Chapter 10 Gavin

GAVIN

Sluggishly, Gavin’s eyes began to open.

He wasn’t sure where exactly he was, but he didn’t have an overwhelming sense of panic or danger, so he was pretty sure wherever he was, he was fine and safe.

Slowly, the warm surface beneath him began to rise and fall.

Gavin froze.

He was cuddled up against someone.

His eyes shifted and then quickly fixed on the black ink carved into the chest he had his head resting on.

The body was warm and firm and offered just the right amount of comfort and support that led to one of the best nights’ sleep Gavin had ever enjoyed.

Swallowing hard, Gavin’s eyes slid farther down, moving across Marcus’s chest, and down to his perfectly sculpted abs.

Jesus, the man was in his late thirties yet rocked the bod of a fucking Norse god.

The man was definitely not a stranger to the gym. And judging by those biceps… my god!

Licking his lips, Gavin continued his visual exploration of the biker god beneath him.

Gavin’s eyes went wide.

Holy. Shit.

Pointing straight up at his face was one of the biggest dicks he had ever seen!

Well, not exactly a dick. But the shape of a dick, safely tucked behind a layer of fabric.

Thank god, because if that dick had been out in the open, staring angrily up at him, he might have had to defend himself by attacking and biting that fucking head off. Okay, perhaps not bite, but swallow. Long and deep. And as sloppily as humanly possible.

Like seriously? What fucking man is allowed to have a fucking dick that big and that thick?

Weren’t there rules against this sort of thing?

Like, nobody outside of porn is allowed to carry such a big and lethal weapon.

How were gay boys supposed to go about living their lives, knowing that a monster like that existed? And that it was attached to one of the most growly, sexy, hot dudes he had ever laid eyes on.

No. Seriously. It wasn’t fair.

What the hell was in the water in Baton, New Mexico, that allowed a monster like that to grow on a man so sexy?

Swallowing hard, Gavin wasn’t sure if he would ever be the same.

Knowing that something like that existed, and on a man he was sharing a house with? And now, sharing a bed with?

Gavin felt his dick begin to grow.

Great. Now his cock wanted in on the action.

No. He was just going to lie here, quiet as a mouse, silently giving worship to the eighth greatest wonder of the world.

Beep!

Gavin and the man beneath him both startled.

Marcus let out a groan as he extended his arm and picked up his cell phone from the bedside table.

Fucking technology.

“Ello?” Marcus whispered, still half asleep and unaware of the worshipper currently attached to his chest.

Gavin lay there, trying not to move or make himself known. He wondered how long he could lie there before the grisly giant beneath him realized that something needy was attached to his body.

It didn’t take long.

He felt the body beneath him shift as Marcus lifted his head to see what was clinging to him.

“What? Come again?” Marcus asked, his voice becoming clearer the more awake he became. “Oh, really. He said that?”

Gavin grimaced when a big, meaty paw landed on his shoulder, pulling him away from his warm, comfortable pillow.

Swinging his legs over the bed, Marcus stood, then turned as if looking for something on the floor.

Smiling, Gavin wondered how long it would take for Marcus to realize that the reason he couldn’t find whatever it was he was looking for was probably because his massive monster dick boner was most likely blocking his view.

Marcus glanced down, finally noticing the solid rod in his underwear. He adjusted himself, gripping it firmly as he moved it to the side. Then he looked up at Gavin, who was staring at him like a hungry gazelle.

“Seems like we’re going to have to teach this punk a lesson,” Marcus said into the phone. He bent down and retrieved his jeans before glancing over at Gavin once more. He didn’t make any effort at covering up his morning wood. “Tell Nikolai to bring his babies and pick me up in thirty.”

He ended the call, then tossed his phone onto the bed.

“Blade and Ace are going to babysit you today at the bar. I have… things to do,” Marcus said, carrying his jeans as he headed toward his en suite bathroom.

Gavin let out a breath when he heard the shower start running.

He lay there, staring up at the ceiling, wishing he was in that shower, soaping up every inch of that man’s gorgeous body.

Fuck. He needed a good dicking.

“So how are things going?” Ace asked as he passed Gavin a cosmopolitan and took a seat on the other side of the booth.

He took a sip of his chocolate martini, then rolled his eyes as he appeared to have a mouth-gasm.

“God, Alexis makes the most amazing drinks.”

Gavin took a sip of his drink and had to agree with his new best friend’s assessment.

“So?” Ace asked again, tapping Gavin on the forearm. “How are things going?”

He wasn’t really sure what to say. He was just getting to know Ace and didn’t exactly want to come across as some pathetic loser who was afraid of his own shadow. But the truth was that he was terrified the Valentine Killer might come after him.

“I don’t know. Fine, I guess.”

Ace didn’t like that answer. He reached across the table and took his hand.

“You know, it’s okay to be low-key freaking out.

You survived something traumatic, and no one is expecting you to be alright in the head.

Trust me, we all have our fair share of trauma and fucked-up stories.

Blade’s father tried to kill him, Nikolai and his boyfriend were sex trafficked, and I’ve been battling abandonment issues since I was three. ” Ace let out a chuckle.

Gavin stared at the drink before him. Ace had a point. Every person had demons they wished they didn’t. His just happened to be new.

“Well, to be honest, I’m having trouble sleeping.” Ace nodded his head. “Every time I close my eyes, I keep seeing that psycho’s face smiling at me.”

Ace squeezed his hand. He was just like his brother, caring and compassionate, yet able to stand his ground when needed.

“Thankfully, I have your brother around. Whenever I’m with him, I always feel so safe and protected.

It’s like I don’t need to constantly be looking over my shoulder.

I know he won’t let anything bad happen to me.

” Gavin could feel himself smile. Just the thought of Marcus made him feel all warm and tingly.

“That’s my big bro for you. Always the protector. Always the caregiver.”

“So, what was it like growing up with Marcus? You said he is your stepbrother?”

“Yeah, he’s technically my stepbrother, but we don’t think of each other like that.

We’re true brothers in every sense. Our parents were horrible.

They preferred drinking and partying, and often forgot that they had kids.

It was Marcus who took care of me. He always made sure I had clean clothes for school, ate, and did my homework.

He even protected me from bullies who tried to mess with me. ”

“Guess he’s been a protector his whole life.”

Ace nodded. “Yeah, I think he loves taking care of people. I know he comes across as all manly and macho, but that’s just a role he plays. Deep down, he cares about people and often puts his own needs second.”

Placing his martini down on the table, Ace looked around as if to see who might be listening.

“Marcus doesn’t know that I know this, but when I was fourteen, I got mono and had to stay indoors for the whole goddamn summer.

Marcus spent every day inside, playing video games and watching movies with me.

What he didn’t tell me was that he turned down a two-week ride across America with a bunch of the guys from the Shadow Vipers.

They had been planning the ride for weeks, but when I got sick, he decided not to go.

I found out about the trip years later, when Caden let it slip that Marcus had canceled his trip to be there for me. That is the kind of man my brother is.”

With each story that Gavin heard, his knight in shining armor became more attractive.

“Yeah, I can see how special your brother really is.”

They both continued drinking and sharing stories for the remainder of the afternoon.
