Chapter 13 Miss Chen’s Rage
After confirming the suspect in the surveillance wasn't me, He Tingzhou and I both breathed a sigh of relief.
I laughed. "Why are you so nervous?"
He Tingzhou draped his jacket back over me. "No need to visit you in jail anymore. That's quite a relief."
I secretly rolled my eyes. As soon as I stood straight, I couldn't help hissing in pain.
He Tingzhou instinctively supported me. "What's wrong? Did you twist your waist?"
"No."
I frowned and reached behind me. "Something on the lining of your jacket pricked me."
He Tingzhou slid his hand under the jacket. "Where?"
I felt around behind me but first grabbed his fingers. The warmth fell into my palm. The next second, he grabbed back and pressed the back of my hand against my waist.
"Here?"
He Tingzhou asked softly.
My mind went blank for a moment. I turned my head and saw He Tingzhou's pitch-black eyes.
My heart pounded. I moved my lips several times before I could barely speak. "It seems—"
"Where is that bitch?!"
A sudden roar rang out in the corridor. The next second, the rest room door was shoved open forcefully!
A woman in sky-high heels stormed in aggressively. The moment she saw me, her eyes sharpened. She raised her hand, ready to slap me hard!
"Is it you, you bitch? Did you kill him?!"
I naturally couldn't just stand there and let her hit me. I instinctively stepped back, and He Tingzhou reached out in time. He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me back, dodging the woman's fierce slap.
"No way, who are you, lady? Why are you hitting me?!"
I was almost slapped for no reason, of course I was pissed. If He Tingzhou hadn't held me back, I would have gone over to argue with her!
"You still have the nerve to ask who I am?!"
The woman raged. "When you were seducing someone else's man, how come you weren't this shameless?!"
Huh?!
I laughed from extreme anger. "Who seduced a man? I only met my crush last night, and today I just held his hand. I haven't even kissed him yet. Who the hell did I seduce?!"
