Cassidy #3
I don’t want Harlan thinking I didn’t feel safe with him. And I don’t want Silas thinking I’m using him, either.
“That would make me exceptionally happy,” Silas says, pressing a kiss to my temple.
“You’re sure?” Harlan asks carefully. “Because we’re not limited on funds or—”
“Funds?” I ask, scrunching my nose up. “Why does that matter?”
Harlan grins. “Because we can always stay at a hotel, or a specific spa, or—”
“Oh, no.”
I shake my head quickly, the feeling of wrongness that builds inside me so visceral I could throw up.
“I was going to tell you that you’re allowed to have wants, little luxury, until I felt that,” Harlan says softly. “You feel safe in your nest—in the one you built for us all. That’s all we need to know.”
Relief floods the bond, and I give him a relieved smile. “Thank you.”
“We’ve already got our time off organised,” Silas says, winking at me when I shake my head. “Well, except Ev and Isaac, as they’re not forced to put holiday requests in like us.”
Harlan laughs. “Is that jealousy I sense, Brother?”
Silas flips him off. “Don’t you have a meeting to get to?”
“Oh, I should get up, too,” I say, making to move from Silas’s side. He grips me tighter, and I smile.
“How are you getting into work?” Harlan asks, giving me a pointed look. “And if the word bus or anything linked to public transport escapes your lips, not only will I be late for my meeting, your beautiful ass is going to be stinging from the force of my hand on it.”
I flush, my heart fluttering at the promise. “Harlan!”
“I’m serious, Cassidy.” He pulls on his jacket, his expression softening. “You come in with Silas. You’ll let him drive you in.”
I open my mouth to argue, but Silas speaks first.
“I’m not due in until ten,” Silas says. “I can get sorted and come in early, though.”
“No, that’s fine,” Harlan says, waving my protests off. “Ten is fine. No earlier, and no bus.”
I roll my eyes. To these men, getting on the bus is akin to letting some random stranger come and rob my home. But, you know, the bus is still probably a worse sin.
“I promise,” I say instead.
There’s no point arguing about my safety. Silas made that very clear, and I’m not doing round two.
Harlan’s smile is soft and genuine as he leans down to press a kiss to my forehead. “Good girl.”
The words send a shiver down my spine, and I’m grateful when Silas tightens his arm around me, anchoring me.
“I’ll see you both at the office,” Harlan says, straightening up when he gets off the bed. “Have fun without me.”
He winks, grabs his suit jacket, and waves us off as he leaves the bedroom. Normally, when one of them leave, I feel the loss immediately. But now, with our bond thrumming under my skin, I don’t feel that way. Not anymore.
Instead, I can feel his presence as strongly as I can Evander’s and Isaac’s, even with them not being home. It’s amazing.
I look up at Silas and press a soft kiss to his jaw. He’s my only remaining unmarked mate, and… well, I wonder if he’d be open to changing that.
I open my mouth to ask him, but Silas captures my lips with his own before the words can form. His kiss is soft, unhurried, unlike the frantic pace we’d been building toward earlier. This is different—tender, almost reverent.
When he pulls back, his dark eyes study my face with an intensity that makes my breath catch.
“You were about to ask me something,” he murmurs, his thumb tracing the curve of my lower lip. “Don’t think I didn’t notice.”
I bite my lip, suddenly nervous. “It’s… it’s silly.”
“Nothing about you is silly, moonlight.” He raises a brow. “Do we need another discussion about calling yourself derogatory names?”
“No, no,” I say quickly. “Let’s not go there.”
“Then, ask me.” His voice is gentle but firm, leaving no room for retreat.
I take a deep breath. I want this so badly it scares me a little.
“I was wondering if... if you’d want to… if we could bond.”
The words sit there between us. His face changes. His pupils dilate, his irises almost completely disappearing, as his scent smothers mine, wrapping around me until I can’t find my own underneath it.
“Oh, moonlight, I want nothing more,” Silas says carefully. “But before I do the very selfish thing of taking what I want, I need to be sure you actually want this right now. That it’s not just because you’re feeling—”
“It is because I’m having feelings,” I murmur, twiddling my fingers together. “When Harlan left, I didn’t feel so… empty. I want to bond with you, too, to have the pack be complete. For us to be complete.”
Silas’s hand cups my cheek, his thumb brushing over my cheekbone with a tenderness that makes my chest ache.
“You want to bond with me because we make you feel safe,” he says, his voice barely above a whisper. “Not because you feel obligated.”
I nod, tears stinging at the corner of my eyes. “Yes.”
He grins. “That’s all the permission I need. Did you and any of the others discuss a safe word, in case things become too much?”
I nod. “Home.”
His smile widens. “Fuck, you are perfect.”
His eyes darken with something primal as he leans in, his breath warm against my ear. “I’m going to take very good care of you, moonlight.”
I shiver at the promise in his voice, my body already responding to the raw need radiating from him. When his lips meet mine, the kiss is nothing like the gentle ones he’s been giving this morning.
It’s fierce, claiming, desperate. His hand slides into my hair, tilting my head back as he deepens the kiss, his tongue sweeping against mine. I moan into his mouth, my hands gripping his shoulders for balance as the world tilts around me.
When he finally pulls back, we’re both breathless, and I gently move him backwards, grateful he takes the hint and scoots down the bed. His boxers are soaked, likely a combination of my slick and his pre-cum, and I move without thinking towards him.
I tug the boxers down over his cock, smiling when it bounces free. I bend lower, wrapping a hand around the base of him, and take his tip into my mouth. I swirl my tongue over his slit, tasting the delicious salt of him, the groan that tears from his throat making my core clench with need.
“Fuck, moonlight,” he hisses, his hand coming to rest in my hair, not pushing, just holding. “You don’t have to—”
I hum around him, the vibration making his hips jerk, and I take him deeper, feeling his cock hit the back of my throat as I relax into it. His fingers tighten in my hair, not guiding, just feeling the connection between us.
“Cassidy,” he groans, and I love how my name sounds when he says it like that—desperate, reverent, adoring.
I pull back, licking my lips as I gaze up at him. His eyes are dark with desire, his chest heaving. Seeing him this undone—because of me—goes straight to my head.
“Come here,” he whispers, his voice rough with need. I crawl up his body, straddling his hips, feeling his hard length press against me.
Silas reaches between us, positioning himself at my entrance, and I slowly sink down, taking him inch by inch until I’m fully seated.
The feeling of him stretching me, filling me completely, makes me gasp. My hands brace against his chest, fingers splaying across the warm skin.
Silas is thicker than the others, and the stretch is a delicious sting as I take him properly. I whimper as I tentatively rock against him, loving the feel of him brushing against my inner walls.
“Fuck, moonlight, you feel amazing,” Silas murmurs. “Are you okay?”
I nod, and he reaches up to pull my head towards his. He kisses me deeply, tasting himself on my lips. His hands grip my hips before I shriek as he practically throws us backwards, moving himself into the position above me.
Wide-eyed, I stare into the lust-addled eyes of my alpha, his chest heaving as he hovers above me. The hunger in his eyes makes my breath catch, and I whimper as he slowly begins to move inside me.
“You’re mine,” he whispers, his voice rough with need. “My moonlight. My mate. My perfect omega.”
I wrap my legs around his waist, pulling him deeper as he starts moving his hips. One hand holds him up above me, the other reaching for my nipple, tentatively squeezing.
My whimpers are becoming desperate cries as Silas picks up his pace, driving into me with purpose. My nails dig into his shoulders, leaving crescent marks as I cling to him.
He’s so fast, so deep, unwilling to let me catch my breath. My body is on fire, every nerve ending alight with pleasure as he claims me. I feel the bond between us pulsing, growing stronger with each thrust.
“Please,” I beg, not even sure what I’m asking for. “Silas, please.”
He lowers himself so his lips hover just above mine, our breath mingling. “I love you, little moonlight. My soul is yours. My life’s purpose is you.”
“I love you, too,” I reply, gasping when he thrusts deeper.
Something shifts in his expression—a primal hunger that makes my stomach flip. He moves back up, his hips taking on a mind of their own as he ruts into me, over and over.
“Yes, right there,” I gasp when he hits that perfect spot inside me. “Don’t stop, Si, please.”
“Never,” he promises, his voice strained. “Shit, you’re so fucking tight.”
“Silas,” I whimper, my body trembling beneath him. “I need—”
“I know what you need,” he growls, his pace relentless. “I’ve always known. I’ve always delivered. Don’t doubt me now, little moon.”
His hand slides between us, fingers finding my clit with unerring precision. The dual sensation of him thrusting deep and his fingers working my clit pushes me to the edge. My back arches off the bed, my muscles tightening as pleasure builds.
“Silas, I’m going to—” The words dissolve into a cry as my orgasm crashes over me. My inner walls clench around him, pulling him deeper as waves of pleasure rocket through my body.
Every nerve, every muscle… every breath is under his control.
Silas doesn’t stop. He continues fucking me with an intensity that makes my vision blur, chasing his own release. His rhythm becomes erratic, his breathing ragged as he drives into me.
