71. Tressa

Ren was going to kill her. She knew it and she looked forward to every . . . single . . . moment.

Tressa’s back arched off the bed and she screamed so loud there was absolutely no way the guards outside couldn’t hear her. But she didn’t care.

“Ren!” she whimpered, as he gave her clit one last lazy suck before climbing up her body, biting at one dark nipple before finally giving her his mouth. She tasted herself on him, a taste she admittedly loved, as he thrust inside her with one sharp push.

“Fuck!” she cried into his mouth as he moaned. He had prepared her with three fingers first, but the stretch of his cock? Nothing could prepare her for how amazing he felt inside her.

“Gods above you feel good,” Ren breathed. He grabbed her hands and pinned them to the bed by her head as he snapped his hips in and out with strokes so deep, she felt him everywhere.

“Ren, gods, Ren.” She whimpered again, her head rolling back and forth on the sheets until he gripped her chin.

“Eyes. Tressa. I want your eyes on mine or down here.” He cupped the back of her head to tilt her head forward so the only thing she could see was him slamming into her, his cock wet with her arousal. Gods above, he was huge.

“Gods Ren.” She stared with wide eyes; the sight so erotic she felt her orgasm getting closer. “Your cock? Fuck.”

Tressa looked up at him to see a smug little smile on his face. He pulled her long legs over his shoulders and the new position sent her rocketing towards her orgasm. His fingers strummed her clit and her nipple in that perfect, perfect rhythm and within a few more minutes she was erupting.

“Ren. Ren!”

He released her nipple, to grip her chin, forcing her eyes to stay on him the whole time as her pussy clenched and spasmed around him. He finally grunted, collapsing on top of her, and breathing hard in her ear. Sometimes she really wished that she had spent the time to develop her Mind Walked talents more. She would never feel confident enough to walk his brain, but to be in his head when he came? It made her hot just thinking about it.

Those grunts, the hard breathing sounds he made in her ear, made her so hot she clenched one more time around his length, and it made him groan.

She giggled, and he pulled back to see it.

At the sight of her smile, Ren beamed down at her, his eyes sparkling. He stroked the side of her cheek with his thumb. “You are the most beautiful thing to walk this planet.”

Tressa’s cheeks heated, and she bit her bottom lip. “I think we are going to have 600 kids.”

His smile got even wider. “Why do you think that?”

Tressa ran her hands up the sides of his torso and then down his back. Touching all the muscle and strength and reliability that was this man. Her man. “Because I can’t keep my hands off you. I”m obsessed with you . . . or at least certain parts of you.”

She clenched around him, and he groaned. “You cruel, wicked thing.”

The smile on his face faded and his features grew serious. “Tressa, I know you already know this, but I consider you my wife. You are mine.” He stroked his thumb across her bottom lip, and something in her chest glowed with the rightness of this. Of him. “I already have the ring, your parents’ approval, and the seal of approval from the Council of Houses. I haven’t officially asked because you were mourning Roo. The minute you’re ready, truly ready, just say the word.”

Love, so much love, flooded her chest and suddenly she was blinking away tears. “I love you; you know that?”

He grinned down at her again and pressed his forehead against hers. “I know.”

Ren finally pulled out of her and rolled onto his side. He propped his head up on one hand and reached over and started drawing a pattern on Tressa’s bare thigh. “I also need to tell you something I heard from Ayres.”

That made Tressa’s muscles lock up. It had to be about Rorax, or Ayres wouldn’t have bothered. “What did he say?”

“Ayres brought Rorax on an assignment recently, and Rorax sacrificed herself for him and a little girl, saving them from a camp of Lyondrean soldiers,” Ren said slowly. “He said something like they were all ‘seeing her change’. I want to warn you, because if she continues this trajectory, continues to save Ayres and his soldiers . . .” Ren flicked his gaze up to Tressa’s. “He won’t happily stand aside for you to kill her.”

Tressa was going to be sick. Slowly, she sat up and rolled herself into a ball, looking at her toes. “Rorax is a monster, a villain,” she whispered.

She could see Ren nodding out of the corner of her eye. “I know you”re hurting, Tress, and so far, what she did means nothing. But if it becomes a pattern . . .” He shrugged. “Who knows what Ayres will do.”

Tressa sighed and looked down at Ren’s chest. “The Contestars are leaving for the North this morning to head to the location of the next trial,” Tressa murmured. “While they’re gone, I’m going to ask around and see what Rorax has actually been up to.” Ren saw pain in her eyes.

“I miss Roo so much, Ren. It’s this gaping hole in my heart that seems to get bigger every day. I can’t forget what happened to her. And why.” She looked up at Ren with tears clinging to her eyelashes.

“I know, sweetheart, I know.” Ren kissed her forehead. “When you want your revenge, I will be right here, ready to do whatever you need.”
