Chapter 11 The Birthday

I found Mu Jinci in a restaurant with Chen Yi.

Chen Yi’s face changed the moment he saw me.

I walked over and sat across from them.

“What are you doing here?” Mu Jinci asked coldly.

“I came to—”

She cut me off. “Even if you’re trying to make up for my birthday, I won’t forgive you that easily.”

Just then the waiter brought a bouquet and handed it to Mu Jinci.

“Ordered by the gentleman beside you,” the waiter said, nodding toward Chen Yi.

“Thank you,” Mu Jinci said.

She touched the petals and found a necklace hidden inside.

Chen Yi naturally fastened it around her neck.

“Mu Jinci, do you like it?”

“Yes. I love it. Thank you, Chen Yi.” Mu Jinci smiled at him.

Chen Yi scratched his head shyly.

I clapped.

“What a touching scene,” I said sincerely.

“What do you mean?” Mu Jinci frowned.

“Exactly what I said.” I shrugged.

Mu Jinci stared at me. The air around her seemed to drop.

“And yours?” she asked.

“What?”

“Since you’re here to apologize, let’s see what birthday gift you brought.”

I smiled. “I brought something you’ll definitely like.”

“Show me. I hate suspense.”

I calmly pulled out the Divorce Agreement.

Mu Jinci stared, stunned.

“What is this supposed to mean?”

“Divorce.”

Mu Jinci’s brows knit tight. “Trying to gross me out with this? How childish.”

“Gross you out? I don’t have time for games. I already told you on the phone. I want a divorce.”

I ordered a coffee from the waiter.

When it arrived, I sipped it leisurely while Mu Jinci and Chen Yi looked at me in disbelief.

“Su Yueming, do you even realize what you’re saying?” Mu Jinci demanded.

I smiled. “Of course. Just divorce. You like Chen Yi. I no longer like you. We divorce, and you two can remarry while the timing’s good. Everyone wins.”
