Chapter 8 The Girl in the Flood

Checking my phone, it was five in the morning.

At this time, it was the second day of the Torrential Rain.

Exactly the same as in my previous life.

I tiptoed to the window and looked down through the blurry rain curtain.

I could vaguely see an inflatable boat blocked by someone outside this building, with three people on it.

The water level had almost flooded the first floor, so the neighbors were now standing in the corridor on the second floor.

Occasionally, hands from inside the building reached out, trying to grab things from the inflatable boat.

Brother Yong and Scarred Brother were vigilantly protecting the large and small packages of supplies.

Xu Hui, on the other hand, held a long watermelon knife in her hand, staring coldly at everyone inside the building.

Between the two groups, a young girl was struggling in the floodwater.

She was trying to climb up but was being pressed down by several long poles from inside the building.

A neighbor spoke up: "Brother Yong, Scarred Brother, as long as you give us half the supplies, we'll let this sister go."

Yes, the girl being pressed into the water was the younger sister from the 1204 sisters.

The tragic scream I heard earlier was from the younger sister.

Wait, why only the younger sister came back? Where was the older sister?

Brother Yong and Scarred Brother exchanged a glance but said nothing.

The next second, Xu Hui raised her long knife and slashed fiercely at the girl in the water.

The girl let out a short, tragic cry, quickly losing her voice and sinking into the dirty floodwater.

Blood splattered across Xu Hui's face, looking like a ghost.

She laughed coldly and said to the neighbors blocking the way:

"Want to threaten us with her to hand over supplies?

When the Apocalypse comes, I'm not a saint. If anyone wants to rob, ask my knife first."
