14. Kayori #2
“I swear I hate you Beast! I got something that would crush your whole life right now. I’m gon’ wait though; you know.
Save the best for last! I have done nothing but love you, I could’ve been with you and brought us another female that you would have been head over heels for.
Yet, once again you done picked another bitch over me!
Well, you gone see just what the fuck is gon’ happen! Laugh now cry later Beast!”
She attempted to walk away but was snatched back with full force. Wasting no time Praise pulled his gun, shocking everyone. He was gone off the deep end, I could tell when the voices started messing with him. His eyes would look zoned out.
“You threatening me Laquanna? Please say you are.”
He stuck the gun deep into her mouth as she began to cough, gag, and choke. Her eyes were as big as saucers, she was starting to panic as vomit came up. It seemed like he was trying to force the gun even further down her throat.
“Praise baby, take a deep breath let her go!”
I panicked. I didn’t want to witness him blowing her brains out.
“I told you to get in the fucking car! WHY DON’T YOU BITCHES EVER FUCKING LISTEN!”
When he looked at me, I knew it wasn’t Praise talking.
It was for sure Beast taking over him. Right then and there I made a discovery, Praise was triggered by people that reminded him that he had a voice inside of him, whom he named Beast. Apart from his paranoia schizophrenia disorder, Praise also had a small case of split personality with another long list of things that he told me he had been diagnosed with.
A small part of me wondered if Beast liked me too.
If he did then I might be able to calm him.
“You love deep throating shit so much bitch! Deep throat this fucking pistol until you die! Praise cares about you still being around for Mattea! See I believe that Kayori would be a damn good mother to her! Do you know how long I’ve been wanting to fucking kill you?”
He paused as she shook her head, her eyes rolled back, and I panicked even more. Tears ran down my face as I tried one more time to get control of him.
“Beast please stop! You’re going to kill her!”
His wild eyes looked over at me. I stood stuck in place shivering from fear.
“You know me? Beast? Not only Praise. But you know me?”
I nodded my head yes, as I silently prayed that he took the gun out of her mouth. People were starting to come out of their houses to look on at all the commotion.
“Let’s just go Beast. She’s not even worth it, please let’s go,” I begged of him. This is not how I planned for my day to go.
He took the gun out of her mouth as she fell to her knees and started gasping for air, choking and coughing. I felt so bad for her.
“Are you scared of me, Kayori? You know, I discovered I loved you before Praise. Not that he doesn’t love you, I’m just more for certain that I do.
Praise don’t know when to put an end to motherfuckers like her.
See I’m not no sucker ass nigga! That’s why he takes those stupid ass pills to not let me out. ”
I wanted to break down and cry so hard for him.
He was serious and I knew that this all was real.
Praise once told me that sometimes it felt like another person was trying to take over and take control of him.
He also said he hoped that another person fell in love with me first so I could be his medicine.
Now, I understood just what he meant. I couldn’t leave him hanging like this, I couldn’t imagine what it would even be like to have these many things going on at once with myself.
Praise was a very strong man; he tried every day with everything in him.
“You both need the medicine Beast. It’s for your own good.”
I grabbed his hand causing a surprised look to come over his handsome face. Those eyes were still wild, but I needed Beast to understand that I not only wanted Praise but him too. They were a packaged deal, and I would try my best to get them the help they needed.
“I’m not taking that shit because I know I’m not fucking crazy.”
He looked at me seriously as we started making our way back to his truck, that was the goal to calm him down enough to walk away.
“If you loved me, you would try Beast.”
He looked at me and gave me a crooked smile.
Soon as we reached the back of his truck, Laquanna was standing to her feet.
She was moving frantically trying to get herself inside of her car.
I got into the passenger side as Beast stood outside the driver’s door, he had sparked a blunt and started giving orders to his guards.
Laquanna pulled up alongside him and I wished she would have kept going.
What happened next caused my pressure to rise sky-high.
“That’s why Nia’s not dead bitch! She’s my bitch and she eats my pussy very well!”
She pressed the gas hard and peeled off as Beast aimed his pistol and started shooting, busting out her back windows. She hit the corner hard.
“FUCK!!!! I'M GOING TO KILL THAT BITCH AND NIA TOO IF SHE’S ALIVE! I TOLD PRAISE THAT BITCH WASN’T DEAD!”
I had nothing to say all I could do was shake my head.
This was all way too much. Praise told me how Nia was his soulmate.
He was very honest about everything, so I didn’t know how bad this would mess him up.
He hit the back window with so much force it shattered, I got out of the car trying to do damage control.
“Get in on the passenger’s side Beast. We got to go before the police come.”
I told the guards to get in the back seat, I got in on the driver's side and sighed before starting the car. Brick had to get all of the glass from off the back seat before getting in. Usually, Praise wouldn’t smoke around me.
I had to remember that Praise was now riding the back seat to Beast. Beast was very blunt, disrespectful, and mean as hell.
He was driven off anger alone. He puffed on the blunt and looked out the window, his breathing was hard as his chest heaved up and down.
“I’m going to fucking kill her with my bare fucking hands! You hear me Kayori!”
His voice boomed as I just looked at him calmly.
“You have to think things through thoroughly Beast. I don’t want you to go to jail. Why don’t you take your medicine before we hit the road so you can calm down and take a nap baby.”
I talked softly, trying to give him some reassurance.
“I ain't no pussy ass soft nigga! You can’t fuck with my head like you do Praise!” His voice boomed as I just stared at him making sure to look him in the eyes.
“I never said that! If I go anywhere with you Beast, you’re going to take those pills!
” I yelled right back at him. He asked for my keys so he could grab water out of my house.
I was glad that he didn’t try to fight me on it.
Beast seemed very defensive. It would probably take a while before Praise would come back to the forefront.
“Have you guys ever met Beast in this form?” I asked the bodyguards. They nodded their heads up and down.
“He means well,” was all Brick offered up. They both remained quiet. At least they also knew what Praise suffered from. I watched Beast walk back to the car, he got in with an attitude, huffing and puffing. Opening up his glove compartment, snatching the pill bottle out he put four in his hand.
“The max to take is three Beast. You really only supposed to take two. Only take three,” I told him as he looked at me with annoyance, he put one back into the bottle then threw them back into the glove compartment. Soon as he popped them in his mouth, I headed straight to the freeway.
“Take me to my momma's house,” he punched the address into the GPS.
Sitting his chair back a little he finished up the remainder of his blunt.
We had a five-hour drive which was long as hell for me.
Beast operated the radio turning on Tupac “I ain't mad at cha” he rapped it word for word until he started to yawn. That was the effect of the medicine, taking two he could control himself from falling to sleep but three would definitely put him right out. that’s exactly what I wanted.
Beast was on his way to sleep and when he woke back up, I knew I would be greeted by Praise.
“I love you Kayori.”
Before I could respond he fell right to sleep. I turned Tupac off and played Sade to ease my nerves.
“I love you too, Beast.”
I stroked his hand with my free hand and kept cruising on the freeway with a million thoughts running through my mind.
One of the main thoughts that crossed my mind is months ago, I never thought I would be involved this deep with a man like Praise.
I knew that it was too late to turn around now because the feelings were clearly there and strong.
