Chapter 18 #3

“You got a man you didn’t tell me about? You think you can play me?”

My stomach dropped.

“Stone—”

“Answer the question.”

I took a breath. “That was Ryan. He’s someone I used to deal with before I met you. But he’s not my man, and I don’t want him. I told him I’m with someone now.”

Stone’s expression didn’t change. He just kept staring at me with those cold, dark eyes.

“Stop fuckin’ looking at me like that, nigga!” I snapped, my fear turning into anger. “I didn’t do anything wrong! How was I supposed to know he’d even be there?”

Stone started walking toward me slowly, like a killer stalking its prey.

My heart pounded harder with each step he took.

When he reached me, he got nose to nose with me, so close I could feel his breath on my face.

“You was real adamant about coming to LA today,” he said quietly. “How I know you ain’t make plans to see that nigga?”

I glared at him. “Fuck you, Stone! I wanted to see my best friend, that’s it!”

His hand came up and wrapped around my throat, squeezing slightly. His other hand gripped my waist firmly so I couldn’t move.

“I will kill you, and that nigga, before I let y’all be together,” Stone said, his voice deadly serious.

I tried to free myself from his grip, pushing at his chest.

“Let go of me! If you think I’m such a hoe that I’m trying to fuck with another nigga, then go ahead and kill me! You fuckin’ psycho!”

Stone’s nostrils flared and his jaw ticked.

He had that overly intense look in his eyes. The one that usually turned me on. But right now, I was too mad to be turned on. Too hurt. He had me fucked up coming at me like this. He was threatening to kill me over some bullshit when I was in love with his stupid ass.

No other man could ever make me turn my head his way. Because Stone was the only man I wanted. The only man I needed.

I loved him.

As crazy and possessive and infuriating as he could be, I really did love him. And the realization, combined with the anger and fear and frustration, made me start to cry. I saw Stone’s expression soften slightly, but not completely.

“Stop crying,” he commanded.

“I can’t!” I yelled, tears streaming down my face. “I can’t stop crying because I’m in fuckin’ love with your dumb ass and you’re threatening to kill me over a nigga who don’t mean shit to me! So, fuck you!”

The words hung in the air between us, and I watched as Stone’s cold demeanor instantly fell away.

For a moment, he looked weak. Vulnerable. Like I’d just knocked the wind out of him. Then he spoke, his voice rough.

“You mean that shit? You in love with a nigga?”

I refused to look at him. I hated that I’d confessed my feelings and shown my hand before I was certain he felt the same way.

“Look at me, Indigo,” Stone said. “Answer me.”

I finally forced myself to look into his eyes.

“Yes, Stone,” I said, my voice breaking. “I fuckin’ love you.”

His hands came up to cup my face like I was the most precious thing in the world. And then he kissed me gently. Softly. It was softer than any kiss he’d ever given me.

When he pulled back, he pressed his forehead to mine.

“I love you, too, baby,” he said quietly.

We stared at each other for a heavy, intense moment, and then Stone lifted me into his arms and carried me toward the stairs. He took me to the bedroom. The same bedroom where we’d had sex for the first time. Where everything between us had started.

Stone laid me down on the bed gently, and then he took his time removing my clothes. His movements were slow and careful. He kissed all over my face and body as he undressed me.

My sneakers came off first. Then my skirt. My top, my bra, my panties.

When I was completely naked beneath him, Stone stared down at me, his eyes filled with something I’d never seen before. It was love. Real, genuine love.

“You so fuckin’ beautiful, Indigo,” he murmured.

He kissed me again, deep and slow. His hands roamed over my body, and it wasn’t rough or demanding like usual, but gentle. It was reverent, like he was worshipping me.

Stone kissed down my neck, my collarbone, between my breasts. He took his time with each nipple, sucking and licking until I was arching into him. Then he kept going lower, kissing down my stomach and over my hips. Down my thighs.

When he reached my pussy, he looked up at me and our eyes locked, then he buried his face between my thighs. His tongue moved over me slowly, deliberately, like he was savoring every taste. Every sound I made.

I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing, because this wasn’t just sex. This was love.

Stone ate me out like he was making love to me with his mouth. Looking into my eyes the whole time. Watching my reactions. Repeating what made me moan louder. What made my thighs shake.

“Come all over my face, baby,” he murmured against me. “Yo’ nigga thirsty.”

My body responded instantly. I came hard, my back arching off the bed, my hands gripping his head. Stone licked up every drop, groaning like it was the best thing he’d ever tasted.

He stood and started removing his clothes slowly, never taking his eyes off me. Like I was his entire world.

When he was finally naked, he climbed back on top of me.

“I love you, Indigo,” he said, staring into my eyes.

“I love you too,” I whispered.

Stone pushed inside me in one smooth motion. We both gasped as he started moving. Slow. Deep. The deepest, slowest strokes he’d ever given me. Looking into my eyes the whole time. Making love to me.

“You mine forever,” Stone said, his voice rough with emotion.

“Yes,” I breathed.

“You belong to me, and I belong to you.”

“Yes, daddy.”

He kept talking me through it. Kept telling me how much he loved me. How I was his. How he’d never let me go. I kept crying because it was so intense. So overwhelming. So much more meaningful than anything we’d done before.

Stone folded me up, pinning my knees to my chest as he fucked me deeply.

“I love you, baby,” he said, his voice breaking. “Love you so fuckin’ much.”

“I love you too,” I sobbed.

“I would never hurt you. I’d die before I ever hurt you.”

“I know.”

“I’m so sorry,” he said. “I’m sorry for threatening you. For scaring you. I can’t lose you, Indigo. I can’t.”

“You won’t,” I promised. “You won’t lose me. I’m yours.”

Stone’s strokes became more desperate and intense. When he finally came inside me, he buried his face in my neck and held me so tight I could barely breathe.

I clung to him like he was my lifeline. Like if I let go, I’d fall apart. Stone didn’t pull out for a long time. Just stayed inside me, kissing my lips and all over my face.

When he finally looked at me, his eyes were crazed. Obsessed. Addicted.

And in love. So deeply in love.

“I love you, Indigo,” he said again.

“I love you too, Stone.”

And I meant it with everything in me.

I loved this crazy, possessive, dangerous man, and there was no going back.
