Chapter 35
Grant
The sound of the back door slamming jolted Grant out of his shock. He looked over at Edie, who was still holding the switch and staring at the door their babygirl had just disappeared through.
Once again, he found himself torn between them. Jesse obviously needed him, but he had a feeling Edie was going to need some help processing what had just happened, too.
“You go on up.” Matt laid a hand on his shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “Jesse needs her Daddy. I’ll send Edie up when she’s ready.”
Right. Edie had her friends, and from what he’d seen of their relationships so far, she would be in good hands.
Still, it killed him to turn his back on the other half of his heart, and he prayed he was doing the right thing as he made his way up the stairs to the guest bedroom. He could hear Jesse’s sobs before he even made it to the second floor, and his heart broke yet again for his poor Little girl.
Stretching out on the bed beside her, he pulled her into his arms, rubbing his hand up and down her back as she soaked his shirt with her tears.
“Shhh, baby. It’s okay. You’re okay.”
“I’m n-n-not!” she wailed, pressing herself so close he wondered for a moment if she might try to crawl into his shirt. “Everyone heard! I didn’t even mean to say it!”
“I know, baby.” What else could he say? Everyone clearly heard her call Edie ‘Mommy’, and there was no taking that back. But he couldn’t help but feel like there was something deeper going on. A little embarrassment wasn’t enough to cause this reaction, not for his little outlaw.
Unfortunately, there was no talking to her when she was in this state. So he simply held her, and let her cry it out until she finally went limp in his arms and let out a shuddering sigh.
“Poor babygirl,” he murmured, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Ready to talk about it now?”
“No.” Despite the circumstances, the sulk in her voice was absolutely adorable. “I never wanna talk about it, ever.”
“That’s not really an option, little outlaw. Not when you just sobbed your heart out in my arms.”
“It’s nothing. I was just embarrassed.”
“Baby.” His sigh was pure exasperation, with a tinge of amusement. “Do you really expect me to believe that?”
“Would be nice if you did,” she grumbled. But a moment later she sighed and shook her head. “No. No, I don’t expect you to believe that.”
“Then tell Daddy what’s wrong. Are you worried Edie will be upset that you called her Mommy?”
“Yes.” The word was barely a whisper. “We haven’t talked at all about what happens once the month is over and we’re more than halfway there! What if she doesn’t want to keep us? What if she wants to stay here forever, just like before? What if?—”
“What if we actually ask Edie what she wants?” Grant interrupted, keeping his tone gentle. “Do you think that might be a better place to start?”
“I wanted to, but you kept threatening to spank me!”
Grant winced at the truth in her words. “You’re right. I was trying to keep Edie from panicking, but obviously I overcorrected. I’m sorry I didn’t realize you were feeling so uncertain about everything.”
“I wasn’t, not really. Not until Edie told me she was giving me more of a punishment because I was hers. It felt so… like she was claiming me, you know? For real and forever and it got my brain all jumbled out and the more she spanked me the more Little I felt and it just… slipped out.”
“That makes sense.”
“Do you think she meant it?” Eyes still shimmering with tears, Jesse looked up at him, the plea clear in her eyes. “Do you think she really meant I’m hers? Like, forever and ever?”
“Yes, babygirl. I meant every word of it.”
Edie
It hadn’t taken long for Edie to break out of the weird trance Jesse’s slipup had put her into. As soon as Carly had laid a tentative hand on her arm, asking if she was okay, she’d told everyone to get the hell out of her house and she’d gone racing toward her babygirl.
But then she’d hesitated, waiting outside the bedroom as Jesse wept in their Daddy’s arms. She’d almost gone in then, but Grant’s questions had stopped her.
It wasn’t until she heard Jesse asking if she’d really meant what she’d said, in that sweet, trembling Little voice, that she’d finally moved.
Jesse jerked upward, her short hair a mess, her eyes swollen and red and still leaking tears. And still the most beautiful woman Edie had ever laid eyes on.
“You did?” she asked, her tone a mix of hope and fear. “Really, really?”
“Really, really, baby.” Forcing her feet forward, she lowered herself to the bed. With them, but apart, just like she’d felt from the moment they’d asked her to be theirs. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner. I don’t think I really knew for myself that I’d made up my mind until I said it.”
“Made up your mind about what?” Grant asked, his steady, watchful gaze locked on her.
“About us. The three of us. I’m still not sure how the hell it’s going to work, but when I think about you two leaving at the end of the month, I can’t breathe.” She blinked back tears, determined to get through this without breaking down. “I don’t think you ever stopped being mine, Jesse. I think that’s the real reason I was so angry for so long. I never stopped loving you, not really. And the thought of losing you again…”
The tears she was battling against so valiantly clogged her throat. But apparently she’d said enough, because a moment later Jesse was in her arms, squeezing her so tight she could barely breathe. “It’s always been you, Edie. Always.”
“Thank god.” Closing her eyes, she held Jesse close, relief washing over her so strong it made her tremble.
“Are you very mad I called you Mommy?” Jesse asked, her voice so quiet Edie almost didn’t hear it.
“No, baby. I’m not mad at all. I’m actually so happy you trusted me enough to be that vulnerable with me.”
“Really?” Hope, so bright and pure it was nearly painful to look at straight on, shined in Jesse’s eyes when she pulled away. “Really, really?”
“Really, really, baby. If you’re ready for me to be your Mommy, then I’m ready, too.” As soon as she actually said the words, everything inside her seemed to settle into place. It just felt so right.
“I, um…” Jesse twisted around to look over her shoulder. “Daddy?”
“If that’s what you want, baby, we can give it a try. I don’t have a problem with Edie being your Mommy.” He smiled in a way that had butterflies exploding in Edie’s stomach. “As long as Edie is still planning to be my little pixie.”
“Always.” Echoing the promise she’d made to Jesse, she reached for him, linking her fingers with his and allowing herself to be pulled toward him. Their babygirl ended up trapped between them, her sweet giggle soothing some of the ache in Edie’s soul.
“Does this mean you’re going to come to California with us soon?” The hope that had been shining in her eyes now filled her voice, and Edie couldn’t bring herself to squash it.
“I suppose I’ll have to. It really isn’t fair to ask both of you to uproot your entire lives for me. Not when you have whole careers on the other side of the country and I just have…”
“Your family,” Grant finished quietly. “Do you really think we don’t know those girls downstairs are your family, little pixie? They’re your sisters, just as much as if you’d been born from the same womb. We can’t ask you to leave them.”
It was a relief, because the thought of leaving her girls was too painful to even contemplate. But it was also another roadblock she had no clue how to scale. “So, what do we do?”
“Well, as our babygirl pointed out back when we first started discussing a relationship, she’s on the go a good portion of the time, anyway. And she wouldn’t be the first celebrity with multiple homes. I don’t see any reason she can’t be here when she’s between projects and other responsibilities.”
That was true. But Jesse wasn’t the only consideration. “What about your company?”
He shrugged as if they weren’t discussing uprooting their entire lives. “I can run it just as efficiently from here as I can from anywhere else. I’ll travel to California with Jesse as needed, so I can check in on things there, and otherwise I’ll be here. If you don’t mind me converting one of the bedrooms into an office.”
Her head was spinning. “You’ve given this some thought.”
“I’ve been working it out in my head since day one, little pixie. And if you want to come with us to California on occasion, I have ideas for that, as well.”
“Of course you do.” Because that was what men like Grant Carter did. They took care of the people around them. “I guess it’s settled, then. We’ll split our time between here and California and… wherever else our Little girl ends up.”
“Hooray!” Giggling wildly, Jesse threw her hands over her head.
Edie took advantage of the move, gripping her babygirl’s wrists in her hand and pinning them to the pillow. “We should celebrate. Are you still feeling so very Little, babygirl?”
Those golden eyes turned molten at the question. “N-no, Edie.”
“Good. Because Daddy and I have a surprise for you.” Sliding her free hand up the sensitive inner skin of Jesse’s thigh, Edie let her lips curve in a slow, wicked smile. “Would you like your surprise now, baby?”
“Yes, Ma’am.”
“I’ll get it,” Grant said. “You get our babygirl ready.”
She was dimly aware of Grant rolling off the bed. But most of her attention was riveted on her babygirl. On the way her breath caught on every inhale, on the way she spread her thighs a little wider as Edie’s hand traveled north.
On the way she arched up, silently begging for more when Edie pressed her fingers to the soaked gusset of her panties.
Chuckling, Edie rubbed her clit through the damp cotton. “Daddy, it seems as though our Little girl has made quite a mess in her panties.”
Color flooded Jesse’s cheeks. “Edie,” she whined, drawing the last syllable out. “Stop teasing me.”
“Why on Earth would I stop teasing you when I’m only getting started?”
Nudging her panties to the side, Edie slipped a finger into Jesse’s pussy, grinning when her muscles clamped greedily around her. “Poor babygirl. Do you need this empty little pussy filled?”
“Yes.” With a loud gasp, Jesse raised her hips, pushing Edie’s finger deeper. “Please, yes.”
“Good girl. Daddy and I are going to make sure both your little holes are nice and full tonight.”
Jesse froze, her eyes widening. “Both?”
“Mmhmm. You didn’t think we’d leave your little bottom hole out of this, did you? You were very naughty, after all.”
“I wasn’t trying to be naughty!”
“But you were. Roll over, baby, so Mommy can get that little bottom nice and stretched out for Daddy’s cock.”
Whining softly, Jesse rolled when Edie released her hands, burying her face in the pillow. “Please, Mommy, I didn’t mean to be naughty. I’m sorry!”
“I know you are, baby. But how will you learn if Mommy and Daddy don’t make sure you’ve been properly punished?”
Hooking her fingers in the waistband of Jesse’s panties, she tugged them down. Over the swell of her perfect ass, down her thighs, and off, tossing them to the side without bothering to look to see where they landed.
“Look at this poor, striped bottom. Does it hurt very much, babygirl?”
“Yes! It hurts lots!”
Leaning down, Edie brushed her lips over the thin welts crisscrossing her Little girl’s bottom. “There. All better.”
“You missed a spot, Mommy.” Jesse raised her hips, making it clear what ‘spot’ she felt had been missed, and Edie laughed.
“That spot’s going to have to wait, little girl. Daddy, can you hand me the lube, please, so I can get our babygirl nice and loosened up?”
“Here you go. This should help, too.”
Along with the lube, he handed her a slender dildo. It would certainly help to stretch her, but it was nowhere near the size of Grant’s thick cock. Excitement pulsed through Edie’s veins at the thought of their babygirl taking both of them inside her at the same time.
Popping open the lid on the bottle of lubricant, Edie glanced up at Grant. “Actually, Daddy… would you hold her bottom open for me? Maybe with her laying over your lap. I think that would give me better access to all our Little girl’s parts.”
Need, as hot and strong as her own, flashed in his eyes. “I think that sounds like an excellent idea.”
