Chapter 16
Chapter Sixteen
Mal
This had already been my favorite Christmas, but Gray telling me that she loved me put it so far over the top that all the rest of them faded away.
Eventually we had to get up and eat something, so I joined her in the kitchen for a big breakfast that we ate sitting on the floor in front of the tree.
“Oh, I need to give you your present. It’s not as nice as the one you got me, I’m sorry.”
She blushed and bit her lip.
“Hey,” I told her, taking her hands. “I’m going to love it, no matter what it is.”
She handed me a box and wouldn’t stop explaining that it wasn’t as good as hers. I had to kiss her a bunch of times to get her to stop.
I unwrapped the box and pulled out several silk bonnets. I’d thought about trying them for sleeping with my hair, but just hadn’t yet. How did she know?
Her entire face was blazing red and she wouldn’t meet my eyes. “I did some reading online and I thought…that they’d be good for your hair. I’m sorry. I should have gotten you something better.”
Now it was my turn to tackle her to the floor and make her understand that I loved my present.
“You’re the only one who’s going to see me using them,” I told her as she giggled underneath me.
“I’d better be,” she said, and I kissed her until she couldn’t think anymore.
The rest of the day was perfect. I watched as Gray unwrapped her other presents, including the ones she’d bought for herself. It was adorable to watch her tell me she’d forgotten what she’d bought and see her surprise and delight when she realized what they were.
I couldn’t get enough of her.
“I thought about getting you a vibrator, but I figured we could just use mine,” I said. I liked her using mine.
“Maybe we can pick some out together?”
Well, there was an idea.
“Perfect,” I said, kissing her again.
Perfect Christmas, perfect day, perfect girl.
It didn’t get any better than this.
