Chapter 9 Zhou Yang’s Fury

His gaze swept from top to bottom, back and forth between my slightly flushed face and Chen Heng's arms holding me.

In that expression that had always been so still, cracks of losing control finally appeared and kept widening.

He stormed forward and yanked Chen Heng away.

"Who gave you permission to touch her!"

I lost my support and fell onto the steps.

Zhou Yang seemed not to see it. As if he had lost all reason, he swung a punch at Chen Heng.

Chen Heng's eyes flicked toward me for a moment, then he quickly twisted Zhou Yang's arm and shoved him hard.

Zhou Yang staggered and fell to the ground.

Chen Heng turned at once to help me up. "How are you? Are you all right?"

I shook my head at him and raised my hand to touch the blood at the corner of his mouth.

"I'm fine. You're the one who's hurt here!"

But this gesture seemed to set something off in Zhou Yang again. From the corner of my eye, I saw him get up once more, furious, and come toward us.

Seeing his fist about to swing down again, I slapped him across the face.

"Have you lost your mind, Zhou Yang!"

Zhou Yang froze in place, eyes full of shock.

As if he couldn't believe I had just slapped him.

He stared straight at me. After a long moment, he looked at Chen Heng beside me, and suddenly he laughed.

"No wonder even Mom couldn't talk you into coming back.

"So... it's because of him, is it?"

I ignored his look completely and said coldly, "I need to remind you. We're already divorced."

"But I haven't signed the Divorce Agreement yet!"

His voice rose sharply, and he fixed his eyes on me tightly.

"Until the divorce procedures are finished, our marriage is still valid.

"Right now, you're cheating. Do you understand? Xin Xin!"
