A Mother's Divided Duty

October Daye, known as Toby, is settling into life with a baby and trying to keep her daughter safe from the terrors of Faerie without abandoning the work that protects her found family.

The whole household has been holding that balance, from May down to Raysel, the estranged daughter of Toby's liege lord, who is serving out a term of offense in Toby's home.

As that term ends, Luna Torquill insists on taking Raysel back, even though Toby has given her a refuge and a licensed therapist who works with the fae, and Raysel is not ready to leave.

Luna refuses to be denied and steals her own child away to Blind Michael's lands, where she cannot shield Raysel from the monsters in their lineage or from secrets her father and his works kept hidden.

Toby must race to save Raysel before it is too late for her to come home.
