Epilogue

Sera

Another month has passed since Blade”s former parents decided to show up at The Compound gates. It’s been peaceful since that day. There’s been no drama, no threats. We’ve all just been enjoying our lives. It’s been wonderful. I never imagined I could have a life like this, but I’ll be forever grateful that I do.

Today is exactly one month since I was implanted, and I can do my first pregnancy test. There’s a chance that even though it’s been a month, it’s still too early for it to show up, but I can’t help myself. I’m excited.

After waiting for the time indicated, I look over at the test. I can’t believe it. I”m now staring down at a positive pregnancy test. It took after the first time; that’s amazing. I thought it would take so much longer than this. I feel the tears of joy run down my cheeks, and I can”t help but smile. I quickly wipe the tears away and wipe the smile off my face. I don”t want to give away the good news. I want to actually be able to tell them with words, not my emotions and expressions.

I walk out of the bathroom and have to laugh to myself at the sight that greets me. Wrath, Flame, and Blade are all sitting at the end of my bed, staring at the bathroom door I”ve just walked through. As soon as I was awake and functioning this morning, Wrath and Flame came over, knowing I planned on doing the test and wanting to be here to find out the results right away. For big, bad bikers, they sure are adorable sometimes.

“Well?” Wrath asks in anticipation, his leg bouncing up and down. His hand tightly gripping Flame.

“You”re pregnant!” I let my happiness come through in my voice.

I see Blade smile out of the corner of my eye, but I don”t take my eyes off Flame and Wrath; I want to witness every moment of their reactions. They don”t disappoint either; as soon as the words have left my mouth, Wrath is up off the bed and picking me up in his arms, spinning me around, and I can”t help but laugh. Flame slowly walks over, shaking his head at his husband”s antics.

“Thank you for giving us the greatest gift we could ever receive, Sera.” Flame tells me his voice is full of affection.

He opens his arms for a hug, and I manage to get away from my brother and hug Flame. This is the best news, and I can”t wait to go through this journey and give them their child at the end. God, I”m so excited for them. I know they”re going to be wonderful parents. They”ve already proven that with Cam. Now they get to experience parenthood from the beginning. I can”t wait to see the two big, bad bikers getting wrapped around a tiny baby”s finger. It”s going to be quite entertaining.

“Congratulations.” Blade says, walking over and slapping them both on the shoulders.

“Thanks.” They both reply in sync.

It’s been a few days since I found out I’m pregnant. I don’t feel much different, but I know that will change soon. I’m quite looking forward to it all. Right now, though, I’m with Wreck at Devil’s Ink. We’re about to close up for the night, and I can’t wait to head home. Blade, Shadow, and my Dad should be back anytime.

They’ve been heading out over the past month, handling everyone on the list from my past. Last night was the last of the list. The businessmen brothers. After talking it over with Eagle, they decided on a plan that would end them but not bring any attention to any of us. That’s why all three of them went; the plan needed more than one person to ensure it went off without any issues. I’m glad all this is going to be over and done with before the little bean I’m carrying makes an appearance. They deserve to enter this world without half of the family traveling around the country, ending the lives of some vile human beings.

I’m brought out of my thoughts when Wreck comes running into my workspace, eyes wild and looking worried. I immediately go on alert. In all the time I’ve known him, I have never, not once, seen this look on Wreck’s face before.

“What’s wrong?” I ask worriedly.

“The building has been surrounded. I have no idea who they are, but we’re in trouble, Sera.”

My hand immediately drops to my stomach, worrying for not just myself and Wreck overtaking my body but for the life I’m carrying. I know I’m not supposed to say anything yet, but Wreck needs to know. Whatever we plan on doing, we need to consider the baby.

“Wreck.” I say, drawing his attention back to me. “I’m pregnant with Wrath and Flame’s child.”

I didn’t think it was possible, but he now looks even more worried, and not only that, he looks determined. I’ve got a feeling I’m not going to like whatever he’s planning on doing now that he’s got this new information.

“Come with me right now.” He says, waving me after him.

I don’t argue; I just follow him into the office. He closes the door behind us and walks towards the desk, placing his hand underneath. I have no idea what the fuck he’s doing until the bookcase in the corner starts to move, revealing a hidden room.

“Get inside, Sera. You’ll be safe inside; it’s a safe room.”

“What about you?” I ask as I start to move. I really don’t want to be going in here, but I know I need to stay safe for the baby’s sake.

“They know someone here. I can’t hide with you, or they’ll never leave. Don’t even try to argue with me; you need to get inside and protect yourself and that child. You’ll see everything from the system inside.”

Before I can say anything, Wreck is gently pushing me inside and closing me in. As I look around, I see what he meant by system. There’s a small setup in the corner with three monitors and a computer tower.

Walking over, I shake the mouse, and the screens come to life, showing images from the camera”s positioned both inside and outside Devil’s Ink. Wreck wasn’t kidding when he said we were surrounded. There’s got to be at least ten fucking men out there. All decked out in black clothing. I can’t see any of their faces; all of them are covered with black ski masks.

I can see Wreck on screen; he’s left the office, closed the door behind himself, and is walking towards the main reception area, acting like nothing is wrong. He’s going to give himself over to whoever these people are to protect me. I feel sick.

As I watch, three men enter the front of the shop, and three enter the back. All heading straight for Wreck. The others have stayed outside, keeping watch by the looks of it. Pulling my phone out, I see I have no signal. Either it’s blocked because I’m in here or whoever these guys are have jammed the signal.

Using the mouse, I click around on the screens to see if there’s any way of getting a message out. We need fucking help—that much, I’m sure of. As I mess around on the computer, I keep one eye on Wreck.

To my horror, I watch as all six men surround Wreck. Wreck takes a defensive stance, but even I know the odds are against him, and there’s nothing I can do. I’ve just got to sit here and watch. All six men attack Wreck at once; he manages to get in a few hits, but the numbers are too much, and within a few minutes, Wreck is on the floor unconscious, blood pouring from his mouth and nose from where they hit him.

I wish there was sound so I could hear what these guys were saying, but there’s not, so I’m totally clueless. I watch as the biggest one of Wreck’s attackers bends down and lifts him over his shoulder before carrying him towards the backdoor. The others follow behind him.

Switching the cameras over, I watch as Wreck is carried outside and thrown into a black van with no plates. All of the attackers jump in too, and then they’re driving off fast.

Looking down at my phone, I see I’ve now got a signal. So it was them blocking it.

Pulling up Wrath’s contact, I hit dial. Tears streaming down my face.

“Hey Sera,” Wrath says as he answers.

“You need to get here now.” I manage to say through my tears.

“What’s wrong?” His voice taking on a serious edge now.

“We were attacked. They’ve taken Wreck.”

“I’m on my way. I’m guessing you’re in the safe room. Stay there until you see me arrive.”

“Okay.” I say quietly before hanging up.

The tears fall harder when I think about the sacrifice Wreck just made. I’m not stupid; I know he did it because I’m carrying his President”s child. He knows what this baby means and has risked everything to keep them safe. I know I need to try and calm down before everyone arrives; they’re going to want to know what happened, and I’m the only one who can answer those questions.

I can”t help but worry about Wreck. I hope he”s okay. I know we”ll find him. There”s no chance in hell that everyone won”t do everything in their power to find him. Especially Shadow.
