Chapter Nine Part Two
Bodie
Iopened my eyes to see Bryce’s beautiful silhouette again this morning.
The sun had barely risen , but he was awake and getting ready for the day.
He said he had errands to run and was filling in the day shift for Kasey, who apparently got as drunk as I did last night.
Thank goodness for rare days off from games and practice.
The kiss goodbye left me wanting more, so I’m going to hang out at the bar for the afternoon, hoping to get more time with Bryce when he’s not busy.
It’s only two in the afternoon, but when I walk in, I find the bane of my existence, Drew, at the bar talking to Bryce. Though, as soon as my man looks up and sees me, the air doesn’t seem as heavy as it did a moment ago.
“Hey, Bode. I didn’t know you were visiting.” He rounds the bar to offer a hug, which I extend into a brief make-out session until he breathily chuckles and says, “Oh, someone is staking their claim on me now, huh?”
“Get used to it.” I throw back his own words with a similar smirk.
“C’mon. You want a drink?”
“Water. Lots of Water.”
“I left you a bottle on the nightstand,” he says as he hands me another one.
“Yeah, I drank it, along with two more.” If it was anyone else, I’d be offended by his laughter.
Bryce hands me a menu to order something to fill my stomach, while I feel Drew’s glare burning a hole in the side of my face.
After a few minutes, I finally turn to address him, as if I care.
“Oh, hey, Drew. Didn’t see you there. You’re here awfully early.
” I turn my gaze away before I’ve even finished my sentence.
His ego is big enough—I don’t need to let him think I give a fuck that he’s here.
“Yeah, you too. It’s barely two o'clock, and you’re already stalking your friend.”
“He’s more than a friend, Drew.”
“Mhm. I saw.”
“Good. Then you should’ve said that.” Bryce’s expression makes me chuckle as he walks back to the end of the bar. “What time are you working until?”
His stiff brows make me want to change the subject. He didn’t hear Drew being a dick to me—or was it me being a dick to Drew? I don’t care either way; I just don’t want him to worry.
“I’m working a double. Kasey stayed a lot later than we did last night.”
My food arrives just as my stomach starts rumbling.
“And tonight was my normal shift.”
“Last night was a good night.”
“Oh, yeah? What did you guys do?” Drew butts in to yet another conversation.
“We went to Aura,” Bryce tells him, even though I planned on ignoring him just for fun.
“Oh, nice place. You should’ve called me, Bryce. I would’ve come to hang out.”
I look from Drew to Bryce and come to the conclusion that he’s as confused as I am about why Drew thinks he would want to invite him. Which leads me to believe Drew is only trying to make me jealous.
“Yeah, maybe next time,” Bryce tells him, and then waits on another person down the end of the bar.
“You’ve been coming here how long now?” I chew my grilled chicken between words. “You shouldn’t act so desperate. It’s not becoming of you.”
“I’m not concerned with how I look to you, Bodie.”
“Yeah, but I know Bryce. He’s never going to go out with you. Especially not now.”
“You seem awfully confident for someone who’s been bi for what? Five minutes?” The asshole looks at his watch. “You think you know more than you really do about Bryce.”
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” I regret asking when he smirks, knowing he’s getting the best of me now. “Never mind. I don’t need to know shit from you.”
He taps the bar and throws a twenty down. Bryce nods up at him with a wave.
“Just remember. You’re a convenience because you live with him, and that’ll get old real fast.”
“Your mother should’ve swallowed you, Drew.” I fear my attempt to look unbothered didn’t go as planned when he walks away, chuckling to himself. I don’t know why everything about this guy infuriates me.
Fuck, why did I let him rattle me? I know Bryce—better than he does—no matter what he said.
I almost choke on my salad in my hurry to finish it. I need to leave and get some air. “Bryce, I’m heading out. See you later.” I stumble over the curb on the way to the car, sitting for a few minutes to gather my thoughts before starting it. I just need sleep, that’s all—more sleep.
The rest is exactly what I needed before I head back to the bar tonight.
It’s past eleven, so instead of driving home by myself, I Uber to the bar and wait for Bryce to get off work in a few hours.
The parking lot isn’t well lit, but something catches my eye behind one of the cars we pass.
I’ve seen those guys at the bar before—can’t miss that platinum-blond hair on a guy.
His boyfriend, I assume, is standing behind him, and they’re looking down the lot.
When I hop out of the car, I take a detour to find what they are staring at—I’m nosy, I can’t help it.
The other end of the lot is crowded with cars, and before I even get behind them, I see movement to the back of a Jeep about six cars down.
Holy shit. Dropping below a car so the two guys fucking behind the Jeep don’t see me, I watch for a minute.
Damn, they’re really going at it. The curly brown-haired guy I saw at the bar a couple times is taking the dark-haired guy from behind.
Feeling like a fucking peeping Tom, I tear myself away from the show, but not before my dick is half-hard in my jeans from just imagining Bryce fucking me like that.
Not that I’d ever have the confidence to fuck in public, though.
My mind would get the best of me for sure.
While the bar is swimming with a lot of familiar faces tonight, luckily, no annoyances seem to have shown up.
Then I spot Bryce, and it’s like gravity takes over, pulling me toward him in a way I think it always has.
I take a seat that opens and quietly wait for him to notice me.
Just when I think he’s too busy and I should leave, he heads my way while talking to Calisse, and hands me a beer.
He lifts his upper body over the bar, leaning into me for a tender kiss.
I vaguely hear the hooting and whistling in the background over the thumping in my ears.
“I’m glad you came back.” Bryce leaves as fast as he came, and I’m left adjusting my now fully erect cock under the bar to get it to calm the fuck down. This is going to be a long fucking night.
The bar died down about thirty minutes ago when they announced last call. Most of the crowd left shortly after, but there are still a few stragglers wandering around when Calisse makes her rounds on the second floor.
“Bodie,” Bryce hollers from the hallway as Calisse comes back down. “Wait inside for me. I’ll be ready in twenty.”
“Bryce, everyone is gone. I’m going home. See you tomorrow. Bye, Bodie.”
The clicking of the lock when Calisse rushes out the door sets me into motion.
I follow the faint noise down the employee hallway toward the kitchen and stock area, looking for Bryce.
A few doors are locked and the kitchen is empty, but the second door I find open is the stockroom.
Bryce is bending over, about to lift two cases of beer at once, but the creak of the door just before it closes grabs his attention.
“Hey, Bode. What’re you doing back here?”
“Just wanted to see something.”
I amaze myself with the confidence in my steps as I approach him—can I really do this here? The lopsided grin on Bryce’s face tells me he has a clue as to what I’m up to.
“Bodie.” The way he draws out my name as if I’m about to get in trouble has my dick hardening again. “Get that look off your face.”
I pull the cases from his grasp, setting them aside, and back him into the wall next to us.
“We can’t. Not here,” he tries to say. I silently drop to my knees, and I can tell the moment Bryce’s willpower fades. His head lolls back, his eyes to the ceiling as a bulge forms in the front of his jeans. He wants this as much as I do.
I open his belt buckle and his hands fist my curls as he bites into the hem of his raised shirt.
Peeling his jeans and boxers down, I’m face-to-face with his tattooed stomach and rock-hard cock for the first time.
Damn, he’s beautiful. Being up close to him now, I finally see how big he is—both in length and girth.
Fuck, how am I supposed to get my mouth around him, never mind my throat?
I test my confidence further with a lick over his head, and I taste the saltiness of—precum or sweat?
Who knows which, but it arouses me more than I imagined.
I take him into my mouth a little bit at a time as I slide my tongue under the head, massaging that sensitive spot I know I like.
The heavy breathing and soft groans coming from above tell me he does too.
I barely have half of his cock in my mouth before I gag and pull off him, coughing.
“Fuck, are you okay?”
I swallow and take him back into my mouth, relaxing my throat, trying to get out of my head.
“Bodie,” he gasps between me bobbing on his cock. “Take it slow—holy shit—you’re doing really good, babe.”
The praise gives me more energy to keep going, and my hands find homes on his ass and the base of his cock.
I suck hard as I come off him and spit in my hand before returning it to his shaft and taking him back down my throat, twisting, bobbing, and hollowing my cheeks over and over again.
Never would I have thought I’d enjoy sucking cock as much as I am right now.
My own is hurting as it pushes against the fabric of my jeans for breathing room.
The door creaking surprises us, and I turn to see Caleb backing out of the doorway.
“Shit. Sorry, guys, I didn’t know you were in here.”
Bryce doubles over in laughter, taking my head in his hands and kissing the top. “Fuck Caleb, man,” he says, and hauls me to my feet. “As much as I want you to finish what you started, I need to close up and talk to him about what he just saw.”
“Damn, are you going to get in trouble?” I wipe my mouth with my sleeve.
“No. Don’t worry about it.” He kisses me softly as he fixes his clothes. “Go wait at the bar for me.”
I take a seat up front, the surface of the bar cool against my forehead, embarrassment heating my face, but a smile hurting my cheeks at the same time.
I loved the feel of his smooth skin in my mouth, the taste of his manliness.
Now, I understand why Amber loved doing it so much—I chuckle about yet another thing I have in common with her and didn’t even know it all this time.
“You ready?”
The soothing motion of Bryce’s hands on my back and shoulders gives me the courage to show my face before Caleb shows up. “Is he locking up?”
Bryce is sporting another playful smirk. “No. He left out the back door so he wouldn’t make you uncomfortable.”
“A little late, but awfully nice of him.”
The chill of the March night air reminds me to be thankful we don’t get much of the real winter weather here. Now I just have to deal with what’s going to plague my mind until I get the chance to finish what may be a new obsession.
