Bonus Scene The Bachelor Party

PEARCE

The glint in Cassius’s eye should have been my warning. Why the hell hadn’t I backed out of the private club as soon as I’d seen him with his hands on hips, a smirk, and a pile of shot glasses next to him?

I squinted at the contents as he grabbed a glass and thrust it my way.

“Cum shot.” Cassius bounced his brows up and down, looking delighted at the creamy liquid in the glass.

I snorted, gaze immediately seeking out Jayden’s. The asshole no doubt had been the instigator of this drink, something he’d discovered a few years back when we were coaching together.

Jayden, who’d flown into town a couple of days ago, grinned at me. “Almost as good as the real thing.”

At his side, Sutton snorted and rolled his eyes.

Knowing that there was no getting out of this, I took the glass from Cassius and knocked it back. The cream slithered down my throat, tasting surprisingly good.

“Right.” With a clap of his hands, my best man stepped forward and threw his arm around my shoulder. “Now to get you ready.”

“Ready?” Rather than the question sounding like a challenge, acceptance bled into the word. For better or worse, Cassius was in control of tonight, and despite my hesitation, I had no doubt I’d be having a good night. Thank Christ there were still three days before the wedding day, though.

Eddie had pretty much insisted on at least a couple of days between our bachelor parties and our wedding day. And based on what I could see of the room and the number of cum shots I saw lined up, he’d made the right call.

The private club wasn’t one I’d been to before. I hadn’t recognized the place when I’d been dropped off. There was a bar off to the right, which was pretty standard, but it was the stage surrounded in a shitload of glittery tinsel that had me confused.

That and the servers wandering around in sparkly hot pants in the dim lighting.

I nodded at several of my friends and some of my teammates, shaking a few hands when I could as I was all but frog marched toward the front of the stage. “What’s going on?”

At my side, Cassius grinned, reaching out and swiping another shot from a server. He handed it to me, indicating I needed to knock it back. I did so immediately, figuring I was going to need it.

I hadn’t forgotten about the heat, promise, whatever of competition, and glancing around, while there were at least fifty of my friends here, there were noticeable faces missing.

“I’m going to need you to sit your ass down, drink one of these every half hour, between beer of course, and get ready for the show.”

“Show?” I quirked my brow, readily accepting the beer handed to me.

“Hell yes, show.”

“Have you got me strippers?” I kept my voice neutral, not showing my cards either way. Was watching guys strip hot? Well, it could be. Not sure how I’d feel about Eddie ogling strippers, though, I was a little uneasy about how he’d react.

Cassius snorted. “No. Give me some credit for originality.”

Surprise flittered through me and I relaxed a little, taking a pull of my beer and smiling as Jayden sat down at the table I’d been ushered to. “Okay. I best sit my ass down and see what’s going on.”

I did just that, watching with a bemused smile as Cassius practically raced away, heading toward a door that I was sure headed to back stage.

“You have any idea what the show is?” I asked Lucas, who pulled out a chair to my left.

“You’re just going to have to wait and see.” Lucas’s grin was wide, his expression filled with amusement.

“Shit.” I angled around, needing another shot if I was going to get through tonight. Spotting a cute server in red-sequined hot pants, I beckoned him over with a smile. “Thanks,” I said, swiping three drinks and downing them all.

Jayden laughed. “Man, that cream’s going to curdle if you keep doing that and mixing it with beer.”

I shuddered at the thought.

Sutton leaned forward. “Ask him how he knows.”

“Fuck off.” Jayden nudged him and placed a hand on his boyfriend’s knee. “Some things should remain between lovers.”

Sutton raised his brow. “Lovers?”

“Yep.”

Scrunching his nose, Sutton shook his head. “You call us lovers again and I’ll be sharing other stories where cream was involved.”

We erupted in laughter as Jayden’s eyes widened before narrowing into slits. “Talking about cream”

Loud music cut off his words, drawing our attention to the stage. A second later, my brows shot high as tonight’s show started. My grin followed a moment later, my shoulders relaxing, and I eased back in my seat, gaze fixed on the incredible entertainer on the stage.

Glitter, sequins, and feathers all wrapped around the drag queen who strutted onto the stage, a mic in her hand, each step perfectly in sync with 2 Unlimited’s “Get Ready For This.”

I clapped and cheered along with everyone else, completely blown away by this being Cassius’s choice for tonight.

As the glitzed-up queen danced to the opening beats of the fast dance tune, Cassius, Ollie, Joel, and Jax danced their asses off onstage, all decked out with wigs, makeup, and Eagles cheerleader outfits.

“The fuck!” I burst out laughing, clapping harder, and hollering.

The four of them broke into dance moves behind the drag queen, adding in dodgy twerks and knee bops for good measure.

I chuckled harder, my chest feeling warm, stomach already hurting from being almost bent over from laughter. These guys, my friends, were fucking amazing.

Standing up with the rest of my friends who made up the audience, we clapped along, shouting our encouragement, stamping our feet when each of my friends onstage had ten seconds or so center stage, doing their own dance move.

When the music faded, all four wrapped around the drag queen, and the room exploded in applause and cheers.

It took a while for us to settle, for the queen to encourage us to take our seats so we could hear her speak.

Once we finally did as we were told, I stared in wide-eyed wonder at Cassius and the rest of the guys.

“Thank you, thank you. You may call me Misty Swallows.”

She curtseyed when we clapped loudly.

“And these beautiful specimens who joined me onstage are, for tonight only, the Hot Balls.”

I snorted out a laugh and whistled.

“Weren’t they just fabulous?” She wrapped her arm around Cassius, who was rocking the long eyelashes and full face of makeup.

“We’re all here to celebrate an event that’s going to break so many hearts with a sexy eligible bachelor being officially off the market.

” Her gaze landed on me, and I held up my beer bottle, grinning at the cheers surrounding me.

“But all is not lost,” she continued. “Just think of all the fresh spank-bank material we have of two delicious basketball players together.” She bounced her painted-on brows.

“Eddie Phelps,” she said breathily, fanning herself.

I snorted and totally understood. That man of mine got me hot under the collar whenever I thought about him. Which was constantly.

“Tonight, we have a wonderful show prepared for you. Not only with lots of gorgeous queens for you to enjoy, but we also have a special performance starring the Hot Balls.”

My four teammates waved as we cheered, Cassius looking in his element, Joel and Jax seeming to take it in stride, and Ollie appearing like he was desperate to run or twist an ankle so he could get off the stage. Stat.

“And I’ve been told, there’s a friendly competition where you get to decide who’s tonight’s star queen out of these four beauties beside me.”

Cassius shimmied at her side and blew us all a kiss.

“We’ll start with their special performance, dedicated to the man of the moment, the delectable Pearce Malcolm.” She winked at me. “So sit back, you gorgeous creatures, and enjoy tonight’s show.”

She waved as she strutted offstage, leaving the four guys behind, who gathered in a group, spoke to each other, then fanned out.

The audience settled and I eased back in my seat, my heart happy and full of gratitude to have friends who were willing to go all out and make my party one to remember.
