CHAPTER 45

*PRESENT*

“White dress”

Aaron

I was waiting for my wife at the other end of the altar. The garden in my parents’ house was decorated with white jasmine flowers, our family seated in the chairs decorated with gold.

Our song started to sound from my sister Ayla’s violin, and her classmate’s piano. Both were music prodigies.

My wife was walking towards me in a gorgeous white dress that Cassie had made exclusively for her, little white flowers decorating her dark, wavy hair.

Her lips were painted red, a serene, happy smile. Beautiful hazel eyes looking me with so much adoration and love.

When she got next to me, we kissed. A small, sweet peck.

My mom cleared her throat, and we turned around. She was smiling at us, ready to officiate our ten-year celebration.

I grabbed my wife’s hand and focused as much as possible on every word my mom was saying, but it was so hard when Maya was looking at me with sparkling eyes.

Soon after, it was time to kiss, and I kissed her tenderly. She was melting in my arms.

After some photos and congratulations from our family. I followed her to a quiet place.

“We were crazy, marrying at twenty,”

my wife joked. Her voice betraying her. She was more than happy that we did.

“You look stunning, my love,”

I said, caressing her cheek.
