Chapter 7. #3

Dani blushed, a slow, beautiful flush that crept from her neck and up to her cheeks.

It was the first time he had seen her uncomfortable, the first crack in her perfect, professional facade.

She had been a goddess of control, a master of her emotions, but his words had found their mark.

Constance could no longer hide her laugh, a light, airy sound that filled the room.

Holly shook her head, a soft, amused smile on her face.

"I understand, sir," Dani said, her voice a little strained as she tried to pull herself together. She stood, her body a tight, disciplined line. "If you will excuse me, I have to file my report with Gloria."

Brian nodded and stood, his hand out. He shook hers, and for a few seconds, their eyes met. He saw a flicker of something in her gray eyes, a mix of shock, embarrassment, and a hint of a new, dangerous desire. Her eyes lingered on him for a few seconds before she closed the door behind herself.

Holly turned toward Brian, her eyes wide with a quiet, knowing amusement. "Where did that come from, Boss?" she whispered.

Brian smirked. "Fuck, I have no idea. But my mind conjured up a picture of her naked on my bed, and it just… I just blurted it out."

"The way she blushed," Constance whispered, a mischievous glint in her eyes. She stood, her body a fluid, graceful curve. "She was actually thinking about it."

"Time for breakfast, sir," she said, her voice a low, husky purr. "And then you have a… shall we say, meeting in the kitchen."

Brian smirked, his mind already conjuring up a picture of Dominique, a beautiful, married chef, and the promise she had made.

He followed Holly and Constance out of the office and down to the lower floor for the dining room.

His new life was a constant, glorious surprise, and he was the center of it all.

While Brian was eating his breakfast, completely unaware of the turmoil he had created, Dani stepped into Gloria's office on the ninety-fourth floor.

The office was a stark, minimalist space, all clean lines and state-of-the-art security monitors.

It was a world away from the lavish luxury of Brian's penthouse, a world of professional discipline and quiet efficiency.

"Sis, how did the meeting go?" Gloria asked, her voice a calm, professional counterpoint to the chaos of the morning.

Dani sighed, a long, drawn-out sound of pure, unadulterated frustration. "You could have warned me," she said, a hint of a plea in her voice.

"Warned you?" Gloria asked, a knowing smirk on her face. Her sister had always been the most professional of them all, a woman of unyielding discipline and iron-clad control.

Dani ran a hand through her short blonde hair, her perfect facade cracking just a little. "God, I want to fuck him, sis," she whispered, her voice a low, raw confession. "But it will kill my career."

Gloria smiled. She knew her sister was not a woman to be swayed by a handsome face, a rich man, or a fleeting moment of desire.

But this was different. This was Brian. They were four sisters, all trained in the art of security.

Gloria was the tactician, focused on training and logistics.

Dani was a master of personal protection, her focus on the environment around her client.

Hannah was a weapons specialist, currently serving in the Marines.

And then there was their baby sister, Jo, or Josephine, a prodigy of instinct and deadly skill.

At just nineteen, she was a sponge, absorbing everything, and the sisters already knew that if it came down to it, Jo would be the new head of the company.

"Dani, you know if you do that, you are done," Gloria said, her voice a gentle, but firm reminder of the rules.

Dani nodded. "He is strong, he is focused, and yes, he will fuck a million women," she said, her voice a low, sensual murmur. She looked at Gloria, her eyes, those beautiful storm-gray eyes, filled with a new, burning desire. "He is fucking handsome, too."

Gloria nodded. She had had the same thought when she had met Brian, a man who was so much more than his fortune. "Your plans?" Gloria asked.

Dani shook her head, not to say no, but to clear her thoughts, to find the right words to describe the storm of emotions raging inside her. "I will do my job," she whispered, her voice a quiet, determined sound.

"For how long?" Gloria asked, a playful challenge in her voice.

Dani smirked. "God, Gloria, I have no fucking clue.

If I fall for this temptation, will I be used and thrown away like used trash, or will he ask me to stay?

" she said, the words a raw, vulnerable confession.

She was not just a security guard; she was a woman, and she was falling in love with a man who could have any woman in the world.

Gloria smirked. "Let's start with you doing your job. We can explore the rest later."

Dani smirked and nodded, a silent agreement to the dangerous game they were playing. "Yeah. And Gloria," Dani said, her voice a little softer now.

"Don't tell Dad?" Gloria whispered, a knowing look on her face.

Dani nodded, a blush creeping up her neck and onto her cheeks. The secret, a dangerous, thrilling secret, was now theirs to share.
