirt—I'm sure I must have torn a button or two. I removed my gown, leaving only my undies. He stopped me when I tried to remove his belt.
"What's wrong?" he asked, calming me down with a caress over my cheek.
"Nothing. I just want to have you," I said with a frown.
"You will always have me. So tell me, did Sophia say anything?" He narrowed his eyes at me, not even knowing her name.
"She told me you were obsessed with her and would end up coming back to her." I said, and he scoffed.
"Obsessed? Wow, I thought you knew me better than that."
"I do. But I'm more concerned about what she said about your sex life. She said you're an addict. I'm worried you might leave because I can't satisfy you with my zero skills." I muttered the last part, but he heard it and burst into laughter.
"You heard I'm a sex addict and you weren't worried I might kill you with sex? You're worried you can't satisfy me?" he chuckled, and I facepalmed as I realized how stupid I sounded.
"Baka," I barked, and he chuckled, pulling me closer.
"You never truly understand how deeply I feel for you. You bring me to climax without sex. You do it with just a simple touch, a simple giggle, a smile in a heartbeat. No one can compare to you in my life. I love you, and that is the beginning and end of everything." He said, and I hiccupped. Some truths are so heavy when they're given to you, they drain all your energy. I stood there looking at him, his words repeating in my head.
"I love you, and believe me, no one has ever heard me say such words."
I gasped and started hitting his chest.
"You should know, some things are too much for a girl to handle. How can you drop such a bomb on me in a garage, while I'm just in my panties and bra?" I stood as I hit his chest, and he didn't move to stop me.
"Next time, try giving me a warning before dropping such news on me, you big lump of a man. Baka, baka." I felt my tears rolling down. I once thought he was my guardian angel, but he's actually more than that. And now I'm thinking, what did I do to deserve him?
"I love you too, baka," I said, and he smiled.
"You made me worried for a while," he smiled and kissed me. Then he deepened the kiss, and I knew he was about to finish what I started.
After our garage confession and escapade, I felt even closer to him. I guess I feel closer to him every day. I spoke with my family, and everyone is fine. My life couldn't be better. I'm alone at home since he went to the office to handle things. He always makes business calls from time to time. If you ask me, I'd say he's a lazy CEO, since he hardly goes to work. I love it like that.
I've been thinking about how to handle Henry's situation. Alfa is someone who doesn't have many people close to his heart, so I wouldn't want him to lose the few people who are close to him.
"Hi, Bunny," he said, pecking my head as I welcomed him.
"So, go bath and come to the dining to have your lunch," I said, and he grinned. I've started cooking for him, and he loves whatever I cook. I may not be the greatest in bed or the prettiest in his life, but I have no equal when it comes to food—and that makes me proud.
"I'll be sending Henry to London. He'll have to manage the branches over there," he said as he ate the egusi I prepared. It saddens me that he's sending Henry away like that. I have to do something.
"Can't you two straighten things out?" I asked, and he shook his head. I knew he must have tried his best.
"I have something to tell you, but you warned me never to drop big news on you without a warning, so I'm thinking of the best way to tell you without getting hit again." He gave me a side glance.
"If you got a thousand dollars for every time you made me fawn with just a side glance, you'd be way richer than you are now," I said, and he grinned.
"You can start now."
I scoffed at him.
"Well, what's the news?" I asked, and he shook his head.
"It isn't ready yet." He's been doing a lot for me, so I'm determined to do something in return for him. I'm going back to see Henry. My mind is made up.
"I too have something for you," I said, and he grinned like a little kid. I know he'll try to stop me, so I'll leave without telling him. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing, but I know I won't be free until I do.
He fell asleep after his meal, so I decided it was time to leave. Sadly, I have to take the road. I looked at him as he peacefully slept. Please, God, guide me all the way.
I dropped a written note for him, telling him where I was going but not what I was going to do. Knowing Alfa, I knew he'd come rushing. So I prayed he wouldn't wake up on time, and that the road would be clear. It was only 12 noon, so if the road was clear, I'd be at the company before 5 pm. Alfa loves to sleep, so I'm guessing he'll wake up by 4 or so—that gives me time. I already called Esther, and she assured me Henry was at the company. I hope I succeed.
