Chapter Nine
Bryce
“Ihad soooo much fun tonight.” Kasey and Recker may have given Bodie too many shots. “And I was so nervous before we left. Why was I so nervous? I knew you’d be there for me. You always are.”
He’s so fucking adorable—I need to kiss him so badly, but the roads are slick with rain.
“Did you have fun? I had fun. I hope you had fun. Did you have fun?”
“Yes, Bode. I had a lot of fun tonight.” I lovingly chuckle until we get to the next traffic light, when I briefly struggle to free my hand from Bodie’s grasp and put the car in park.
“Come here.” I love the feel of his smooth skin in my hands as I devour him in a much-needed kiss.
His soft whimper in my mouth has my dick getting hard, and he notices as his hands wander.
The blaring of a car horn behind us forces me to pull away, but Bodie’s hand stays on my groin, stroking me through my jeans, and it’s very distracting.
“You’re my boyfriend, aren’t you?”
“Yes. I believe I am.” We should probably be having this conversation when he’s sober, but here we are.
“That’s so cool. I’ve never had a boyfriend before.”
“I think I remember that, Bode.” I hope he doesn’t think I’m laughing at him, but how can someone be irresistibly sexy and funny at the same time?
“I’m glad it’s you.” He releases a big sigh as he rests his head on his window.
“Me too.”
He’s not stumbling drunk, but he’s not sober and awake enough to walk on his own, which makes for a very awkward entry into our building.
When we get to our door, I lean him up against the wall for support while I get out my key card.
I go to catch him when it looks like he’s falling to his knees, but instead, I get my hands swatted away.
“Bode, you can’t do this here.” I try pushing his adamant hands away from my jeans.
“I want to see something.”
“What? Oh my g—” My hand goes to the wall as he unzips me and grasps my dick.
I will myself to stop him before this goes too far out here.
“Bodie, get up, come on.” I pull back and fix myself before helping him to his feet.
He’s a big guy to lift off his knees, and when he leans into me heavily, I know what I need to do.
I swing open the door and tell him, “Wrap your arms around my neck tightly,” lifting him by his ass.
“Now your legs.” Shit, he’s heavier than I thought, and getting to my room is going to be a task.
His lips brush over every inch of my neck and shoulders, trailing heated chills over my skin, and making it really hard to focus on anything but what my dick craves.
In his room, I undress him even as he tries to do the same to me.
“Bode, rest.” Climbing in next to him, I’m surrounded by limbs and immediately feel content knowing I’ll get a good night’s sleep with him by my side.
I have a feeling this may be what some people call codependency.
Bodie has always been my safe haven. He’s saved me from myself in so many ways, and now he’s making me fall head over heels in love with him.
All while I deal with another issue I know I’ll eventually have to reveal.
