Anya and I met in the college cafeteria. I was seated alone. When she asked if she could join me for lunch, her Russian accent sent shivers up my spine.
I was at the college because as a successful and well established author, I give a class once per month in the creative writing classes. It usually takes me three days to cover all those classes at the school.
Anya was at the college because she is there teaching English to Russian immigrants and various other immigrants English. She also teaches the classes they must take to study to take and pass the citizenship tests to become an American citizen like she did fifteen years ago.
I was immediately taken with the stunning raven haired Russian woman. I was ecstatic when she accepted my offer for a date. After a year of courting, we were married by a judge at the Seattle court house.
Over the year we courted, I only ran into Anya’s daughter on a couple of occasions. My description of her would probably that she is a cross from being Gothic or Just a plane renegade.
Anya has worked hard to soften her Russian accent. Kat takes great pleasure of having a thick accent. It is like a badge of honor for her.
The more I am around he I believe that she is fully a goth girl with a rebel’s attitude. I swear that she says things and does thing around me just to get a rise out of me.
