Lillian

“Come on, , we are gonna be late!” Liz yells,

“Lilly, let's go!!”

Mary yells: she has a not-so-nun-like costume, while Liz has a too-sexy-to-be-a-real cop outfit on.

“I'm coming, I'm coming,”

I yell back. Not being as fast as them, I am in a very modest, not sexy-at-all Ghost Sheet outfit because it hides who I am. It fits for someone who is never seen and hates the way her stomach looks and how her rolls hang on her. I finally reached them, breathless.

“Took ya long enough, Lills!” I smile at them. We walk up to the door, and the guy who is obviously checking Liz out asks for their IDs. They gladly hand them to him while he looks me up and down and says,

“Go on in.”

Of course, it's always like this. Me being the less-than-attractive friend... We have always been like this: my friends are the most beautiful girls on campus, the kind any guy would want to be in their arms.

Being my size, I know it's not healthy, I know I need to work harder and lose more weight, but with PCOS, it can be a bitch even to lose 2 pounds.

“Lilly, that guy over there is looking at you,”

Mary tells me. I look over and see a devil. I can't see his face with this lighting, but he seems to be tall. He smirks at us, and I roll my eyes.

“No, I think he's into you, mare.”

I look at my friend, and she rolls her eyes.

“Hey y'all made it!”

I turn around and see Jack, who looks like he could topple over with just a small tap.

“Yeah, Mary and Liz wanted to come so here we are.”

I tell him and I see a spark of mischief in his eyes.

“Well, I’m glad you came. You know that pretty lady?”

He asked me as he caressed my shoulder. I couldn’t help but feel a bit disgusted when he touched me.

“Right well I’m thirsty so.”

I told him and when I tried to walk away, he grabbed my wrist.

“Oh, come on now Lilly, don’t be like that, here have my drink.”

He hands me his cup, and I look at him and roll my eyes, not wanting to cause a scene.

“Fine”

He watches me as I am about to take a drink, almost a bit too eagerly when someone bumps into me, and I spill it all over his toga.

“Oh my god I am so sorry!”

I tell him and look for something to wipe his chest off. I looked back to see who had bumped into me and all I saw was two horns walking away.

“Nah Don’t worry about it I’ll go get cleaned up.”

He says to me and disappears.

I moved through the crowd finding the girls.

“Whoa, where did you go?”

Mary asks me and I sigh.

“I ran into Jack, and well, I spilled a drink all over him.”

The girls laughed and I couldn’t help but join them. I tell them I am going to find the drinks so we can get the real party started.

When I finally find the drinks and start to make them, I suddenly hear a deep raspy voice next to me,

“You know, against people's better judgment, ghost sheets are underrated.”

The familiar voice makes me turn around and I see the man I had bumped into, except now I can get a good look at him.

He has broad shoulders and is probably about 6’4 I can see his hair and it is definitely dark like a raven's wing and shiny too.

I want to reach out and run my fingers through it and kiss- What am I thinking! I shake my head and am thankful for this sheet hiding my blush I know is on my cheeks,

“It’s you!”

I say and he smiles, as if he was waiting for me to connect the dots.

“How's your knee, I know you fell pretty hard.”

“Oh, it's ok!”

I tell him and he nods, I look back to the drinks I’m making when he says something to me.

“So ghostie, I didn’t catch your name earlier, I’m Adonis.”

He says reaching out a hand and I look down at it, as he tries to charm his way into getting my name.

“Hm, why do you want to know my name?”

I asked him, surely, he heard it when Jack had called me.

“Maybe I wanted to know the name of the princess I ran into earlier.”

I shoot him a look, with a bit of a scowl. Was he being honest or was he just toying with me?

“Look, I'm sure you would much rather be interested in my friends than me. They are more your league.”

I say to him, I’m sure that's what he wants, is their attention.

“My league?”

He says and I look up into his eyes.

“What is my league exactly?”

He says to me, and I can feel him get closer to me, and I become more aware of how close he actually is.

“You know the attractive people League, the models and cheerleaders and the all-American boy leagues.”

I told him with a smirk. He catches me by surprise when he comes even closer and lowers himself, so his cheek grazes mine. He then brings his lips to my ear and says,

“Hate to tell you this ghostie but I’m not over there talking to them now, am I?”

His warm breath sends shivers down my spine, he backs away a bit so I can look into his eyes, and they are dark jade now, his eyes are searching for something but what?

“So ghostie can I get your name?”

I sigh.

“You just don’t give up do you?”

“Nope never have in my life.”

“And you won’t just let it go?”

“Never.”

He says with a smile, and I can’t help but chuckle.

“I’m , Han. My friends call my Lilly.”

I say as I extend my hand out from under the sheet. He reaches for it and the moment we connect I feel a jolt of electricity surge through me. His hands have calluses but are warm and strong.

“Lilly, I like it.”

I take my hand back and roll my eyes.

“I said my friends call me Lilly.”

“What are we not friends?”

“No, we are not.”

“Oh, come on,”

He says and I chuckle as he almost hits his head on an open cabinet.

“God you are insufferable.”

He smirks at me, and I roll my eyes.

“Well, it was nice meeting you Adonis.”

I say and pick up the drink to head back to the girls.

“Here let me help you with those.”

He says and takes two of the drinks from me. When he does, our hands graze each other, and I feel another jolt of electricity.

“Oh, thank you.”
