25. Chapter Twenty-Five

Chapter Twenty-Five

Carter

L ina wraps her legs tightly around my waist, and I push her back against the lavatory door while gripping the heavy fabric of her uniform skirt. I can’t believe we’re both on the same flight crew headed to Cabo San Lucas for the night.

“We have to hurry,” she breathes out. I waste no time, nestling myself into the heat between her legs. She’s already wet, allowing me to slide in easily.

“Fuck, I’ve missed being inside of you,” I groan into the sweet skin on her neck.

She giggles, fisting my hair. “You feel so good.”

Sliding my hands under the thin string of her panties, I get a better hold on her ass, securing her in place as I thrust into her.

“Mmm,” she moans.

Her pussy sucks me in deeper with every roll of my hips. I press my lips together, biting back a flurry of grunts threatening to escape at any moment. The sound of my rock-hard dick pushing through the moisture between her legs is the only thing we hear in this confined space. Lina’s head tips back, letting out a groan, which is a little louder than she probably wanted.

Without thinking, I capture her mouth, swallowing her little noises. As if giving her a vessel to relieve her pleasure, she clasped her hand around the back of my head to hold my face in place—using my mouth to breathe and moan into. It’s fucking hot and animalistic. Electricity shoots up my legs, causing my legs to almost buckle underneath me.

In less than five minutes, Lina and I get our fill of one another by reaching our climax. But once we’re finished, there’s no time for sweet talking or cuddling. It’s not like I don’t want to. I’d spend all day in here with her if I didn’t have a plane to fly.

“I’ll go out first, then I’ll distract everyone so you can come out,” she offers, peppering my neck with sweet kisses.

I nod, still panting and coursing with adrenaline. “Okay.”

Lina unsuccessfully attempts to straighten her skirt, sliding her hands down to smooth the fabric.

I laugh.

She flashes me a quick side-eye, then glances in the mirror to fix a few loose hairs that have fallen out of her high ponytail. “Count to thirty, and then you should be good to go.”

Tucking my shirt back into my pants, I lean in for one more kiss on her soft lips. “Stay with me in Cabo tonight?”

Pinching her flush between me and the lavatory door, she slides the lock over. “I’ll think about it.”

“You better tighten that tie around your neck. Your chest always splotches red after you come,” I tease.

“Funny,” she spits before slipping away and closing the door behind her.

God. Her sass lights me up. We both know she’ll be staying with me, but I love that she makes me work for it—and I won’t ever stop .

I start counting .

Thirty, twenty-nine, twenty-eight, twenty-seven, twenty-six, twenty-five… After she shared with me what happened to her in high school, my feral urge to protect her only amplified. It’s now as powerful as a raging fire and only spreading with each passing day.

Twenty-four, twenty-three, twenty-two, twenty-one … I held back every bit of anger growing inside of me as she recounted that horrific incident. There were a million questions I wanted to ask her, combined with an equal amount of emotions that I was feeling on her behalf.

Twenty, nineteen, eighteen, seventeen, sixteen … I stayed with Lina until she fell asleep. Then I went home, changed into my workout clothes, and ran all the anger off at three in the morning. To my unfortunate surprise, I still woke up the following day, ready to fucking track down that Kirk motherfucker and kill him.

Fifteen, fourteen, thirteen, twelve, eleven ... But then I told myself this is Lina’s story to tell, and it’s her story to do what she wants. And despite my rage, I pushed it all aside, knowing the best way to support her is by showing her how I feel about her and what an amazing woman she is. And that’s what I plan to do for as long as I can.

Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five ... As I count, I can barely make out the muffled voices on the other side of the thin wall. Then, everything suddenly goes silent, but I continue. The cabin needs to be completely clear so that I can walk out of the same bathroom that Lina did less than a minute ago without raising suspicions .

Four, three, two, one … I take one final breath, hoping that no one is around. I slide the latch on the lock over. It makes an annoyingly hard sound. Pulling the door open, I decided to stroll out casually, as if I had walked in after she was finished.

I straighten my shoulders and take a few steps out before I hear the sounds of someone clearing their throat behind me. The plane is empty except for Avery, who is squished in the corner behind the bathrooms with her phone up to her ear.

Fuck. We’ve been caught. She had to have heard us. Instead of looking shocked, she shoots me a wicked smile, confirming that she already knew. Avery is Lina’s best friend, and I bet she knows more than I think she does.

I sigh in relief. Smiling, I tip my cap in her direction and make my way up the aisle and into the cockpit. The flight was quick and smooth–as expected. The minute the wheels touch down on the tarmac, my dick is ready to go for round two. I blew my load inside of her less than two hours ago, but I’m desperate to do it again.

Once the passengers have successfully deboarded the plane, I will mentally start planning my night with her. The hotel that we’ll be staying for the night is one the airline uses often. It’s beautiful and has incredible suites. I hope they have one available for tonight because my plan is to fuck her all over that place.

Our flight crew takes the shuttle over to the hotel. The warm Cabo San Lucas breeze whips around me the moment we’re dropped off in front of the hotel. The tropical air immediately flips on vacation mode. The large open lobby boasts two water features and opens to an infinity pool with a swim-up bar.

I slide my phone out to text Lina.

Me: I’m getting us a suite. Check in as normal.

Lina: I never said I was staying with you, Captain Hernandez.

Me: You are, baby.

Lina: What if I’m tired from our preflight escapade?

Me: Well then, you better loosen up because you’re about to be in for round two.

My eyes quickly dart up, and I catch her giggling as she reads my message.

Lina: I do have a hot running partner who always makes sure I’m getting a good workout.

I grin.

Me: I bet he works you out in other ways too.

Lina: Let’s just say my legs are still sore from our last cardio season.

My dick twitches. There is no way she’s going to get out of this.

Me: Now go check in so no one thinks any differently. I’ ll go last.

Lina: I don’t like being told what to do.

Me: By me? You do.

I hit send, then glance over to see her standing a few feet in front of me. She looks back, arching a brow.

I give her a smirk, then turn to Christian, who keeps commenting about how our tracking app from the airline indicates there are favorable spots around here for a run.

“We could all head out on a jog before dinner,” Christian suggests.

I have no interest in running as a group. I hope I’m not the only one who isn’t in the mood.

“I might be up for a quick cardio session,” Avery comments, glancing at Lina, but Lina’s focus is on me. She quickly scrunches her nose, and I can tell we’re both on the same page about how we want this night to go.

“I don’t think we’re up for it today,” I say to the group while patting my friend’s shoulder.

“Fine. I’ll go by myself after dinner,” Christian complains.

From the corner of my eye, I see Avery, Lina, and two of the other flight attendants walk up to the counter. After letting everyone go before me, I’m the last to check in. Everyone bundles together off to the side, giving me plenty of privacy to inquire about a suite.

And if luck could not have been more on my side, they have one last suite available for the night.

Walking up to rejoin the group, I hear them start discussing dinner plans .

“What do you guys want to do for dinner?” Christian asks.

Avery shrugs her shoulders at the same time as one of the other flight attendants. I can’t remember her name. This is odd because I usually know everyone on the flight crew’s names. I must have been so wrapped up with fucking Lina in the bathroom on the plane that my mind is drawing a blank. And usually, a good lay clears my head.

My eyes drag back over to the sexy, tall blonde standing only a few feet away from me. She covers her mouth and laughs as she and Avery share a quiet joke. I could watch her all damn day.

“Well, since no one cares where we go, let’s meet at the outdoor restaurant down here,” I suggest, removing my cap and grabbing my luggage handle with the same hand.

I have a little surprise for her tonight, and the faster I get going, the better. I need to separate from the group not only to coordinate the surprise but also to head to my room, which is now a suite.

The group nods in unison before we all find the elevators. Our rooms are always on the same floor. I need to come up with an excuse to separate myself from them. My suite is in a different part of the hotel, so I hang back and let the rest of the group enter.

Everyone is in the middle of their own conversations when Lina’s big blue eyes find mine. Her eyebrows pinch together, and a confused expression crosses her face.

While shooting her a half smile, I hold out my phone, indicating to her to check her texts. She nods, blushing. I catch a slight nibble of her bottom lip as she follows the others into the small space .

“Aren’t you coming, Carter?” Christian twists around, sticking his arm out to stop the elevator doors from closing.

“I think I forgot my credit card at the counter.” I gesture behind me. “I’ll meet you guys at dinner.”

“Cool,” he replies, releasing the doors.

Lina cocks a hip against the guard railing attached to the mirrored walls. One arm casually rests over the extended handle of her black Tumi suitcase. She holds my stare until the two doors close.

I hastily sprint over to the concierge’s desk on the far side of the lobby.

As soon as I am within a foot of the desk, I burst out in a rushed tone, “How fast can you get me six dozen white roses?”

“For a lady, I assume?” The man isn’t fazed by my urgent request and simply straightens his tie.

“Yes.”

He smiles confidently. “I can do that for you in under an hour, sir.”

“Wonderful,” I say, pulling out my credit card from my back pocket.

He swirls in his chair and starts typing at his computer. “Is there anything else that we can do for the lady, sir?” he asks without breaking his focus on the computer screen.

Money is no option, and I have plenty of it, but I don’t want to go overboard. The last thing I want to do is scare her away. I better keep it romantic and simple. “Add another six dozen to that,” I tell him. “Oh, and champagne with chocolate strawberries.”

The man’s eyebrows rise above his thick-framed glasses. “You want a twelve-dozen? Is that correct, sir?”

“Yeah. That’s correct.”

He cracks his neck and rolls his shoulders, then rests his elbows on the glass covering on the oak desk. “We have dedicated proposal packages.”

My heart halts all movements and slams into the back of my ribs. Marriage? Oh my god. With Lina? In a fucking heartbeat.

I chuckle, rubbing the side of my arm. Taking a quick look over my shoulder, I check again for anyone from our flight crew. “I have to get her to like me enough first.”

His eyebrows furrow, and his mouth puckers. “Of course, sir. We will make sure she likes you— a lot. ”

“My man.” I smile, reaching over to shake his hand. “Thank you.”

“It’s of utmost importance that our guests have the best experience here at the resort,” he says, shifting back to his computer. “I’m going to need a few things from you before we begin.”

As I give him my credit card, suite number, and an estimate of when Lina and I will be back after dinner with the rest of the crew, I think about what else I can do for her. I’ve never had such a strong desire to spoil or take care of another person in my whole life.
