Cassidy
Iwake slowly, feeling a warm, heavy presence in front of me and behind me.
I’m warm. Ridiculously, wonderfully warm.
I don’t need to rush awake to the screech of my alarm. I’m not being pushed to get up quickly.
I simply exist, cocooned beneath a heavy duvet that smells like my mates, my cheek pressed against a solid chest while the warm scent of fig and black tea curls around my back. Somewhere beyond the curtains, the world is grey and half-lit—too early, or too cold, for either of us to care.
Harlan.
Silas.
My lips twitch before I can stop them. I slept through the journey home, clearly, and I have no memory of being put into bed.
Of being undressed.
Of either of them climbing into bed with me.
“Oh, no,” I mumble into the pillow as the one part of the night that I do remember was someone saying goodnight to Harlan whilst I was practically passed out in his arms.
Fuck.
A quiet chuckle vibrates beneath my ear, the amusement flooding through me in the bond. “So, she’s alive.”
I groan, burying my face further into Harlan’s chest. “Barely. I blame you.”
He laughs again. “I’ll take all the blame, baby, if it means you’re going to let that happen again.”
I whimper, feeling my own arousal and his. I push past Harlan’s feelings and reach for my bonds with Evander and Isaac, to check in a little.
Both are alert, Evander slightly irritated but mostly amused, and Isaac’s very determined.
“Where is Van and Isa?” I ask before yawning loudly, burying my face into Harlan’s chest to hide the morning breath I likely have.
Harlan brushes a kiss to my hair. “I heard where and Isa from that garble,” he says teasingly. “I’m presuming you asked about Ev and Isaac. They’re at a breakfast meeting with some, or maybe all, of Emme’s mates. I’m not sure who is overseeing their project, but they’re giving an update.”
I nod, rubbing my eyes. “That explains it, then.”
“Explains what?” he asks, attempting to pull me closer to him.
It would’ve worked, if I didn’t have the very possessive Silas at my back holding me tightly against his chest. His grip tightens whenever I edge even a millimetre away.
“Their feelings. Van’s amused but also a little annoyed. Isaac’s very determined,” I offer.
“Hm. I can feel that,” he says with a bit of awe. “I wonder—”
“Wonder quieter next time, you brute,” Silas snaps, rolling over onto his back, pulling me with him.
I shriek, but my alpha quickly turns me around so that I’m now able to straddle his thighs.
Looking down into Silas’s sleepy face, my stomach flips, and then I realise what I’m wearing.
Or I should say how little I’m wearing.
I’m wearing one of their shirts—maybe Evander’s by the smell, but it’s covered in them all now so it’s hard to tell—and nothing else. Not even a pair of clean underwear.
I turn slightly, giving Harlan a quick look, which, unfortunately, he catches.
“What was that for?” Harlan demands, amusement lacing his tone.
“Um, nothing,” I lie, looking down at Silas for help.
Instead, Silas’s eyes darken, a stern expression on his face. “Oh, that was not a good lie to tell, little moon.”
I grimace. “It was… nothing important.”
The correction works, right? It should.
Silas raises an eyebrow, propped up on one elbow now, sheets pooled at his waist. Harlan doesn’t even bother looking at me, still crouched by the wardrobe, rifling through hangers.
“What do you think we should do about our lovely little lying omega, Brother?”
My entire body freezes, a rush of slick leaking onto Silas’s thighs, as my cheeks heat up.
Fuck.
That was… undeniably arousing for no reason whatsoever.
Wasn’t last night enough, Cassidy? Are you really this desperate for them?
“I think we’ve got no choice,” Silas says, his eyes burning into the top of my head as I make careful decisions to not look his way. “We can’t let a lie like this go unpunished now, can we?”
Harlan leans in closer, his bare chest drawing my eyes, and as the blanket falls from him, I see he’s wearing a pair of grey boxers and nothing else.
Well, unless he’s wearing socks or leg warmers or something.
I stare at him, unable to help myself, my eyes tracking the line of his stomach where the duvet has slipped further.
Fuck, my vagina is being problematic.
Harlan raises a brow and lightly coughs. I look at him, flush, and hide again.
“Oh, luxury, that’s not going to work,” he says with a deep chuckle. “How about we make a deal, hm?”
His hand touches the small of my back, and I startle on Silas’s legs, jolting forward a little. My alpha grabs my hips, centering me slightly, and I can feel his hardness underneath me now.
Oh.
I’m not the only one affected by this.
I swallow, trying to find my voice. “What kind of deal?”
Harlan’s thumb traces a slow circle against my spine, and I shiver. “You tell me what that look was for, and I’ll consider not joining Silas in his punishment.”
I groan, dropping my forehead to Silas’s chest. My scent glands ache, my scent perfuming the room with lust, and I can feel both alphas responding to it—Silas’s grip tightening on my hips, Harlan’s breath catching behind me.
“Fine,” I mumble into Silas’s chest, the word muffled against his skin. “I was just... noticing that I’m not wearing any underwear.”
Nobody speaks. I want to disappear into the mattress.
I wriggle against Silas, trying to escape so I can hide my mortification from them, but his hands tighten on my hips, not letting me move from him.
His cock flexes against the fabric between us, showing he’s equally as affected as I am.
Oh, I love that.
I love the effect I have on Silas. On all of them really.
Harlan hums, low and appreciative, and I feel the vibration of it through Silas’s chest. “Ah. The underwear.”
“I wasn’t going to say anything,” I mutter, still hiding my face. “It was just a thought. A stupid, passing thought that didn’t need to be—”
“Are you insulting yourself?” Silas asks, a warning note to his voice.
“No, I didn’t, I—” I cut myself off when Harlan tilts my head up, forcing me to meet Silas’s eyes.
This is so unfair.
So, so unfair.
“Yes, you did,” Silas corrects. “You called your thoughts stupid. So, you called yourself stupid. I don’t like hearing that about my mate. Do you, Harlan?”
My other alpha shakes his head, leaning in closer to Silas and me. I can feel the heat of his body pressing into me, the grip on my chin tighter now, as he turns my head to look at him.
“No,” Harlan says, his voice dropping lower. “I don’t like it either.”
I squirm between them, overwhelmed by their attention. “Okay, okay, I’m sorry. I won’t call my thoughts stupid again.”
Silas’s thumb traces circles on my hip bone, sending shivers down my spine.
“Or, or any part of me,” I hastily add when Harlan’s brow raises. “I’ll try, I promise.”
“That’s all we can ask for, little luxury,” Harlan says, disappointment gone as fast as it came, a smile already curling in its place. “Now, then, you’ve been very brave with us, so I think you might be deserving of a reward.”
I bite my lip as Silas’s cock twitches again, but I’m torn. Do I want to push and demand to know more about the underwear they’re distracting me from, or do I just want to accept the reward, which realistically, is going to be orgasms.
Multiple orgasms.
“We’re not doing our jobs right, moonlight, if your brain can wander that far away.”
Silas’s voice cuts through my distraction, and I look up to find his dark eyes fixed on me with an intensity that makes my breath catch. There’s something so possessive in the way he calls me “moonlight” that I feel my cheeks flush.
“I wasn’t wandering,” I protest weakly. “I was just… um, thinking about where my underwear went.”
Silas’s lips curl into that slow, knowing smile, the one that always gets me somewhere lower than my stomach. The one that says he’s already ten steps ahead of me.
“Your underwear,” he repeats, his voice dropping to that low, deliberate register that sends heat pooling deep in my belly. “You mean the pair you were wearing yesterday? Hm, didn’t you say something about what she did to those, Brother?”
Harlan moves my head to his line of sight now, smoothly taking over. “The ones you were wearing when you disturbed me from my work last night? The ones that were absolutely soaked through and unfit for the workplace?”
I make a strangled noise, pressing my palms flat against Silas’s chest. My whine is one of need. I can’t ignore the heat pooling in my core or the fluid dripping onto Silas’s boxers from their taunting.
From their teasing.
“You can’t just—you can’t,” I whisper.
“We can’t what, little moon?” Silas asks, his voice a low rumble that I feel reverberating through my body more than hear.
“Can’t tell you how you looked when Harlan brought you in, curled against his chest?
Can’t remember the way you smelled when we undressed you and found you bare beneath your skirt? ”
I fist the blanket at my side, trying to remain as cool and unaffected as the two of them.
I fail.
Harlan’s breath is warm on the side of my face as he presses a kiss to my neck before letting go of my face to tug my T-shirt down a little. Nothing obscene, but enough that he reveals his mark, perfectly healed now.
He presses a kiss to the sensitive skin, and I moan with need, my hips rolling involuntarily against Silas.
“I kept them,” Harlan murmurs against my skin, his lips brushing my mark with each word. “As a token of last night.”
I freeze, my eyes widening, as Silas takes over for me, rocking into my core relentlessly.
“You—you kept my—my underwear?” I gasp out, trying to hold myself still atop Silas so I can focus properly. “Really?”
Harlan’s laugh is low and rich against my skin, pulling back from my mark a little. “Is that really so surprising? The way you were last night… soaked through for me… how could I not keep a little reminder of the gift you gave?”
Well, I suppose when he puts it like that…
Fuck, alpha logic makes a lot of sense to me when I’m just a horny little omega.
“Okay,” I say simply, meeting Silas’s thrust, soaking him with a pool of slick.
