Chapter 32 - Madi

CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

Madi

About four hours later, we’d successfully packed every single order at Whynot Bloom. We’d caught her up on making bouquets, helped her reorganize her cooler, and I had a new appreciation for the work that went into owning a floral shop.

Dallas and I lingered as everyone made their way home. Eventually, it was just us, June, and Laura left. She’d been passed out on the beanbag for the last hour.

“Let me call Ethan,” June whispered.

“We can see each other another night if we need to,” I murmured.

“No, I need this. She wasn’t supposed to stay the night with me. Give me just a couple minutes.”

Dallas winced as June went to the front of the shop, her phone already pressed to her ear.

“She’s exhausted,” I whispered to him.

He nodded. “She is.”

“She needs some TLC.”

“Agreed.” He swallowed hard and leaned back against one of the tables. We both glanced over at Laura, who was curled up and snoring lightly. “That kid has been through it. And I’m glad she has June and the rest of us.”

“She loves you all.”

His smile crinkled his eyes. “Yeah.”

He reached for my hand and yanked me close. I slid my arms around his waist, my head resting on his chest as he hugged me.

I inhaled his scent, memorizing the depth of it. The woodsy parts, the earthy spice that made my mouth water. I could hear his heart pounding as he held me, a fluttering thump.

“This is nice,” I whispered.

“Sleep in my bed tonight,” he murmured. “Sleep in my bed every night.”

“What if I hate your bed? I haven’t even seen it yet.”

His chuckle was deep in his chest. “I think you’ll like it.”

A bell chimed at the front. Footsteps echoed. We both turned around as June returned to us, a man I hadn’t met yet right behind her.

He was definitely her brother. There were parts of his face that reminded me of hers, but instead of bright pink hair, his was chestnut brown.

“Hey, Ethan,” Dallas grunted.

“Hey,” he said, slowly frowning.

“This is Madi,” June said. “She’s the artist visiting from LA.”

“Oh, nice.” He gave an awkward wave. “Well, I’ll grab Laura and get out of your hair. Thank you for watching her.”

“Of course.”

I kept my arms around Dallas’s waist as June and Ethan slowly woke her up. Or, tried to. She was dragging.

“Do you want me to carry her?” Dallas asked.

“Yeah, if you don’t mind,” Ethan sighed. “She’s getting too big for me to do it.”

I released him, my chest warm and fuzzy as Dallas picked her up with ease and carried her out.

“We’ll be back,” June said.

“Take your time.”

I waited patiently, trying to keep my thoughts from straying too horny. Now that the three of us would be alone, though, it was hard not to let them wander.

It’d been a special kind of torture since Friday night. I hadn’t ever come that hard in my life. Hearing them on the phone, listening to Dallas’s baritone voice, June’s whines and moans—I wanted to do it again.

But this time in person.

Heavy boots sounded. Dallas emerged with June in tow. Both of their shoulders were rigid, scowling like they were still pissed off at each other. Maybe they were. The tension over the last few hours had nearly been unbearable.

“Okay.” June breathed out, planting her hands on her hips. “Let’s have sex.”

Dallas shook his head as we formed a small circle with just enough distance for him to also put his hands on his hips. “I have about twenty questions before we even consider that.”

“I don’t think I have the brain space for twenty questions. I do have the space for twenty orgasms, though."

I fought a laugh. “June.”

Dallas scowled. “First of all, we need to genuinely talk through our kinks as a group and what our boundaries and safewords are. Second, June—what the hell was that tonight? What did I do?”

Her expression pinched with worry. “I was having a hard time. I’m sorry. My mother stopped by earlier.”

“Oh.” He immediately relaxed. “I wish I would have known that. It would have helped me understand the coldness a lot more.”

“It wasn’t just that, though.”

I was quiet, urging her on silently.

June offered me an apologetic look, then refocused on him. “It’s not like we’re keeping this a secret, but I didn’t know how strange it would feel to have all our friends up in our business. I hate being in the limelight like that.”

“Right. I do too.” He rubbed his jaw. “Kind of felt bad about giving Avery a hard time all over again.”

June snorted and surprised me by stepping closer to me. Instinctively, my arms slid around her and I pulled her close, her body warm against mine.

“It wasn’t that bad. I’m sorry. To both of you. Between my mother stopping by, Ethan dropping Laura off, all of the orders, and everything else, I was rude and got lost in my own thoughts.”

Dallas’s eyes softened. “I’m not mad at you.”

“I know.”

“Do you?”

I felt her swallow and she straightened, releasing me. “I do.”

“Really?” He took a step closer. “Because I know how you are. You punish yourself for being human when that humanness feels hard.”

She stepped back, but that just meant she bumped into me. Dallas took another step closer, caging her between us. His gaze flickered to mine, but I couldn't help but smirk.

He lifted his hand, sliding his finger under her chin. He tipped her head back. We both loved the way her breath caught.

June grinned. “Oh no. I’m stuck between two tall bisexuals. Whatever will I do?”

I giggled, biting my lower lip as Dallas smirked.

“I want to hear from both of you exactly what you want to happen tonight.”

Fuck. I slid my arms around June again, pressing a kiss against the side of her neck. A whine left her.

“Madi,” Dallas prompted.

“Hmm, I have a whole laundry list. Let’s see. I want to do more primal play. I want to go down on you while I ride June’s face. I want to turn her into a little begging mess at your command.” His eyes darkened with lust as I continued. “I want to feel submissive and breedable.”

“I can make that happen.”

I smirked. “Oh, I’m sure you can. I’m sure between the three of us, we’ll find some very creative things to try. And yes, I know my safeword. Yes, I want you to come inside me. Yes, I want to get fucked so hard we wake your elderly neighbors. I think that covers it, Sir.”

He sandwiched June between our bodies as he reached for me, his calluses sending goosebumps across my skin as he slid his hand behind my neck.

“I love that you’re calling me Sir like I’m not going to fuck that pretty mouth later until you’re a little mess too, princess.” His grip tightened and I squeaked, the firmness of it going straight to my pussy. “June. What do you want?”

“Everything she wants. I’d love to be deep in sub space. I want to eat your cum out of her . . .”

Dallas’s throat worked. “Yeah?”

“Yeah. And I want you to spank me.”

“Ohhh.” I nodded. “Me too. I want to be spanked too.”

“Think you can handle both of us?”

There was a spark in her voice. Whatever weirdness we’d felt earlier was now gone. All of the energy from the last few days was right under the surface, the three of us desperate for the burn.

My skin hummed with anticipation. I squeezed my thighs together, all too aware of how wet I was.

Thunder boomed outside, shaking the building. Dallas lifted his head. “Let’s go to my house. I told Madi to stay the night. You should too, June. My bed is big enough for us all.”

“Okay,” she agreed. “Big moves, Whynot.”

His hand dropped from the back of my neck and wrapped around the front of her, earning a giggle from June that even had me smiling.

“You keep calling me that,” he whispered. “Like I wasn’t nine inches deep in you last Friday night. I know we’ve known each other a long time, but the man who’s about to fuck you isn’t your friend, June. Call me Whynot again like that, and you’re not going to like me anymore.”

She licked her lips. “Why not?”

Evil. I loved her. I loved the way Dallas’s expression dropped and in a split second, he had our little florist over his shoulders, his hand splayed over her ass.

He met my gaze. “Are you ready to go?”

“I’ve been ready.”

“Good. Let’s get out of here.”
