Chapter Hades

Hades

I’d been ignoring calls and texts from mama since yesterday morning. If I heard her voice, I wouldn’t be able to go through with my agenda for her wife. Her tears would drive me away and bring Christian back. Then our son’s life would still be threatened. I couldn’t have that.

The whole time I was being walked inside the warehouse, the only thing I wanted to do was laugh. I didn’t know why that situation was hilarious to me, but it was. Alexis was comical with that kidnapping shit.

I just had one question for that lil’ bitch. Why the fuck you play with yo’ life like that? Whoever the fuck her mama was did one wack ass job raising her dumbass.

“It stank under this bag. Where you get this from?” I joked lowly.

“Oh, this nigga actin’ unusual tonight,” Kégo commented.

Everyone was used to me being serious when shit like this happened, but I couldn’t get in a serious mood. It was the muthafucka being shorter than my woman tryin’ to raise hell for me. Her bitter ass was upset.

“Can we hurry up? I gotta piss,” Benji tried to whisper. I burst out laughing, causing the crew to do the same.

“God dammit. A’ight, everybody stop. The fuck did y’all drink ’cause ain’t no way y’all playin’ at a time like this,” Kégo said sternly.

“I wasn’t even tryin’ to be funny, Kégo. A nigga really got to piss.”

“Benji, it’s always you, and I mean always. Why the fuck do you even show up?” I asked.

I heard footsteps coming toward us, and I immediately quit joking. With the bag over my head, I didn’t know who was approaching. The fun had to cease for a while.

“Papa, it wasn’t me. That’s them playin’, and Hades started it,” Kégo was the first to snitch. At least I knew who walked up on us.

“You snitchin’ ass bitch. Papa, I think you got two hijas (daughters) now,” I said from under the bag.

“Cállate. Todos ustedes actúan como ninos (Y’all still act like children). Get it together. I could hear y’all from the door. Out here in this damn hall…” His words faded as he turned and walked off.

After Diego came to put some straightening on us, there was no more laughter. That scolding was what I needed to become that vicious being everyone knew me as.

Once we walked in the main area of the warehouse, I heard a member say, “Five.” That meant she had five men of her own in the building. We outnumbered her by three, but I was sure the niggas I had with me would take hers out.

I was placed on a chair with a man to both my right and left. I could feel their presence. The only thing was I didn’t know whose men it was that surrounded me.

Clicking of heels and sweet-smelling perfume said that Alexis was without a doubt in attendance. Too bad her revenge would be the reason her short ass would be pushing daisies. My babies were in for a treat.

The closer her steps got, the more my level of excitement rose. She wanted me dead that bad and failed to do her homework. That poor baby was in for a rude awakening.

The bag was finally removed after minutes of low whispers and body movements. I scanned the room to see the crew standing in between her men. One of her men stood to the left while one of ours stood to my right.

My heart dropped when I looked up to see it was Benji. I looked at Kégo, and he smiled, then mouthed la risa ahora (laugh now). I had somethin’ for his ass.

“I finally get my hands on the muthafucka that thinks touchin’ anything of mine is okay. Christian, is it? Yeah, I did my homework. I got plans for you,” she said.

I didn’t know who the fuck she thought she was scaring but I almost erupted with laughter. It was the bravery she possessed that had me. There was no way she thought she was goin’ to inflict any type of damage on me.

“Speed this up. I haven’t seen yo’ wife in two days. I know she miss a nigga.” I taunted.

Her caramel skin went to a bright red. I felt it was safe to say I got her more than upset with my choice of words. She took a few steps toward me to be stopped by Diego.

She gave a fake smile and pushed her hair over her shoulder. I noticed women did that when they tried to gain some composure before gettin’ out of character.

“I didn’t bring you here to converse, and I damn sure didn’t bring you here to play with yo’ ass. My wife should be pullin’ up to our crib shortly, and I don’t want to keep her waiting. You, what’s your name?” She pointed to Benji.

“Benji.”

“Benji, put two in his chest and then one in the dome to be sure. I haven’t fucked my wife in weeks, and I would like to do that before the night is ova.”

Her words went in one ear and out the other. Benji stood there as if he didn’t hear a goddamn thing she said. The whole scene was comical. I was in good spirits that night or somethin’ ’cause I was amused.

“What? You hard of hearin’ or somethin’? Shoot that nigga!” she yelled.

“He don’t take orders from you, bitch.” I sat with a smirk on my face. I hoped he took the safety off because what I said next was unexpected on her end. “Benji, off this nigga to the left.”

My boy was on point and so was the rest of the crew. They dropped her men within the blink of an eye once I gave Benji his target.

It was me, her, and the gang. The look of confusion was plastered across her face nicely.

I stood loosening the ropes Sahoul fake tied. They fell to the ground, and the first thing she did was call for my brotha, who was on his way out the door.

“Kégo, do what I called you here for.” She looked to him for help.

“Bitch, you do it. I’m tipsy,” he threw back and proceeded out the door.

“You must be out yo’ rabbit ass mind if you think my brotha puttin’ anything hot in me. You want me dead so bad, you do it.”

I didn’t stop walking until my body invaded her personal space. While I was tied down, she thought she had the upper hand. Now that I was in her face, her words seemed scarce. She was in charge until she wasn’t.

She quickly looked to Diego, and he stood with his hands in his pockets and a clenched jaw. His kids weren’t to be played with, and she crossed the line.

Sahoul walked up behind Alexis, pullin’ her arms behind her. He towered over her the same as anyone else.

Her kicking and screaming did nothin’. She was moved with ease. All the yelling she did for him to let her go was ignored.

She fought both Sahoul and Benji as they tied her down to the chair. Her powerless blows didn’t faze them one bit. I watched as her bravery withered and fear took over.

“The bitch tied up now. I’m goin’ to fuckin’ piss. I think I got a bladder infection from holdin’ that shit that long.” Benji was the reason of laughter for the night.

I shook my head and stared Alexis down. Her wife was becoming a widow and free of her in one night. Too many things had happened between her and Journei, yet Alexis didn’t see she was the issue.

Kégo came through the same door Benji exited out of shortly after. Persephone, Macaria, and Melinoe pranced in behind him. Alexis then began to wiggle uncontrollably to loosen the ropes.

When the girls saw me, they ran over full speed. They had been with me for the past two days, and I could tell they enjoyed it.

“Alexis, meet Persephone, and the twins, Macaria and Melinoe. Girls, cena (dinner).” With that, they crouched down, and the growls they let off would’ve made anybody piss on themselves. “Oh, damn, my bad. I never formally introduced myself. I’m Hades.”

My smile was wide, and so was her eyes. Whatever she heard about a nigga had to start registering. She was terrified.

“Diego, please don’t let him do this. We’re like family,” she pleaded for help.

“Your keyword is like. Hades is my son, and that baby your wife is carrying is my grandchild. La familia is all I have. You fucked up by tryin’ to take it away from me. Mijo, finish up so you can get to your familia.” Diego spoke his piece and left with the crew behind him.

It was just me and Alexis left inside her warehouse. Her cries mixed in with the girls’ growls. They were about to tear her apart limb from limb.

I walked over to the table she had in the corner to retrieve a weapon of mine. Papa was so kind to sneak it in and leave it behind for me. Throwing the covering back, my bident was revealed.

Pickin’ it up, I felt like the king of the underworld once again. Evil was flowing through my veins profusely. Most of all, I was in my element of relaxation. Taking souls was relaxing to me.

The girls surrounded Alexis with Persephone taking the front position. She would do the most damage. Alexis had me fucked up thinking she could take anything from me, including my life.

“Journei was too good for you. That woman is the light in anybody’s darkness. You played with my baby like she was a gem that could be replaced. I appreciate yo’ fuckup ’cause I’m gon’ polish the fuck out that diamond. The love she wanted from you she gon’ get from me. Comer (Eat).”

My final words were praises for the woman I adored and loved. Alexis didn’t know Journei’s worth, but I did. I gave the word for the girls to gorge on Alexis’s flesh.

I took long strides toward the exit with my bident in hand. Before I opened the door, I turned around and threw it in Alexis’s direction. My aim was still on point. It hit her right between the eyes.

Persephone was the first to dive in, taking a chunk of meat off her neck. I was pleased at the moment; however, her words of Journei meeting her at their once shared house was still ringing bells.

I joined my people outside. Diego gave no one room to approach me. He hugged me as a father would his son, and I was appreciative. I loved my family and the loyalty they gave me.

“What now, bro?” Kégo asked.

I checked my phone and saw a message from Journei. After reading what she said, I was furious. “Beat my woman to that bitch’s crib. Journei ain’t seen that side ofHades, but she about to.”
