19. Chapter 19 #3

I enter my room and begin my nighttime routine; however, I’m sure that sleep is the last thing I’m going to catch, with Surly Bastard on the brain.

OLIVER

Fuck.

Well, the good news is my dick definitely isn’t broken, considering the moment I locked myself in here, it sprang up faster than a whack-a-mole, currently trying to free itself from its polyester shackles.

What the fuck did I just do?

Clutching my hands in my curls, I try to search around the room for answers, but all I can see is the same thing over and over again.

The taste of Luna’s lips, what would have happened if I hadn’t broken away?

The way she started to kiss back. The immediate craving of wanting to pin her down and fuse both our bodies into my sofa until it left a permanent dent.

Shit.

Suddenly, something inside me clicks; it now makes sense as to why I had to get away from the live-in nanny as soon as possible, one that I refuse to acknowledge. I had to be wrong about this.

It can’t - I can’t be…

Thankfully, I’m ripped out of my thoughts by my phone ringing in my pocket.

I pull it out to see Min-Joon’s caller ID, perfect.

I was looking for an out, and now I get to bask in the pleasure of ripping Min-Joon to pieces.

Why the fuck did I listen to him in the first place?

! If I hadn’t, none of this would’ve happened; this was all his fault.

“Hey there, sunshine,” he hums, with that disgustingly positive tone of his.

“Fuck you.” I snarl, the line goes quiet for a few seconds, then fills with his laughter bellowing through the loudspeaker.

“What did I do?” he laughs, but he can tell by one huff of anger from me that I’m not happy.

Meaning he did do something. Something that set me off.

I take a deep breath, flashing back to what happened earlier.

I can’t fucking believe I let him get in my head, and what’s worse, the moment I knew she was single, I knocked down a wall and got comfortable.

So comfortable, I fucking kissed the girl.

Oh god.

Everything I had done the past week was wrong.

Ignoring Luna, glaring at Luna, staying out just so I didn’t have to be near her or finding sanctuary in my office every chance I could get, may have helped me temporarily, but it left room for all my pent-up frustration to build with nowhere to go, and all it took was my boy’s nanny to curse at me, to catch that glimpse of her other side again…

and something just snapped… My whole job is based around people yelling at me and trying to convince me I’m wrong daily.

But Luna was different; she unleashed that side of her she’d kept buried, the one I’d been dying to see again. Her intoxicating berry-flavoured scent, her puppy-like glare and those voluptuous curves bewitched me.

One minute she was telling me all about where she really goes every Saturday, and the next, I was leaning in, and by then it was too late. I fed my curiosity, tasted the forbidden fruit, and the whole ordeal won’t stop looping over and over in my head.

FUCK!

“Hello? Yah! Oliver, are you still there?” Min-Joon calls, bringing me back a second time, helping me realise just how far gone I am. I shove down the urge to tell him about what just happened as I’m not ready for that yet, and instead focus on the reason I answered his call.

“She’s single, you twat! I should have never listened to you!” I snap at him when I could hear how hard he’s trying to hold in his laughter as I fill him in on everything that happened before the kiss, when his chuckles at my expense only fuelled my rage towards him.

“You bastard, you have the nerve to laugh after what you just made me do?!” I growl when I’m interrupted by his uncontainable laughter breaking free.

“Hell yes,” he yells, laughing just as hard as Luna was earlier. The kind of laugh that cuts off at the lungs and sounds as if it’s hard to breathe.

I can’t say I’ve ever laughed like that before, but considering how it sounded, there was nothing fun about it.

Especially not after what happened after that.

I sit there in my office chair, like a fucking jester, taking no notice of my best friend laughing at my stupidity because Luna is the only thing on my mind.

The kiss replays, exciting my unattended boner further.

I re-imagine the way she laughed earlier, holding the sofa for support, and how she had no idea that crouching like that gave me the perfect view down her dress, or the way the lace of her bra strongly supported her breasts, causing me to crumble in a way I haven’t before.

“So, what did you do? kiss or somet-” he sniggers.

I hang up on Min-Joon mid-laugh. Frantically putting my phone on silent so I can ignore his future calls and force myself into work because I have just realised two things, and neither of them is good.

The first being my problem isn’t a medical concern; it’s sexual frustration, and the other being the only way my body is willing to get past it is if I fuck Theo’s nanny. A boundary I’d never consider crossing, but then again, never did I ever think kissing an employee was even a possibility.

Either way, I’m fucked.
