Chapter 41
forty-one
Tristyn
We didn’t sleep together last night, but we did something so much better.
We talked.
About a lot. About my childhood… his childhood. About his family, especially his parents. We talked about how I met Vince and how his family took me in.
It was nice. It made our moment last night feel much more meaningful. Neither of us said those three words because we were hoping it would lead to something more last night, something bigger. We said those words because that’s how we feel.
“How’d you sleep?” Jeremy asks, his eyes blinking open.
“Good.” I yawn. “Great, actually.”
“Me too.” He scoots closer to me, grabbing my hands in his, and kissing my palms. “What time do we need to pick up Henry?”
“Ember texted me last night that they were going to take him out for breakfast this morning, and then skating if there was time. So—”
“Hmmm.” He kisses my forehead before rolling me over so he’s lying over me. “It’s only a little after seven.” He kisses my neck. “Chances are, they haven’t even gone to breakfast yet.”
“Hmmm, so, what did you have in mind?” I run my hands under his shirt, grazing my nails up and down his back.
His mouth covers mine without another word. Unlike our kiss last night, this one is sloppy and urgent. It’s all of the pent-up emotions that’s been building, all of the weight on when and where. He pulls away from me as I rip his shirt off his body and over his head, then his lips are back on mine.
I didn’t realize how much my body was craving this until this very moment. The feeling of his skin underneath my hands, his lips taking control of mine, his hands roaming around my body—
All of it.
His hand pushes up my t-shirt, his thumbs grazing the skin below my breasts, sending chills up my spine.
“Is this okay?” he mumbles.
“It’s more than okay.” I tug on his bottom lip, pulling slightly, as I grab his hand and direct it lower. “Is this okay?”
He doesn’t say anything, just lets his fingers sneak into my waistband, teasing the skin underneath. They sneak lower and lower until they sink into me.
I grip onto Jeremy’s shoulders, my fingernails leaving indents, as his fingers work their magic.
I should’ve known he’d be good with his hands.
“Fuck.” I breathe, as he adds another finger, sinking deeper.
He leaves sloppy kisses along my jaw and down my neck. I cup his head in my hands, pulling his lips back down onto mine, allowing him to swallow every moan before it leaves my mouth.
He removes his fingers, and I feel a sudden emptiness in my core, but it doesn’t last long. He slides my shorts and underwear over my hips and down my legs, and before I have time to react, he places my legs over his shoulder, staring up at me under hooded eyes.
I watch him place kisses along my calves and my thighs, and then—
“Oh, my god, Jeremy.” My fingers tangle in his hair, pulling gently as heat rushes through my core. His right hand travels up my stomach, pushing my t-shirt up with it, and giving my boob a gentle squeeze, sending shock waves from my head all the way through the tips of my toes.
If he hadn’t told me it had been a while, I would never have known.
I can’t even think straight.
“I think—” He picks up his pace. “I don’t—”
I see white.
My toes curl, and my hands grip his hair even tighter as I come down from this high. I close my eyes, focusing on my body, re-regulating.
I can hear my heart thumping in my ears.
Holy fuck.
When I open my eyes, Jeremy is above me, a smug smile on his face. I bite my lip, trying to contain my rapid breathing. His thumb grazes my lower lip, pulling it away from my teeth, making my rapid breath more noticeable.
Then he kisses me. Soft and gentle.
“I like seeing you like this.”
“Like what?” I breathe.
“Free. Not a worry in the world. Not thinking about what can go wrong and when, but just being in this moment. Just being here with me.”
“It’s hard to be anywhere else after that.” I chuckle.
“Oh yeah?” He raises an eyebrow.
“Yeah.”
“Well, I’m just getting started.”
“Oh yeah?” I mimic his motions. “Well, if that was just the beginning, I can’t imagine what the main attraction will be like.”
Jeremy stands up, finding the waistband of his sweats, and pulling them down. I take him all in.
The muscles, the bruises, the scars. Everything that makes him the man I fell in love with.
He climbs onto the bed and then shifts towards me until he’s hovering above me.
“You’re beautiful.” I brush the back of my hand along his cheek.
“You stole my line.”
Aside from my t-shirt, sitting just above my chest, our naked bodies are pressed together. It’s nice. My heart finds a steady rhythm, beating with his.
He kisses me softly and slowly. His hand wraps around my neck just slightly as his thumb grazes along the sensitive skin under my chin. He deepens the kiss, his tongue slipping between my lips and finding mine.
My hands loop under his arms and over his shoulders, making sure our bodies flush against each other. I allow our tongues to wrestle, enjoying each and every second of this moment.
“Fuck.” He pulls back. “I didn’t, I never expected, I don’t… I don’t have anything.”
“What?”
“I didn’t bring a condom.”
“It’s okay,” I mumble. “I’m on the pill, and I’m clean and—”
“I am too.” He studies me. “Are you sure that’s okay? I don’t want you to feel like we have to. We can wait. I don’t mind waiting. For you, I’d wait a lifetime.”
In a lot of ways, I feel like we already have.
“It’s okay. As long as it’s okay with you.”
“It’s okay.”
“Are you sure?”
“Trust me, it’s more than okay. I want to feel you.”
I give him a small smile and then lift my arms above my head. Jeremy slowly pulls my T-shirt over my head and tosses it across the room. His eyes roam my body, taking it in like he hasn’t just been exploring it.
I never truly felt beautiful in my body, but watching Jeremy’s eyes roam over every inch, the soft look in his eyes, I’ve never felt more beautiful.
“Are you ready?”
I nod as he lines his body up with mine.
“I just, I don’t know if I’ll last long, but—”
I place a finger against his lips.
“Don’t think about that. Just think about me, about us. It’s just us.” I kiss him. “Nothing else matters.”
“Nothing else matters.”
He focuses on my mouth, then looks back in my eyes, before his head tilts down and his lips meet mine. His hand resting against my neck tugs me up just slightly, allowing him to deepen the kiss.
Any thought I could form right now disappears as he sinks into me, my head falls back as I moan, the sound echoing off the walls of my room.
His eyes stay locked on mine as he finds a steady pace. My hands snake around his neck, pulling his lips back down to mine. My fingers play with the hair at the nape of his neck, as he picks up his pace.
Without a word, I adjust my body, my hips angling up towards his hips just slightly.
“Holy fuck, Tristyn.”
His hands find mine, nailing them against he bed. His mouth captures any and every piece of skin it can reach as he continues to thrust into me.
When his mouth meets my breasts, my hips shoot off the bed, sending him deeper inside of me as my heels dig into the mattress.
I look down at him and see that his smug smile is back. He does it again, the sensation tearing through my body.
He bites the skin just above my collarbone, and it’s something I never imagined I would enjoy, but I do. The sting of his teeth gently digging into my skin, and then the relief that his tongue provides right after, almost sends me over the edge.
One of his hands leaves mine, gripping my thigh hard against his waist as he continues to thrust into me.
“I’m—”
I don’t get to finish my sentence. I don’t even know if I can form a sentence. He picks up his pace, hitting a spot I didn’t even know was possible, until he changes our angle when he pins my leg against his body.
“You’re so fucking perfect,” Jeremy mumbles against my neck.
I run my free hand through my hair, closing my eyes, as the heat fills my body, it travels through my veins, as he continues pumping through my release.
His hand grips my thigh tighter, tight enough it’ll surely leave a mark, but I don’t care. I feel his pumps become more erratic, and even though my eyes are closed, I can picture him unraveling.
His head drops into the crook of my neck, his rapid breathing slowly coming back to normal.
He places a soft kiss against my neck.
“That was,” he says, adjusting his body to look at me.
“Yeah.” I run my hand through his hair. “It was.”
He looks over at the clock and then raises an eyebrow.
“You think we’ve got time to do it again?”
I shrug and then kiss him.
“We’ll make time.”
