Chapter 76
In the picture, he was sitting on the lawn at Rose Villa, surrounded by a sea of fiery roses.
He wore a white shirt, his exquisite and handsome face framed by a pair of gold–rimmed glasses.
He was looking down at the computer in front of him, and the light fell perfectly on him.
When she had seen that scene, her heart skipped a beat in a fleeting moment of admiration.
She couldn't resist and quickly took a photo.
Her eyelashes fluttered, and she immediately said, "I don't remember."
She reached for the camera to delete the photo.
"Don't delete it."
Henry's voice was commanding and firm.
Victoria raised her eyes. "Why?"
Henry's tone remained cold as he replied, "Did you get my permission before taking that photo?"
"That's why I'm deleting it."
"Delete it only after I give you permission," Henry said, his words taking an unexpected turn. "If you dare delete it, your identity as 'Vika' will be over."
"Henry , you..."
Victoria looked at him in disbelief, feeling even more confused!
She thought, "What is he doing?
Is he really threatening my career just to keep a photo?
This shameless man has completely lost it!"
Henry looked down at the photo again, his emotions hard to describe. The picture had been taken two years ago.
He had never expected she had actually secretly taken a photo of him.
A faint pleasure spread through his heart, and the coldness around him seemed to dissipate a little.
He handed the camera back to her. "Once you're rested, get back to work."
Victoria pursed her lips, giving him a complicated look. She really didn't understand!
Tina went to inform Sarah, and when she returned, she had a confused expression on her face.
"What happened?" Victoria glanced at her, puzzled.
Tina pushed her glasses up and said, "I'm not sure how to put this."
Victoria smiled. "Just say whatever you're thinking."
Tina cautiously looked around to make sure no one was nearby and then leaned in close to Victoria, whispering, "Does your husband like you, or does he like Sarah?"
Victoria stared at her, utterly baffled. "How did you figure out that he likes me?"
Tina blinked and replied, "If he didn't like you, why would he look so happy when he saw the photos in your camera?"
Victoria was a little taken aback.
"You must have misunderstood."
Victoria spoke calmly. "He's simply enjoying seeing me uncomfortable."
After a pause, she added, "And Sarah is the one he's always cared about."
Tina covered her mouth, her eyes filled with disbelief. "Really?"
Victoria responded with little emotion, a simple affirmation.
When she first saw the photo, she also had been in disbelief. As cold–hearted as Henry would have kept someone in his heart for so many years.
While she was shocked, a sense of jealousy began to rise within her.
Perhaps it was because she had been by his side for five years and yet hadn't left any trace in his heart.
Tina, however, remarked, "But it doesn't look that way to me."
"Stop overthinking it. Let's get to work."
Victoria interrupted her thoughts, as Sarah had already come back out.
Henry and Jude were sitting on chairs not far away, watching the scene unfold.
It seemed that, with Henry present, Sarah became more cooperative.
Once Victoria started working, she became incredibly focused. Her delicate and beautiful face showed no unnecessary expressions, and her clear eyes radiated nothing but focus while continuously giving her instructions.
Henry observed this whole scene; his lips pressed into a straight line. Ever since Victoria lost her memory, it was like opening a mystery box. Each time, she surprised him with something unexpected.
After five years of marriage, he had never known that his gentle and obedient wife was, in fact, the renowned photographer, Vika.
But when he thought about it carefully, he realized that he hadn't really paid much attention to her.
Since that incident five years ago, he had never even looked into her background. He had simply married her without question.
Now, though, his curiosity about her had grown.
It wasn't just Henry's attention that was on Victoria. Jude was also staring at her intently, his bright eyes filled with admiration!
In Jude's mind, she had once been nothing more than a stay–at–home mom with no special talents. But now, she radiated a unique charm. She could take photographs, and she was amazing at it!
So, his mom was that incredible!
He realized that he had misunderstood her in the past.
But she had never mentioned it. He had just assumed she was just a stay-at-home mom.
Jude felt a pang of anger. Not only had she been kind to other children, but she had also kept this hidden.
His face darkened with frustration, and his little fists clenched in a tight ball.
Two pairs of eyes were fixed on Victoria and she could feel their gaze. But she wasn't bothered. She had no intention of wondering why they were looking at her.
The work at hand was her only priority.
As this scene unfolded before Sarah, a surge of jealousy flooded her heart!
She thought to herself, "How could this be?
Henry's been deceived. Shouldn't he be furious?
Why is he so calm about it?
And even worse, why does he seem to admire Victoria?"
Everything seemed to be slipping out of her control, and she began to panic.
"Your move is wrong," Victoria spoke up, then walked over, lifting the camera and reaching out to guide her.
Sarah looked at her as she approached. As Victoria's hand made contact with her, she took the opportunity to stumble and fall backward.
Sarah let out a cry of pain, and immediately, her face turned pale as she clutched her calf, groaning in agony.
"It hurts..."
The scene instantly descended into chaos!
Victoria's hand hung frozen in mid–air. She never expected Sarah to suddenly fall!
Before she could even react, she was pushed violently from behind.
"Why are you hurting Ms. Miller?"
Jude's childish voice rang out. Victoria hadn't noticed when he had run up, but now he stood protectively in front of Sarah, his small body blocking her way, his eyes blazing with anger as he glared at Victoria.
