20. Colt
Chapter 20
Colt
T he drive back from Jasper takes longer than I thought it would. I had immersed myself in the job, feeling like we finally had a leg up on the situation because I found him.
Lukas Deveroix has been staying in the pool house of a distant relative on his mother’s side. During the daylight hours, he appears to be a doting, kind gentleman. But once the sun goes down, a woman sneaks in. And not just any woman, the mayor’s daughter. I grabbed my surveillance photos and snapped a few extra of his precious daughter going in and out, just in case we need to sway the mayor to our side.
It's almost three in the morning by the time I let myself in to my house. Zane meets me at the door, yawning, before he fills me in on what I missed. Which isn’t much except that he and Lyric started to make peace and that she cried when she saw the flowers I left her. My chest tightens, hoping that it means she is feeling the same things for me that I am for her. He leaves right after, swearing he’s fine to drive.
Not wanting to wake her up, I flop on the couch and grab the nearest blanket. Tomorrow I’ll get the club involved to set up the next part of my plan. Deveroix’s time is running out. I need a strong alibi in case he’s found out more than he should about me, and the town that Lyric has run off too. There is no room for error. I refuse to leave Lyric behind ever again; therefore, jail isn’t an option and neither is death.
Sunlight brightens the room the next time I open my eyes, and I find myself horizontal on the couch, my feet propped up and one of the many throw blankets covering my body. I’m not sure when I passed out when I got home, but I know I hadn’t been this comfortable. Smiling, I get to my feet and reach for my phone that is conveniently on the table next to me. Noticing it's half past ten, I make my way to the kitchen.
“Morning, handsome,” her sweet, velvety voice calls to me from the open pantry door. Lyric is a sight for hungry eyes. She looks fucking delicious in her light pink sleep shirt and matching shorts. Shorts that are so short they make her legs look miles long. Her hair is on top of her head in a messy bun, but it gives her the overall appearance of the frosting on top of a cupcake. A cupcake I want very much to sink my teeth into and devour.
It's only been twenty-four hours since I last saw her in front of me, but every moment away feels like an eternity. The whole time I watched Deveroix, I held back from just taking him out right then. He doesn’t deserve to take another breath for the horrible things he has done and for the fear and pain he has caused Lyric. I had to talk myself down from exposing myself just to get a clean shot. I imagined his blood pouring out of him for hours while I sat and watched every nefarious thing he did. I found him. I saw him. And all I wanted was to be home with her, to double-check, to make sure she was safe.
“Colt?” My name is hesitant on her tongue, and I shake my head at the murderous cloud I was in. She steps closer to me, and instantly I feel tension leak from my muscles. The anxious feeling in my chest lessens when her hands run up my abdomen, over my chest, and when she wraps her arms around my neck, pushing her body into mine. “I missed you.”
My knees buckle and I stumble for a second before clutching her tighter to me. “Fuck, baby, I missed you too.”
She tilts her head back and I slam my mouth down on hers. She tastes as sweet as she looks, like fruit and sugar. She smells like vanilla and a hint of wild flowers. I need to feel her, all of her, to know she is real and that she is still here. My hands move to the ends of her shirt and tug it off over her head. Her breasts tumble out and I groan at the sight, lifting them and squeezing them together. She whimpers, and her hands grip my arms when I softly roll her perfect pink nipples around with my thumbs until they’re hard peaks.
“Please,” she sobs, her head tilting back in invitation. My mouth descends onto her creamy flesh and licks a long line down her chest until my tongue circles her nipple before sucking and biting the rosy tip.
“Oh, god, Colt.”
My name falls from her lips and her fingers wind through my hair, holding me tightly against her. Groaning, I switch sides, giving her other breast the same torment with my tongue and teeth. Her hips shove forward and I grind my pelvis back into her. I wonder if she’s wet, if she’s soaked for me.
“Fuck, I need more,” I moan, tearing my mouth from her breast and placing kisses on her neck and shoulders, while my fingers hook in her shorts and panties, yanking them down her legs. She steps out of them, eagerly assisting, not caring that she’s completely naked in front of me. My eyes eat up every inch of her skin on display. I need to taste her.
Lyric gasps when I grab her hips and lift, placing her on the edge of the counter. Her eyes are hooded and my hand wraps around the back of her neck, bringing her into my kiss. She opens her mouth for me and her tongue strokes mine. My hands grasp her thighs pushing them apart.
“Yes, please, Colt.”
“You need me to make you feel good, baby?” I trail my mouth down her neck before softly biting her pulse point there. Her body jolts in my hold and her little pants get needier. “I want your words, Lyric. Tell me you want my tongue in that pretty cunt.”
“Yes. I need you,” Her hands grip my shoulders, her hips lifting from the countertop looking for relief. “Please.”
I can’t wait any longer. I lean over her, and her body falls back against the counter to make room for me between her legs. Pushing my nose against her pussy, I breathe deeply. It's only been hours since I’ve seen her. A mere two days since I fucked her last and I need her more than I need my next meal. Fuck, she is my meal. Growling, I turn my head and bite the inside of her thigh, loving how she cries out, and one of her hands lands on my head, grasping my hair. I smirk against her sensitive skin and place open-mouthed kisses, teasing her with my tongue at her entrance.
“I’m going to eat this fucking perfect pussy, baby. It's mine. You’re mine.” Bending, I slowly lick up her slit, needing to taste every single inch of her. Her little moans and gasps echo in the quiet space. She cries out again when I push her legs farther apart, spreading her out before me and circling her clit with my tongue.
“So fucking mine,” I growl and suck her little clit into my mouth. Her hips thrust toward me, needy for more.
“Yes, yours.”
Her words spur me on and soon I’m sliding two fingers through her wetness before slowly pushing them inside her. Lyric groans and her other hand grips the edge of the counter as I thrust them in and out of her tight hole, my tongue sucking and feasting on her clit. I’m obsessed with her taste, of the noises coming from her lips, and of the absolute mess she’s creating under herself on the counter where I feed her dinner. I want to beat my chest, knowing I make her lose her mind and not to care that she’s spread out for me, naked, while I’m fully clothed and enjoying her like a buffet. I was born to eat her pussy and I love it. Nothing tastes better than Lyric.
I can feel her greedy cunt clamping down on my fingers, practically sucking them in. She’s getting close and I want her to come. I want her juices running down my throat, on my lips, and clinging to my chin.
“That's it, baby,” I tell her, stroking her clit again with my tongue. “Give it to me.”
My fingers turn and hook up, making sure to massage that sensitive place inside her. Her hips thrust against my face harder, and I know she’ll have marks from my facial hair on her inner thighs for days.
“Yes, yes, yes,” she chants after I push her into her orgasm, her little body riding out the waves against my tongue and lips. She’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever fucking seen in my life with her hair messy, her skin flushed pink, and wearing patches of red from the bites I gave her skin. Lyric is a damn miracle and I feel nothing but triumph that I made her come that hard.
Her legs fall to the sides, still shaking. I stand and wrap her body in my arms, cradling her while her heartbeats even out. Lyric clings to me the whole time. I pull back only a fraction to take my T-shirt off and place it over her head, pulling it down her body, when I see her skin pebbled from the chilled air. She leans forward and places a kiss on my jaw, her eyes blinking up at me.
“I was supposed to make you breakfast,” she jokes, and her voice sounds raspy.
My fingers brush her loose hair off her face, and I smirk at her. “You did feed me, baby.”
Her hand smacks my chest, but she’s smiling. “Don’t be cute. For real. You got home late. You need to eat and get some rest today, Street.”
My eyes meet her baby blues and I see the warmth and concern in them. I know she was the one that made sure I was comfortable on the couch. Something in my chest aches and pulls, filling with emotions I only feel when I’m with her. I wish we were just having a lazy day and that all we had to do was lounge on the couch, maybe take a ride up the scenic trail. I want nothing more than to have that sense of family and peace, a home with Lyric. I’d let her make me breakfast, I’d feed her dinner, and laugh with her every night.
I have to tell her about Deveroix. That I found him, that he’s closer than I want him to be. Planning with my club needs to take place to execute him, so Lyric never has to worry anymore. So Stella and her baby never have to worry that he’s going to find them. There are so many plans and things that need to get done, and I’m caving to the soft eyes and the yearning to be cared for by Lyric. The woman I want but that I don’t deserve. Never in this lifetime will I be able to make up for what I did to her back then, but I’ve never been more determined to try.
Leaning forward, I kiss her gently, and her eyes widen in surprise, a small smile on her lips. “Okay, baby.” I help her off the counter and when she bends to retrieve her panties and shorts, I slap her ass cheek.
Lyric jumps and a little scream escapes before she starts laughing. “Colt!”
I hold my hands up in surrender, not even sorry about it, and the way her ass cheek jiggled made me hard all over again. “Not even sorry, Lyric.”
“Just go do something,” she tells me, shooing me from the kitchen.
“I’m going. Start making my breakfast, woman.” I wink at her and she scoffs, still with a beautiful smile on her face.
My legs collapse back on the couch and I grab my phone. I need the day with my girl. Tonight, I’ll gather my brothers and detail out the plan. Tomorrow, I’ll break the news to Lyric. As much as I want to keep her in the dark, I know she won’t accept it. She’ll be pissed as hell if she doesn’t know what is happening. I’ll tell her as much as I can, but not enough to ever put her in danger. I won’t lie to her about what I’m doing or where I’m going, but she will be staying here where my club can protect her. Deveroix is a creature of habit, and as much as he wants my girl to pay, he won’t act unless he thinks he can win. And right now, he’s operating in the dark, not knowing where she is. I want him to feel reckless so he fucks up. That will be the easiest way for me to get in quietly and take him down. Everything is coming to an end very soon.
