SEVENTEEN
My eyes flutter open, adjusting, as the bright sun shined through the window. I rubbed my eyes clearing the groggy blurry fog. After my eyes adjusted, I propped myself up on my elbows. I looked around and I'm in my room. I wasn't on the couch no more, I was in my room of the pack house.
How did I even get to my room?
I mentally curse at myself as a loud growl erupts from my stomach.
I quickly get out of my bed to hunt down a pair of workout shorts and a shirt, then hunting down a bra and underwear.
I head to the bathroom and turn on the water letting it warm up as I get undressed from yesterday clothes.
I step into the shower and wash my hair and body.
I step out, grabbing a towel from the bathroom shelf and start to dry my body. I wrap my hair up in the towel and quickly side on my clothes. I remove the towel from my hair and run my hair brush though my hair and brush my teeth.
I walk back into the bedroom and head to the door before leaving. I can hear talking somewhere close. I quickly walk down the hall towards the stairs, the voices getting closer. I run down the stairs and make a straight line towards the kitchen.
"Four of them from what we could tell, Alpha" I heard a voice say from the kitchen.
I paused as I neared the kitchen. Great. Alpha Tyson is in the kitchen. Four of them? What are they talking about? Who saw four of what?, I thought to myself as my curiosity got the best of me.
"We will talk about the later, Silas," I heared the voice I knew all too well. The kitchen going quiet.
He smelt me. I knew he did when he halted the conversation all to quickly.
I muster up a fake smile and let a small quiet sigh before making my way into the kitchen.
I look up and she the Alpha leaned up against the counter with a guy I haven't seen around before across from him.
Their heads snapped my way as I entered, but Alpha Tyson looked away quicker then when his head snapped towards to see who had just walked into the kitchen.
I met eyes with the guy he was standing with and he gave me a cheeky grin.
"Hi, I'm Silas," the goofy grin not leaving his face as he acknowledged me.
I glanced at Alpha Tyson quickly seeing he was tense, he was still looking away from me.
It made my heart clench that he didn't even want to acknowledge me.
I guess he is still made about the other morning.
He is literally such a child. I tore my eyes away from him and put my attention back onto Sirus.
"Hi, I'm Olivia, but you can call me Olive" I said softly towards Silas, returning him with a small smile. I looked back over to Alpha Tyson, my smile falls a bit, he didnt look happy at all.
"Olly!" I snap my head towards the voice. Austin.
I smiled at him widely, "hey, Austin!" I said.
"Well I have to go. See you later Olivia" I hear Silas say.
I turn my head towards Silas, his once smiling face was now in a slight smirk. Why is he smirking? I brushed it off and smiled and softly nodded my head. Silas walked out of the kitchen, leaving. I looked over to Alpha Tyson with a still very pissed of expression.
I looked away from him and shrugged it off. He can get mad all he wants, I just want him to leave me out of it. I walk over to the cabinet pulling out a bowl, then digging through the drawers for a spoon, sitting them both down onto the counter.
"Olivia, can you get me a bowl and spoon please?" I look over to a pouting Austin. I let out a small crackle and have him a nod.
Abruptly Alpha Tyson storms out of the kitchen, I notice his back was tense and his hands are in fists by his side.
I turn my attention back to what I was doing and pull out another bowl and spoon for Austin.
Austin sets down milk and cereal down on the counter, in front of me. We started making our bowls of cereal.
I climbed up and sat down on the counter and took a bite of my cereal.
"I believe it is your turn tonight to be on watch" Austin asked, breaking the silence.
I nodded my head lightly, swallowing down the cereal in my mouth. I wanted to groan at the thought of having to be on watch tonight.
"Yes, don't remind me," I playfully whined, looking at him, "please tell me you are on watch with me tonight?" I asked.
"No, I'm not but definitely next time. You would be blessed to hangout with me all night" he laughed.
I rolled my eyes, "only in your dreams, Austin."
We quickly finished our cereal and Austin had to go. I laid my bowl in the sink and made my way back towards my room
"Hey, I'm Terrance. So I guess you will be with me tonight on watch?" He asked, introducing himself.
It was now 11:00 pm and we were now switching shifts with the other two people.
I nodded, "I'm Olivia but you can call me Olive."
"Great!," he smiled, "so we are gonna start with a perimeter check, you can take that side and I'll take the other side. We can meet up back here in 30!"
"Sounds good," I smiled.
I walked toward the left side of the woods while he walked towards the right side.
I walked behind a tree, making it to the woods and stripped out of my clothes and quickly transitioned into my wolf.
I began walking the left side of the perimeter, my paws rustling the leaves on the ground as I walked deeper and deeper into the wolves.
Keeping my senses up, I trotted through the woods, smelling the air to make sure I didn't smell anything that could be lurking around in the woods. I kept walking deeper into the woods.
'Olivia, somethings wrong' Fay said, her voice full of worry.
'What is it Fay?' I asked her.
'I don't know but something don't feel right. I can feel it' she replied back.
I started smelling the air and strong scent hit my nose. I heard loud rustling, I looked all around and saw nothing, but it kept getting louder knowing it was headed my way.
'Terrance, go get the Alpha, something is here' I mind linked to Terrance before blocking out my mind link from communication him.
Four wolves started to appear, walking out behind trees.
Rouges. I growled at them as they walked closer towards me.
Fuck, Terrance, hurry. Two of them lunged at, clawing into my back.
I let out a loud whimper and shook them off of me quickly, they fell to the ground but got up quickly snarling at me before they charged again, one of them slicing into the side of my neck.
A sharp pain erupted through out both of my back leg, I looked back to see the other wolves biting deep into my legs. I fell to the ground with a loud cry, my vision getting blurry.
'Olivia, I feel so weak' Fay whimpered.
I whimpered as I laid on the ground, the four wolves surrounding me. Suddenly they all started backing up and whimpering. A loud echoing growl erupted through the woods. I moved my head trying to see and there stood Alpha Tyson and three wolves by his side.
The three wolves along side the big wolf took off running after the rouges.
I felt my wolf leave me to heal and I transitioned back into my human form, my body bare.
I still laid on the ground, I knew I couldn't move, I felt the blood falling from my wounds, I whimpered feeling the pain.
I could feel myself getting more tired, I just wanted to close my eyes.
Trying to look through the blurriness of my eyes, I watched as Alpha Tyson ran up to my side.
"Olivia, stay with me," he said softly, scooping me into his arms. My naked body pressing against his chest.
I couldn't take it, the pain was unbearable. I could see the world get darker as I fell unconscious.
