“Come on now, Jc. I’d hate to have to drill into another tooth.” I say humorously. I managed to knock him out at Isola Bella and get him back to my house where he’s now strapped to the dining room table. I’ve been questioning him for hours with no luck.

“I don’t fucking know where she is, man.” He cries. Maybe I believe him, maybe I don’t. The fact is, someone knows something. Anyone who worked for Conejo will pay the price for what happened to my family and what happened to my men who were like family to me. Whoever has Rowan– they’re in for much worse. My brother and my father knew the risks involved with business like this, but Rowan– she’s innocent. She wanted nothing to do with this life.

Just as I’m ready to drill into another one of Jc’s teeth, his phone chimes with a text notification. “Saved by the bell.” I say, walking over to his phone .

Austin: I got into the street cams. She’s at Siracusa bus station. Get there ASAP. She’s alone.

She’s alone. She’s on the run– from me. After everything I fucking went through. After I told her I love her. She thought I was manipulative? The fucked up part is, she got me to trust her. I’m going to make this fun. If she thought I was a monster before, she hasn’t seen anything yet.

I shove a dish rag into Jc’s mouth before grabbing my keys and heading out. My tires screech as I speed out of the driveway, gripping the steering wheel until my knuckles are white. She’s definitely Frank’s daughter, no mistake there. Manipulative fucking liar. Every moment I spent with her I was falling in love with a character she was playing. I was right from the start, the thought of her is better than the reality. My foot presses down harder on the accelerator, anger flooding every limb on my body. As I pull up to the train station, I catch a glimpse of Rowan’s white dress. I need to figure out a way to get her to come around to the parking lot. I spot a group of teenage boys. The solution to my problem .

I approach them and pull out a stack of cash. “This is yours if you guys can pretend to fight in the parking lot.” I say in Italian, my voice low. They stare at me with wide eyes and nod to me. “Great, cause a scene.” I tell them, handing over the cash .

The boys run to the parking lot and three of them start pretending to jump their friend. Almost immediately, a crowd forms around them. Some recording and some trying to break it up. I take the opportunity to sneak up behind Rowan and jab the needle of a syringe into her neck. It has M-99 in it, so she passes out right away. I wrap her arm around my neck and walk her over to the car, trying my best to not look suspicious but fortunately for me, everyone is too focused on the fake fight going on. I secure her hands and feet together with zip ties and drive off. Let the fun begin.
