Chapter Fifteen #2
“Saint needs help. His club was ambushed, usurped, his parents were murdered, and that same man that took over wants Sienna as his old lady. I know you all can imagine what that would look like for a man like Cain. I won’t let that happen to her.
He sent snakes into our clubhouse to deceive us, to get close to us, and then killed one of our brothers.
We are Heathens. We don’t let that stand.
None of those things are okay with us. Whether we like it or not, we’re involved now, and it’s time we show up and remind everyone who the fuck we are. ”
“I need to remind you that she is not yours to protect. She’s a guest here, under the club’s protection, but that only means keeping her safe here.
That doesn’t extend to her fate after she leaves.
We can’t get involved in another war. This is our home, Wrath, and we will protect that above all else. ”
I sit up straighter, bracing my hands on the table.
Anger and rage boil over; the only words in my head are, “Mine. Mine. Mine.” Chaos will have to kill me himself before I let anything bad happen to Sienna, no matter where she is.
But I know I need to keep Sienna out of this argument and focus on our direct involvement to get the club on board.
“Then we take out the threat. Because make no mistake, he got to Rolo, and we had no fucking idea. He will do it again.”
“He’s not wrong, Chaos,” Rogue adds, having my back. “As long as he’s alive and breathing, he’s a threat to all of us. I have no protection in Aspen Ridge. The Widowmakers rolled right into my tattoo shop and took Kinsey. I can’t take that chance ever again. They need to be dealt with.”
“He’s already taken one of us, left Morgan a widow.
What about Saige? Bristol? Monroe?” Sienna, I think in my head.
But she’s not fucking mine, even if everything in me is saying she is.
She doesn’t belong to anyone. Chaos looks pissed, eyeing every single one of us while running his hands over the thick scruff at his jaw.
“Then let’s vote. Wrath?” Fucking finally.
“All in favor of working with Saint to take out Cain and get his club back, raise your right hand.”
Every single one of us raises our hands except Chaos. It’s a pass, but we all wait for what he’ll say or do. If we do this, we need him to lead. We need him to get us through it.
“You’ve all decided, then. You told me to sleep on it, and I did.
If we do this, there’s one condition. I expect full loyalty in return.
I can’t force that loyalty, we all know this, but seeing as how our end goal is aligned, we need to forge something new by working together to reach a common goal.
We get Saint’s club back, and he retires the Kingsnakes MC and adopts it as another chapter of Hell’s Heathens: Autumn Bay. ”
Fuck. There’s discussion all around me, but all I can think about is how Saint is going to react to this. You can’t buy loyalty with money, force, or fear, but collaboration to reach a common goal? This might just work.
“I’ll make the call.”
Chaos nods, dismissing us, and I pull out my burner phone, walking through the clubhouse like my ass is on fire, calling Saint. He picks up on the first ring.
“That was faster than I expected. This can’t be good.”
“It’s not great. I don’t know how you’re gonna feel about this.”
“Hit me with it, then. Can’t be worse than what I’m already dealing with.”
“Chaos’ number one thing is trust and loyalty. He’s agreed to help you, but he’s got one condition.”
“What is it?”
“We get your club back, kill Cain and his minions, but then you retire the Kingsnakes and become a chapter of Hell’s Heathens.
You’d be the president of your chapter; you’d run it how you want, but your club would operate under ours, the parent chapter.
We’d be forging a bond that would call to each other’s needs whenever needed. It’s your call.”
The line is quiet for a few moments, and I can’t imagine what the hell is going through his head. I’ve never been in the situation to be desperate enough to give up something that runs blood-deep. This isn’t a small ultimatum.
“Done.”
“That easy?”
“When the people I love’s lives are on the line, yeah, it’s that easy. I have no loyalty to the Kingsnakes name now, just to my family. Tell Chaos I agree to his terms, but I want to start hunting now.”
“Agreed. Get me everything you have on Cain’s whereabouts, numbers of men, and what we can expect. It’s time he learns what it feels like to be hunted by a Hell’s Heathen.”
I pull out my personal phone, bringing up the group chat and letting them all know.
Me: Saint accepts the terms. Now to get a plan together.
Malice: I love a good bloodbath!
Sin: It must be really fucking bad over there for him to agree
Me: I have an idea
Chaos: We’ll get it done then. Update me as soon as you have the information from Saint. Then we’ll move in. Saige is refusing to sit this one out
Sin: So fucking glad I don’t have that problem
