Prologue
Alex Rose has agreed to play Callum O’Leary’s game: win seven challenges of his choosing and walk away with a million dollars. Twenty-nine women have tried before her. None have won.
The catch? Every time Alex loses a game, she has to submit to one of Callum’s punishments. His punishments escalate, which is why no woman has ever won Callum’s game.
Callum doesn’t expect any woman to win, let alone Alex.
His desires are dark and twisted, which is why he plays these games.
As a self-made millionaire, Callum doesn’t need to entice women to go out with him.
They already throw themselves at him. He plays these games though, because it’s the only way for him to really get what he wants.
Which is to push women to their breaking points.
Alex has won six games so far.
One more win, and the million dollars is hers.
But after everything that’s happened between them — the betrayal, the punishments, what they did at the church the other day — winning isn’t as simple as it once was.
Alex has fallen for Callum. She thinks he’s fallen for her too. He even said I love you the other day while they were having sex... But men say all kinds of crazy things during sex.
It doesn’t necessarily mean he meant it… right?
Or does it?
The next game is Liar’s Dice.
It’s a game of probability, deception, and reading the other person. Three things Alex and Callum are both very good at.
If Alex wins this game, though, the million dollars is hers. And the game is over.
But if the game is over, what happens to her and Callum?
And more importantly… are either of them ready to find out?
