84. Rosalie
EIGHTY-FOUR
ROSALIE
I kissed Ethan gently on the cheek, slid out from beneath his arm, and used Cole’s bathroom. After I brushed my teeth with the toothbrush I kept in there and did my business, I pulled his robe on as I left, pausing to look at my sweet baby Ethan really quickly.
He was so concerned about us, but everything was good. I wasn’t leaving. He would be OK.
I went downstairs to find Cole staring out the living room window in sweatpants and without a shirt, his muscles on display.
I hesitated in the doorway, taking in how handsome he looked. His blond hair was a wild mess. He held Cotton in his arms, speaking softly as he pointed out the birds through the window.
I smiled. Cole really would make a good dad someday.
When Ethan and I had been together last night, I hadn’t paid Cole as much attention as I wanted to because I knew Ethan was far more sensitive. He needed me more than Cole did.
I stepped forward, making the floorboard squeak. Cole’s attention snapped to me, his blue eyes wide. Carefully, he put Cotton down and walked purposefully toward me.
“Hey, Rosebud,” he greeted me, taking me by the chin. “How’s my girl?” He brushed his soft lips against mine.
“Good.” I kissed him back. “I’m sorry about last night.”
“Don’t be.” He kissed me again. “Enzo jerked me off in the shower, so I still got to come.”
I blinked up at him. “He did?”
“Mhm,” he answered, kissing me again. “Do you like that?”
I actually did. It turned me on when the guys kissed and touched one another. I always thought Enzo and Cole would be the ones to crack and do it for me finally.
“I do. I wish I could have watched,” I replied.
“Fuck, Rosebud. Me too, baby.” He hugged me tightly against his body.
We were both silent as we held one another.
“I want to take you out today. Will you come with me?” he asked.
“Where will we go?” I looked up at him.
“I was thinking we could do some shopping. Have some food. Just relax together for the day. I promise to bring my phone and let the guys know, too.”
I smiled. “I’d really like that.”
He blew out a breath, a grin spreading across his handsome face.
“Go get ready. As much as I love seeing you in my robe, I need you fully clothed for this. At least for now.” He winked and pulled away from me.
I couldn’t keep the smile off my face, so I rushed back upstairs and dressed quickly and quietly, trying not to wake anyone. I grabbed my purse and phone and returned downstairs to find Cole ready, wearing a black button-down and a pair of jeans.
I kissed Cotton goodbye and followed Cole out to his car. He opened my door for me before getting behind the wheel. We pulled out of the garage and went silently to the main road.
Once we were fully off the property, it seemed like we both sighed in relief.
“How have you been?” Cole finally asked. “We’ve been worried sick.”
“I’m OK. And before you reprimand me, I’m not going anywhere, and I won’t do that again.”
He made a left turn before glancing at me. “I wasn’t going to reprimand you. I know I’m always on your shit, but I’m working on that, OK? I’m just glad you’re home and that you’re safe.” He reached over and squeezed my bare thigh. “I love this dress, by the way.”
“You bought it for me,” I said, smiling at him.
He chuckled. “I know. I don’t think I like your tits showing so much, though. Not because I’m not enjoying the spectacular view, but I don’t want other motherfuckers looking at you. You’re all mine, baby.”
“No one will look.” I laughed him off.
“You don’t know guys. I bought that dress for you to wear around me. I guess I should have specified.”
“So you want me to take it off?”
He let out a loud laugh. “Fuck yes, I do, but we’ll do that later.”
He squeezed my thigh again, this time his hand higher and way more possessive than before. We rode in comfortable silence the rest of the way.
When we reached our destination, Cole parked and helped me out of the car before twining his fingers with mine.
“I wish we could do this more,” he said wistfully as we walked down the sidewalk. “It feels like we went from high school to the fucking mafia.”
I looked over at him. Cole never talked about this stuff. He always seemed happy with our life, but the way he said that made me think he had other thoughts.
“Don’t you love our life?”
“I love you ,” he answered, leading me into an alleyway.
“You’re deflecting.”
He sighed and put me against the alley wall before he brushed a curl away from my face.
“I don’t think any of us expected our lives to be how they are, but we’re here, so we make the best of it.”
“But this isn’t what you wanted.”
“No. I guess it’s not. I figured I’d end up being a doctor. Saving lives and all that shit. Now I just kill people and make a shit ton of money. And my girl keeps trying to get away.”
I frowned at him as he stared down at me.
“Cole—”
“You’re never fucking leaving me again, Rosalie,” he said fiercely, his entire demeanor shifting.
He cradled my face, his lips a breath from mine.
“If you try to run again, I seriously will kill every motherfucker who got the pleasure of trying to help you. Nothing will stop me from doing it. You vowed yourself to us. The ring on my finger was a promise from you. I take promises very fucking seriously. Just like our baby. You promised me one, and I swear I will put one in you someday.” He leaned in, his lips at my ear.
“If you tell me no, I’m going to hold you down and do it anyway because a promise is a promise and you don’t break a promise to me. ”
I shivered against him.
“My love for you is unhinged, Rosebud,” he whispered, his fingers curling around my throat and squeezing. “I would kill us both if it meant I got an eternity with you and it kept you from another man who wasn’t one of us.”
He nipped at my earlobe. I closed my eyes and breathed out as he continued to tighten his hand around my throat slowly. I knew better than to fight him. Cole lived for the fight.
“Would you do anything for me, baby?”
I nodded, my breathing fast.
“Say it. Tell me you would.”
“Y-Yes.”
“Mm, good, because I have a request.”
I let out a shaky, fast breath, praying he wouldn’t tell me to stop being friends with Anson.
“Move the wedding and engagement party up. Stop prolonging the inevitable. When we get home, you go to Enzo and tell him you want to move the dates. He’s been working so fucking hard to put this together for you.
Show us all how much you want to make this last forever.
It’ll help soothe the wound you dug into my soul when you left without a fucking word,” his voice shook, his hold on me tight. “Promise me, Rosalie.”
His request wasn’t at all what I thought it would be. Since I decided to give up my career and stay, it made sense to get the engagement party and wedding done. I loved my guys, and this would keep us together.
Fox’s words from last night flashed through my mind. He’d stay if I stayed. I knew he would. I wanted us all together.
“I promise,” I said softly. “I’ll move the dates.”
Cole crushed his mouth against mine. I parted my lips for him as he took the lead, his tongue tangling with mine.
He was quick to get his hand beneath my skirt and thrust two fingers deep inside my pussy.
I cried out against his lips at his sudden rough intrusion, but that only made him kiss me deeper.
“C-Cole. Stop. Someone could see?—”
“Perfect.”
“But Fox and me…”
“I don’t give a shit about that,” he said fiercely, lifting me and pulling his dick out. “Do you think I give a fuck if the world knows you belong to all of us?” He shoved deep inside me, making me cry out against his neck as I clung to him. “I don’t fucking care, Rosebud. I just don’t.”
He thrust upward into me, our breathing heavy as he fucked me feet from a busy sidewalk. Anyone who looked down the alley would see him buried inside me.
“P-Please hurry,” I choked out. “I don’t want to be seen.”
Cole let out a snarl and pulled out of me. I cried out as he put me on all fours and buried himself into me from behind. Roughly, he tugged me up to my knees, my back against his chest, his hand around my throat.
“Look,” he husked into my ear. “Watch them walk past us while I fuck you.”
I stared at all the people walking by, my heart pounding hard. No one seemed to be looking at us, but that didn’t stop my panic.
Cole reached out with his other hand and pulled one of my breasts out.
“I love fucking you like this. You’re so scared,” he said breathlessly as he continued to fuck into my body. “You’re shaking so hard, baby.”
“Please. Can’t we just go to the c-car—” I tried to pull my top up, but he let out a snarl and shoved my hand away, forcing me to stay uncovered.
“I want these motherfuckers to see you belong to me. To want you and to know they can’t have you. You feel how hard my cock is inside your little pussy, baby? They only fucking wish they could have this sweet cunt like I have it.”
“Cole, please…”
“Close your eyes,” he rasped in my ear. “Close them, and all the people you’re scared of go away.”
I squeezed my eyelids together tightly as my release began to tease me.
Cole slammed into me harder and faster. He held me against his body as he worked me over, and within moments, I was coming. He clamped his hand over my mouth, stifling the cry.
“That sound is just for me, baby. Just for me. Shh. Shh. You’re coming so pretty for me. That’s it, Rosebud. Fuck, you’re making such a perfect mess.”
He came with me, his feral groan in my ear before he bit hard against my shoulder. I tried to cry out, but he still had his hand over my mouth, muffling my noises.
His chest heaved against my back as his movements slowed to a stop.
“And just like your moans are only for me, mine are only for you,” he whispered before pulling free of my body and doing up his pants.
I quickly pulled my top up. Cole reached out and brought me back to my feet before putting me against the brick wall once more.
He cradled my face and forced me to look up at him.
“I fucking love you, Rosalie. If Enzo weren’t marrying you, you know it would be me.
I’d have to fight Fox for it, but fucking bet I would.
You’re my girl. The only fucking woman I will ever love.
I promise you that. That is my vow to you.
There will never be another one. You’re it for me.
Tell me we’re it for you. No one else. Promise me you’ll never let another fucking dick into your body.
That you will never love another man. Swear it to me. It’s just us.”
I stared into his wild blue eyes before nodding.
“Only my horsemen.”
“Ah, fuck,” he groaned before crushing his lips to mine again. “I love you. I fucking love you, baby.” He pulled away and rested his forehead against mine. “Mine. All fucking mine. Forever.”
I swallowed hard, my fingers twisting in his shirt. His body shook, and it took me a moment to realize he was crying.
“Cole,” I whispered. “Hey.”
I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me. Tears streamed down his cheeks.
“I love you. I’m a fucking monster, baby.
I’m sorry. I don’t want to be, but I don’t know how to be something better for you.
I shouldn’t have fucked you like this. It wasn’t right.
I get inside my head and shit just gets so fucked up.
I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry . I-I mean it all, though.
Every goddamn word. Every promise. Even though I know you love Anson, I will kill him.
I will fucking kill him if he touches you.
If you ever leave us for him. I will kill him, and I know that I will make you watch me do it.
I know my monster. I’m fucked in the head.
So sick. So sick . Please don’t make me do it.
Don’t… I-I don’t want to hurt you. I fucking don’t.
” His bottom lip wobbled as he stared down at me.
“I would give you anything in this world you wanted, but I will never give you him. Fucking never .”
He visibly swallowed, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
“Do you still love me, Rosebud?”
“I will always love you,” I whispered, my heart aching. “Always, Cole.”
“Do you swear it?”
“Yes, I swear it.”
He slammed his lips against mine, kissing me hard and deep, the saltiness from his tears on my taste buds. He broke the kiss off, leaving me breathless.
“Take off your panties.”
I blinked at him for a moment before removing them. They were soaked anyway since he’d only shoved them aside when he fucked me.
He took them from me and instructed me to part my legs. I did so, letting him sweep the panties along my pussy so he could clean me.
“I don’t want you to be uncomfortable with me dripping out of you all day. While I love the idea of my come on your thighs, I know it will bother you,” he mumbled, taking the wet panties and stuffing them into his pocket. “That’s personal growth, right?”
“Yeah.” I smiled at him.
His lips quirked at the corners. “I’ll buy you new panties, too. It’ll be a good day.”
“The best day,” I said, hugging him tightly.
I didn’t want him to see me cry, so I buried my face in his chest and clung to him.
He held me for a long time. I think he knew I was crying and didn’t want to feel the pain of knowing he was right about Anson.
He was letting me cry it out against him, and I was sure he also shed tears.
When I felt confident enough that I was done, I pulled away from him and smiled.
He reached out and thumbed a rogue tear off my cheek.
“Come on, Rosebud. Let’s go have a good day, OK?”
I nodded wordlessly, letting him take my hand and lead me back to the sidewalk.
Here was to a good day.
