"Mrs.Shekhawat"
Oh, How much a voice can comfort you. Now that she knows he is outside, her heart knows it is going to be alright.
She tried to come out of hold but he was holding her tightly causing her to cry in pain. She elbowed him in the ribs because of sudden pain he pushed her harshly causing her forehead to hit the table and blood started to come out.
She stood up with difficulty but her vision blurred a little. She tried to focus and ran to the door and hurriedly opened it. Without a second thought, she let her body fall into his arms.
Tears rolled down her cheeks, thinking about what could have happened. The memories from years ago flashed in front of her eyes and all she could see was her helpless self, crying, screaming all alone in the darkness.
She hid her face in his chest and felt his arms around her.
"What happened Mrs.Shekhawat?" Reyansh's words trailed off when he looked up into the room. He didn't expect her to fall into his arms when he knocked at the door, nor did he expect the man in his room with an injured head.
Reyansh's jaw clenched and eyes darkened. He didn't need anyone to tell him what was going on. The man with whom he was supposed to work was in his room And Arya was scared, horrified and crying in his arms.
He had been feeling restless since Arya left and when Sathvik left he started to feel something was wrong when he didn't show up. After some time he listened to his mind and came here.
He was passing from here when he heard some noise.
"What a wrong timing man. I was having a good time with her" Sathvik's voice did nothing but make him even more angry. He didn't like him even a bit but because of business he had to cooperate but not now.
He was behaving extra sweetly at the party with Arya which Reyansh didn't like even a bit and all the time Sathvik was trying his best to not show what he in reality was but he forgot with whom he was lying.
He is Reyansh shekhawat who now knows just by looking at people that they are real or not.
And Sathvik was not anyone near real.
Surely Sathvik was scared by looking at the man in front of him. It was Reyansh shekhawat after all and if he wanted, he'd make him beg for his survival and that was the reason he needed to pour the blame on someone else.
"Why do you think I came here? She called me and now She's just making it up by crying and shit" Arya lifted her head to look at her husband, who had his eyes fixed on the man in front of her.
Jaw clenched, nose flaring, red eyes and the way his body was stiff was Enough to scare her.
".....I didn't do anything-”
"Get lost" Arya flinched at his voice, which roared throughout the corridor.
She tried to pull herself out but he pulled her closer to himself and rubbed her back. But this wasn't enough to pacify her.
What if he believed the story made up by Sathvik? Is he trusting her or will blame her afterward?
Meanwhile Sathvik, who gulped in fear, started walking out of the room.
"Make sure I won't see you again because if I did, the world won't even remember who you were" Reyansh growled when he passed by. He then looked at Arya and she saw his eyes softening but couldn't ignore the fire in his eyes. The fire is enough to burn down the world if needed.
"Reyansh, trust me. I came here because I..."
This was the first time she had called him by his name and it did something to him but it was not the time for all of this.
"Are you okay?" He cut her off and wiped her Tears. That's when his eyes found the cut on her head. The next moment, she was in the air and he walked into the room. Making her sit on the bed, Reyansh sat in front of her.
He pulled out the first aid box from the side table and started to clean the wound. He then bandaged it and gave her a painkiller which she silently took.
“I didn't even know-”
"Did I ask for any explanation?" He snapped at her, his jaw tightened. The tone of his voice was Enough to fill her eyes with the fresh pool of Tears.
Realizing his tone, he cursed under his breath and let out an angry sigh.
"I'm sorry" He murmured and pulled her head to his chest. His one hand stroked her hair while the other one caressed her back.
"You don't need to explain at all." He mumbled, Tears made their way from her eyes to her cheeks listening to him.
"He tried.... touch...he did... The Door Close …and.....I asked .....not to come......near…..He.." She started breathing unevenly and her body trembled. More tears rolled down her cheeks and she felt her chest tightening.
"Calm down. Please" She heard him calling her when she pulled out of the hug and tried to inhale some oxygen.
"....it hurts......my chest....." She opened her mouth to inhale some more breath when she felt her windpipe being clogged up. She was having a panic attack. She was unable to breathe.
Reyansh’s mind blocks out. He was unable to think properly what to do. He has never handled anything like that. He tried to console Arya but nothing changed.
"Breath with me...I'm here. Focus on me and inhale with me." He stroked her knuckles when she looked at him.
Then he remembered Arohi’s words and immediately took his phone and dialed Arohi. She picked up on the first call and heard Reyansh’s panicked voice.
“Arohi. Reyansh speaking. Arya is having a panic attack and I don't know what to do” he said.
“What happened? Leave it.. give the phone to her” Reyansh put the call on speaker.
“Arya listen to me. Calm down. Take deep breaths”
“Ruhi…He came…Sathvik…Touch” she sobbed.
“He is not here Aaru..look Reyansh is there with you. I am here. You are safe. Nothing happened. Just focus on breath. will you?”
“I-I will” She nodded.
“Reyansh Are you there?, help her” Arohi said.
"I'm here. Nothing will happen. I am here. Just Breathe with me okay? Breath in..... Breath out...." She did as she was asked to.
After almost 10 minutes of breathing along with him while He continued to murmur sweet things to her, Arya felt herself calming down. Her breathing was coming back to normal and the chest pain was almost gone but her head was still feeling heavy and hurting very bad.
Reyansh stretched out his arm to pick up the glass of water from the nearby table.
"Have some water." She sipped a little water when he brought the glass to her lips and hugged her again.
“Arya I am coming tomorrow” Arohi said and cut the call.
"You okay now?" She didn't respond. She couldn't because she wasn't okay. The situation wasn't any less traumatizing when the same thing happened years ago.
She was stronger now but the years back she wasn't and today, she was seeing herself again at that place.
"Arya" Reyansh called her.
"Are you okay?" Reyansh again asked when he didn't get an answer.
She hummed.
They fall back to silence again but only they know that there was a whole war of thoughts inside their heads. One was thinking about how to brutally end this guy who tried to hurt his wife. Other was repeatedly thinking about what just happened now.
'Did Reyansh trust me? No he doesn't even talk to me. How can he trust me? But what he did show the other way around what if he was silent for now and then he would leave me like everyone else'
She didn't know when she fell asleep in his embrace feeling as safe as ever she had felt.
Reyansh pulled her more towards herself hugging her tightly feeling the comfort he had never felt.
'Please don't leave me' he heard her saying in sleep and a lonely tear from her eyes fell.
He looked at her, crossed his thumb over her cheek, wiped the tear and kissed her forehead. His lips lingered there for a while.
"Never, how can I leave you sunshine" He covered her with a blanket and turned off the lights.
He took his phone, made his way toward the balcony and made a phone call.
'I need Sathvik Kakkar in our old company building' He cut the call after getting his response and made his way towards bed.
He Lay down on the bed and pulled her towards himself. He saw how she was trembling slightly.
"It's okay. I am here" He whispered and kissed her forehead and fell into deep and peaceful slumber after noting to give that person a dreadful death who tried to hurt her sunshine and make her cry.
He didn't notice Arya's Phone which was continuously ringing.
__________
"Why isn't she picking up my calls?" Aryan talked to himself pacing back and forth in his room.
"What happened bro?" Arav, who was passing by, asked him, looking at him, walking with a frowning face.
"Arya is not picking up my calls nor has she been replying to any messages since morning" He replied.
"She must be busy," he said as a matter of fact.
"I know but this busy that she can't answer one call and I am feeling a little uneasy I am going to her"
"Stop, Bhai See the time. We will go to her tomorrow. I am also missing Di" Arav exclaimed.
"I hope she is fine"
