Chapter 6

Chapter Six

The text stated Dayne would be waiting in front of the lodge at three.

The second Cara stepped outside, he was hard to miss. He stood out in the sun, with a hand raised to shade his eyes while he surveyed the lake.

Was there another orgy happening in the grass down there?

She stepped beside him and peered in the same direction. No orgy this afternoon. Just a couple having sex on one of the paddle boats in the middle of the water. She guessed people could find the most unique places to do it around here.

Dayne might be making sure the boat didn’t tip and the guests ended up drowning. That would be bad for business.

She turned to him and announced, “I’m ready for my tour.”

His head twisted toward her and his forehead creased. “Sorry?”

“My tour. Wasn’t I supposed to be here at three?”

Before she could pull out her cell phone to double check the text, clarity filled his face. Had he forgotten already? Weird.

“Ah, yes. You must have made plans with my twin.”

“Twin,” she repeated.

The man jutted out his hand. “Welcome to the Double D. I’m Dylan Lyons, one of the co-owners. You must’ve already met my twin, Dayne.”

“He mentioned a brother but not that you’re twins.” Or maybe she missed that tidbit last night due to her nerves.

“Despite being identical, we’re not exactly the same.”

Dayne joined them and slapped Dylan on the chest. “Thankfully. Dylan is boring. Me? I’m a bundle of excitement.”

She blinked as she took them both in. They certainly were identical.

Being constantly mistaken for each other had to be a pain. The only slight differences she could see between the two were the cut of their hair, which was still very similar, and the fact that Dayne was clean-shaven.

Dylan rolled his eyes. “Enjoy your stay…” He pointed to his brother. “Only, watch this one. I suggest carrying pepper spray.”

“Pepper spray?”

Dayne cupped his hand around the side of his mouth, leaned in and stage-whispered, “His jokes are never funny.”

“That was a joke?” she asked.

Dayne shrugged. “Exactly.” He turned to her and tipped his head down.

“Sorry for running a few minutes late. I got sucked into a virtual meeting against my will and I still need to go grab the UTV. Why don’t you go back inside and hang out in the lounge or grab a drink by the pool.

I can text you once I’m out front with it. ”

“That’s fine. Take your time.”

With a nod, his long legs ate up the ground as he headed around the exterior of the lodge and disappeared.

She had just finished a glass of wine when she received another text. Your chariot awaits out front.

When she went back outside, she noticed that Dayne had parked a small utility-type four-wheeler only feet from the front doors. Perks of being an owner, she guessed.

The man himself was leaning back against the hood of the all-terrain vehicle with both his arms and ankles crossed. Despite him appearing bored, she couldn’t deny the man was extremely handsome, as well as sexy. Even fully dressed, it was obvious he took good care of his physique.

So did his twin.

Dayne—she assumed this time it really was him due to the lack of facial hair—straightened and a genuine smile grew across his face when she approached. It was infectious and she didn’t bother to control her own.

No point in being coy since the man had his fingers inside her earlier.

“I didn’t get to ask this earlier because of my brother but…good day so far?” As soon as he shoved his dark sunglasses to the top of his dark blond head, she could see the gleam in his hazel eyes.

“Can’t complain about it.”

The lines at the corners of his eyes deepened. “We aim to please.”

“Apparently,” she teased, then jerked her chin towards the vehicle. It was open on the sides but had a roof and windshield as well as knobby tires made for off-road use. “Honestly, I thought we’d be walking. ”

“The property is three-hundred acres. Do you really want to walk?” One of his eyebrows cocked. “Unless you want to go on horseback?”

She’d never ridden a horse in her life. “Motorized transportation will work perfectly fine.”

He flipped a hand toward the front seats. “Sit in the front with me.”

Had he expected her to treat him like some sort of chauffeur and sit in the back? She climbed into the passenger seat expecting him to join her.

He didn’t.

Instead, he went back to leaning against the hood of the UTV.

That was…odd. “Are we waiting on someone?”

Wearing a wicked smile, he glanced over his shoulder at her, then he tipped his head to his left. She looked in that direction, confused.

Then she saw him. Long legs ate up the distance between them. “Jack?” she whispered.

Was he serious? He invited the man she used in her imagination to…

Heat licked at her cheeks but also warmed her belly. Luckily, Jack had no idea she had objectified him. Her eyes flicked to the resort’s co-owner. Unless Dayne told him?

She pressed hands to her hot cheeks. Oh no.

“His name isn’t Jack,” Dayne mentioned casually.

Of course it wasn’t!

“It’s Heath.”

“You talked to him.” She might as well climb out of the vehicle and go hide in her room. Or under a rock.

“I invited him along. He only arrived this morning and hadn’t had a chance to check out the resort grounds.”

“Do you always do private tours? ”

“Absolutely not,” was Dayne’s answer as Jack—no, Heath —reached them.

His dark eyes flicked back and forth between Dayne and Cara.

“Heath. Cara. Cara. Heath,” Dayne introduced.

“Hello, Cara.”

Holy smokes! His voice wrapped around her like a warm hug. He could talk dirty to her—like Dayne did earlier—anytime.

The corners of his lips curled upward. “Hello, Cara,” Heath repeated.

She shook herself mentally. “I… uh …hello.”

She silently groaned. She sounded like an idiot. Did she lose all her brain cells this morning with that orgasm?

With a smothered, but still audible, chuckle, Dayne invited Heath to climb in the back, and as he did, Dayne slid into the driver’s seat. He started the engine and called out, “Ready?”

Was she ever! Suddenly, she didn’t have one regret coming to the ranch. She was about to spend time with two very scrumptious men.

She reined in her excitement since she really couldn’t judge what kind of men they were based only on looks.

Panic washed over her. Maybe she shouldn’t go alone with two strangers. Beside the fact that Dayne gave her her first male-induced orgasm, she didn’t know him at all.

But before she could think twice about going, the UTV lurched forward and they were on their way.

“How long do you think we’ll be gone?” she asked Dayne.

He glanced over at her with his brow furrowed. “Is there a problem?”

“No…I…” She squeezed her eyes shut. Consent. They emphasized consent here. And Dayne, as one of the owners, probably helped write the resort’s policies. She opened her eyes and shook her head. “No. No problem. I was just curious if we’d be back in time for dinner.”

“If we’re not, I’ll make sure you’re fed when we return. I’ve got some pull around here.” One side of his mouth hiked up. “Don’t worry.”

When he reached over to squeeze her knee gently, her skin prickled under her jeans. And, goodness , not in a bad way. But his hand quickly returned to the steering wheel and he concentrated on driving. Was it weird that she missed his touch?

She startled when Heath’s voice came from directly behind her. “Did you enjoy the show this morning?”

Combined with his delicious voice, the memory of it caused her pussy to clench. She pinned her thighs tighter together.

“She enjoyed it much more than the party last night,” Dayne answered for her, shooting her another quick, but concerned, glance.

“I missed it.” Heath’s disappointment was clear.

“They’re usually Saturday or Sunday nights. Sometimes both. But believe me, there are plenty of other activities to take part in. Or make your own party. This morning proved only a blanket and some willing participants are needed.”

“Last night’s event was a little overwhelming,” Cara finally admitted.

“Why’s that?”

“This morning was her first ever orgasm not self-achieved.”

“I’m sorry?” Heath asked.

She grimaced. Shit. Dayne’s answer did not help relieve the heat in her cheeks. “It’s true. ”

“You came to a resort built around sex to achieve your first orgasm?”

“It wasn’t my—” She shook her head. “That wasn’t why I came.” Not for that specific reason, anyway.

“She’s here to learn.” Again, Dayne was speaking for her. She wasn’t sure whether to be annoyed at his forwardness or be grateful he was answering for her.

“Learn what, exactly?”

Dayne once again answered. “Whether real life is as good as fiction.”

Heath sat back in his seat and she waited for him to ask for an explanation. Surprisingly, he didn’t. Instead, he asked, “How long are you here for, Cara?”

“Until Sunday morning.”

“The same as me.”

“But I’m still not sure if this place is for me.”

Dayne glanced in the rearview mirror. Most likely to look at Heath, who answered, “That gives you a week to figure out if it is.”

“Or for us to prove that it is,” Dayne added.

She gnawed on her bottom lip. “I don’t know…”

Heath asked, “What do you have to lose?”

“My dignity?”

Beside her, Dayne snorted. “No. You won’t lose that at our resort.

I know we discussed this already, but you’re already here.

And I’ll say it again, you don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with.

So, why not enjoy your stay? Here’s the thing, how will you know what you’re willing to try if you leave? ”

“I agree with Dayne.”

Of course he did.

Heath continued, “I’m curious about the lack of orgasms. Have you ever had a long-term partner? ”

She nodded. “We were together for three years.”

Dayne pulled the UTV up to the Mane Event Hall and shut off the engine. He turned toward her. “What happened?”

“You nailed it last night. This place is proof my sex life has been boring. Disappointing, really.”

“This is the perfect place to change that,” Dayne said as both men climbed out.
